Honestly, were everything unbanned and unlimited, I think Exodia would be meta for about a week, then the meta would shift to a combination of Ishizu Tear, Ryzeal, Maliss, and MAYBE Tenpai or some flavor of Dragon Link. Perhaps some Kashtira as a somewhat anti-meta pick, and Dragon Rulers when the new support hits state-side assuming it doesn't immediately become part of Dragon Link.
As for what would slow the game down "to the way it used to be" - that would be banning... literally every card made from Cybernetic Revolution onward alongside the current banlist hits to cards from the GOAT era. This is, of course, ignoring that "how Yugioh used to be" for 90% of people that complain that the game is too fast nowadays is playing the card game on the playground as a child with next to no understanding of how the cards actually work and trying to emulate Duelist Kingdom and Battle City specifically.
Question for anyone who is in the modern, meta scene of Yu-Gi-Oh;
If all the currently banned/limited cards were suddenly unbanned and unlimited, what would the gaming scene look like?
Given how fast paced it is these days, I'm curious about this.
Also, if doing this wouldn't slow things down to the way the game used to be, what would need to happen to do that?

One of the things that sucks about being an animation nerd is having to live with the fact that, from a technical standpoint, the Hotel Transylvania movies are absolutely ground-breakingly staggeringly incredible.

As much as I'd love to agree that Veilguard's writing is EA's fault, this IS Bioware (specifically post-2017 Bioware) we're talking about.
Besides, Anthem stands as a prime example that EA isn't always the source of the problem.
I think it's very funny that a lot of the writing choices in Veilguard can be boiled down to, "We desperately fear causing the kind of discourse our previous games have." As if they could prevent that. As if finding things to argue over and get offended by isn't the internet favorite pastime. And don't get me wrong, that may nit have been the actual writers' choice at all, like that actively could have been EA interference and I would believe it. I just genuinely think it is funny that they clearly wanted to avoid it and it is happening regardless.

"final fantasy didn't do the fight god plotline until X onward"
That is some revisionist bullshit, lemme tell ya'.
Even putting aside the fact that nearly every main villain in Final Fantasy pre-X had acquiring godlike power of some description as either their main ambition or as the means to then achieve their main ambition (the only exceptions being Garland who still ended up commandeering a time loop scenario for an untold amount of time and Emperor Mateus who merely wanted to conquer the world and, after the heroes killed him, got to add literal Heaven and Hell to his command), there is still one pre-X Final Fantasy game that is explicitly "fight and dethrone God" in plotline.
That being VI.
Y'know. The game where the main villain quite literally ascended to godhood halfway through the story and started murdering everything for kicks?
Both gaining and losing hope that Metaphor Refantazio will say something new/interesting about religion.
So far the official state religion, Sanctism, is the typical only-opinion-allowed-at-Atlus take on organized religion, where it's all the worst elements throughout history crammed together and that's the end of it. They even went as far as to make the prayer gesture covering one's eyes with both hands-gee, I wonder if that symbolizes blind faith? So far, so formulaic, right? Well, yes...but also not entirely. See, I randomly decided to do the activity that raises your Tolerance stat(it's just like persona where you have 5 characteristic stats, only they're called kingly virtues instead), and the NPC offering it was of a tribe that has it's own religion. It started off typical enough, with a description of how the Sanctist church denounced them as pagans, but then something interesting happened. The NPC stated that his tribe's faith was exclusive to them, while Sanctism could be followed by members of every tribe which was, in his words, "a problem". A religion being mutli-ethnic is... a problem? And then it hit me-I'm increasing my Tolerance stat. Tolerance-as in, tolerating other viewpoints that you don't immediately agree with. I'd expected just a simple overview of the tribe's culture followed by more lines about how awful all this discrimination is and wouldn't it be nice if that wasn't happening, but no, Atlus actually went the extra mile and made the dialogue fit.
I'm sure if I keep going with this guy I'll get to the inevitable "there are no right/easy answers" conclusion, but getting there by showing a viewpoint that your average joe would normally be adverse to both humanizes this nameless NPC(yes, I know that "human" means something else in Metaphor, I just can't think of a better term) by assigning him a somewhat intolerant viewpoint while simultaneously not denouncing him for it, because all tolerance has to start somewhere and in this world it's pretty much gotta start from absolute zero: with everyone hating everyone else, someone has to be the first to break the cycle and say "ok, you may be judging me by my tribe and faith, but I'm not going to judge you for the same things because that's always the wrong thing to do even if I've been a victim of it in the past". I'm still wary about this whole idea of the Elda tribe being condemned directly by Sanctist scripture(it really seems like there's no point to it beyond Atlus grinding its eternal axe against religion), but I'm not even past the first dungeon yet and we've already gotten deeper into morality and religion than almost any other Atlus game I can think of.

From what I've seen, it's more "Fans of extremely edgy shock humor visual novel ship a pair of girls together despite the noted problems the relationship would have even in-universe to the point of pissing off the dev who then writes the worst possible ending for both characters out of spite for aforementioned shippers."
But this is with me refusing to go near that bullshit with a 20m pole, so I admit it could be inaccurate.
So Kob, any thoughts on the Class of 09 deal?
What happened?

You can say DarkSydePhil.
Sure, Arin Hanson qualifies too, but DSP stumbled so he could fumble.

I read that capsaicin makes your mouth feel like it's burning because it increases your nerve sensitivity to heat, and menthol works by doing the same thing to cold
So if I eat a habanero pepper and then chew a bunch of breath mints they'll each other out and I'll be fine
