Summer Bummer (Colby x Reader)

AN~ First off I wouldn’t call myself an author, but I’m sorry this is out so late. Yes I know I said that i was gonna turn them into edits but I decided to write this one instead. Sam And Colby Appreciation

Ok, so I’ve been thinking about Sam and Colby’s friendship recently. Honestly, where can I begin. They have the most incredible friendship that no one can even imagine experiencing. They have taken themselves from shy band kids in high school, to YouTube stars. Their message has changed so many people’s lives and influenced them in such great ways, even if they don’t acknowledge it. People have even been in such great sadness and despair and have come out of those deep holes because of these two boys. The way a person can work hard every single day just to accomplish one goal after another can change so many people’s views on life. I feel like this is because when people see someone do something they believe is impossible, it changes their mind set and make them believe they can achieve that goal themselves. Sam and Colby have been such great role models to the whole world!

Another topic that I want to bring up about them is the videos they posted a year ago about each other. They posted these videos specifically for each other! (If you haven’t seen these videos then they will be below this topic rant. Spoilers for the videos if you haven’t seen them yet) They bring up topics that happened in their past that us, the fans, don’t understand, but they do. I think this is incredible because they will gladly talk about stories on the internet that they will always remember regardless of the fan’s knowledge of the topic. They posted these videos so when they get older, they can look back on those videos and remember the good times they had together and the memories that they will never forget. The memories that they don’t share with the fans. The memories that happened way before fame. The memories that made them who they are today. All the way from the bonding moment that started it all over a drum major, to destroying the world. I personally believe that this is just a small understanding that they give to us to understand exactly how strong their friendship is. In Colby and Sam’s video, they even call each other brothers. The emotional state of the videos take a huge factor in Colby’s. He talks about how he struggled with sadness, and talks about how he kept slipping back into a dark whole during the time they were just starting to be friends. He also talks about how Sam helped him every time he slipped back under to rise up and focus on the happiness and the light of life. I believe this is a true statement of just how powerful their relationship is.
