does anybody ever think about the fact that Skout has a dad? I feel like back in the day people were mostly speculating on Toth's family (which is entirely fair, a lot of interesting ideas to be had there) but Skout specifically mentions her pa. Like, they aren't on good terms considering Skout's line about going home "if anyone will have me" and her comments about being a burden but he's presumably alive.
Can you fucking IMAGINE him kicking his daughter out and then a few years later finding her on a wanted poster next to the most feared and wanted outlaw in the entirety of Nowhere?? I'd be losing my fucking mind. What do you even do in that situation.

nothing makes me happier than the fact that 2018 Nomad fandom actually doesn't exist anymore and the people who stayed behind (at least now) know Toth is in fact not a villain but someone put in easily the worst situation imaginable who actually can't be faulted for deciding that playing the long game with near impossible odds was not preferable to the possibility of stopping the death of her people as soon as possible (even if it would have turned out to only be temporary)
