I heard over on Bluesky that you're making a secret third route/AU of Reborn, and I'm like, "Arhay2sghhh!!!!@"

Feed me with info on it (if you're ready to share it)! Also, a Blake-centered fic sounds litty dope fire!!!!!

Sure!!! I don't think I'm continuing the mod any time soon, but I might write it out at some point since the story is really fun!

I'll copy and paste stuff I put in the bios for my ocs I made for the route and put everything under read more since it's a lot.

For the mod I had intended the route to be accessible after you defeated the two other routes (Lin and Anna Smiles). At the end of each route you get a part of the password (from Lin and Anna respectful of their routes) to the secret route.

When the route is activated Arceus will talk to you and guide you through the game. He'll give you more choices besides yes and no allowing your character to be more talkative with the cast. With this you can save Corey and Kiki from their deaths (although Kiki will eventually die before post game due to her illness & injuries she gets during Pyrous Mountain). Failing to save Corey will lock you out of this route.

He contacts Jay (Arclight's brother who was previously mentioned in his character ending) to get him to make the Azure Flute. You have to finish the Unown quest given to you by Jay otherwise you'll be locked out of the route when you go through the E4.

Afterwards you get to play the flute after defeating Lin for the second time.

Doing so will unlock one final main game battle and an alternate cutscene.

If you don't play the flute you'll be locked out of the route and go through Anna's or Lin's route depending on your choices and your previous choices for the route will be completely reverted like they never happened. (Although there will be some dialogue from Heather, Lin and Anna)

Some important ocs/characters:

Jay:

Arclight's brother. He gives you a quest where you have to collect all the Unown letters for exchange for rewards as well as some unlockable/limited time cutscenes for characters (he also appears in some sidequest involving his brother). In the third secret route he gets guided by Arceus & the Unown to make the Azure Flute.

You have to do this quest to continue the secret route all the way through. You can choose to skip it in the other two routes and then get all the rewards in the start of post game from him instead.

Apus:

Apus appears in post game and is a vessel Acreus makes for Himself to join the player on their adventures (like what Lin doll/Adult Lin was to child Lin). However unlike Anna and Lin He is actually there from the beginning with you and interacts with the characters and what not.

The reasoning He wants to take control from Anna and Lin and take this place instead is because He is tired of being used as a pawn in their game of sorts.

He does see the player as His friend and allows them to have a lot of control over the choices and events that happen, but just not enough to still be in control.

I originally made this mod with the intentions of giving more characters screentime and got overwhelmed by it because I also did a lot of other projects in the meantime and got burned out as a result.

But making a fic of it sounds like fun!

As for the Blake fic I'm getting more and more interested in making that into a comic instead! Especially since I've really been missing making them. It could also be a good practice to one day start my own original webcomic one day.
