AMA - do you think one direction was a waste of time to develop your solo career?

firstly, what solo career? secondly, of course i don't consider it a waste of time. i reckon i speak for most of us when i say that under the circumstances, we had a bloody good time. a fair bit of the rubbish that went down, thankfully, passed us by. the only thing, and i do mean this sincerely, that still sends shivers down my spine to this day, are those nights when we were cooped up in our hotel rooms for hours on end.. well that and also always being told what to do and what not to do.
