Okay, yeah, I discovered the remake of this AU a week ago, and yeah, I made a full drawing of it in maybe 2 to 3 days. SUE ME The artist grind is coming back in full force and I'm holding onto that till it passes for another year. Also, I'm having a crisis on how i want to shade and outline shit so im probably going to be switching from no outlines, to this kind of 'uneven'(idk if I can call it that), or fully done line art. So don't expect consistency too often.

I posted this last night but This is lowkey probably going to be the only picture im posting in the discord. (I GET NERVOUS) I've been seeing this stupid screen cap of mickey on my Pinterest FYP for nearly a month and I felt like now was the right time to draw over it But ngl what some people said had me giggling. Need to tell you all about this absolutely amazing ace attorney dream i had where i explored the inner depths of each main character through Maya Fey

So ok it started weirdly bc all dreams are weird slideshows mashed together right, But it was like a psychonauts-single-pale-rose-esque adventure.

At the beginning maya gets a weird cryptic phrase thrown at her

“The heart is in the chest”

And shes like “Yeah no shit ‘your heart is in your chest’ what does that even mean???”

So shenanigans ensue and she goes into phoenix’s mind.

In his mind we see its a more cleaned up version of the borscht bowl where beanix him is playing the piano smoothly. Boss Phoenix works at a desk a few meters away from him and maya walks up to him

They chat for a little bit before she asks to go “downstairs” or backstage idk its a dream and they kept switching but anyways. Bossnix and Beanix exchange kinda nervous looks before trying to convince her to stay out but Maya presses on and they are like “Okay. But we warned you!”

She goes backstage/downstairs and is immediately accosted by Feenie who is bleeding from the mouth wearing the poisoned necklace. He’s emotional and crying and greeting maya and another phoenix emerges and scolds him for being so open and embarrassing. Its a phoenix with a hospital gown? or the hazakura robes idk with the “Chooses Death” note on his face like a ghost. He’s mean and snappy while Feenie tries to get him to let maya through. Deathnix refuses but feenie sneaks maya through the mind palace anyways before getting lost

They then get chased by something? again the dream skips around some and we end up at the edge of the mind palace where a cliff overlooks nothing but inky-blackness and a giant Dahlia emerges from the goop. I think Kristoph is also something scary? anyways the giant dahlia makes feenie cry in fear as deathnix runs over and cusses them out for waking her up, saying something like “WE BURIED THIS FOR A REASON!”

Anyways maya ends up in the crossfire and she falls into the inky goop and both mind-phoenixes call out and try and reach her before she hits the goop and “drowns”

as she sinks down, drowning(?) a teeny tiny hand follows her down and pulls her into a tiny room that is SURROUNDED by the goop. Its bright and colorful and childish and cheerful and full of kids drawings. She looks down at her savior and sees Tiny kid phoenix. I’ll call him nick. Nick is saying stuff like “Hi! I saved you! :]”

dream skips around and maya is like “Where are we? Are we beneath the repression ocean or something?” and nick is like “Yeah i dont know how to get out. I can’t swim :/ never became a swimmer or anything. so i’m just kinda stuck down here. But i have my crayons and my papers! so i’m okay.”

and Maya looks around at all the drawings hung up on the walls and sees crude drawings of phoenix being a lawyer, with his family, with his friends, drawings of just his friends and family and maya is having a little giggle at a drawing of herself (as nick tells her who and what hes drawn) she spots a lil toy treasure chest that’s locked.

She asks and nick is like “Hm? oh thats nothing. I dont think about that stuff anymore.”

She unlocks it and its several drawings of himself. Drawings of him being an actor, an artist, a superhero, etc. And then my mind like flashed back to the cryptic phrase “The heart is in the chest”

THATS WHERE THE DREAM ENDED LIKE HOW RAW IS THAT????
