D'you want the Seasoned MMO Nerd answer or the writing answer?
So against my better judgment. I watched all of HonedgeArts Online.
...
New rule: you need to have played an MMO for a minimum of 100 hours before you write a fictional one. Ideally- [Insert FFXIV Online copypasta here of course.]
I've added jokes to this but I'm completely serious. Go play an MMORPG before you try to write anything about them. I am begging.

Fellow non-competitive Pokémon trainers, PLEASE listen to me. If you adopt a Pokémon who is from a species that evolves at all, for the love of dragons, *keep track of what typically causes that evolution.* Even if you and your partner aren't regularly battling, certain species have really wild evolutionary triggers!
This caused a lot of issues for my mom as a groomer because people adopt tiny Pokémon with odd evo trigs and then treat them like they're guaranteed to always be tiny. Your Inkay can and will evolve seemingly at random into a Malamar, and suddenly, it is not cute when it tries to cuddle in your lap. This really goes for all pokemon, but please plan long-term.
I live in Nimbasa city, and there is proposed legislation right now for all non-gym tournament registered Pokémon to be issued an everstone collar. In rural areas, it's one thing for your little Growlithe to evolve into an Aracnine. It is another when you live in an apartment building, and he almost burns the place down due to behavioral issues and lack of forethought in his training.

Somehow yes. People really do think that about Unova.
And while I'd argue as an expat it's true in some places (food deserts my beloathed), I'd also say that sandwich bread is perfectly fine.
Man, Unova sucks ass, but do Old World folks, and, like, Kalosians specifically or stuff really think we can't get fresh baked bread?

friendly reminder that zorua and zoroark are living things with needs and opinions and teeth, and not some fluffy little uwu fwiend-shaped teddy bear that exists to look cute for you and mindlessly play along with whatever indignities you'd throw at us.
and unfriendly reminder that just because I in particular come to the internet to unwind and be silly does not mean I'm not willing to teach your pokemon how to most effectively demand the respect and dignity that they deserve!

Marrowfat peas are a specific strain, yeah. Cultivated since the 1700s in Galar at the latest. Green and chonky and known for being the textbook example of what most people imagine when they think of peas!

you CAN do mushy peas with other strains but it won't get the same texture or taste.
What's up with galarians and "mushy peas" anyways?

Person with a Galarian(?) mother here. It's basically oatmeal, just made with dehydrated marrowfat peas. It was originally a cheap and nutritious meal for poor peasants who couldn't afford much else.
Why peas? Galar is suspiciously good conditions for growing peas, they store well when dehydrated, and the nutrient-rich nature of sundried marrowfat peas means you don't need much else as accompaniment. (However, it's still a good side for a fish n chips plate)
