Thanks for asking! This name along with other epithets in the Strawhats was given right after Enies Lobby. On Enies Lobby, Rira used her powers in front of marines for the first time, “manipulating them like a puppeteer”. She was very excited about receiving this name!!

The Polar Tang’s atmosphere drew forth a feeling of class, and safety. The thick steel walls held its crew together, and the sea out. The traverse to Wano, although a bit troublesome, was more often than not, calming.

Actually, that brings us to our brunette, Suchuwato Rira. She quickly took note of the submersible’s floor plan, in her mind, assuming it a second home. Her favorite location? Either her guest room with Robin and Usopp… or by the window. Rira adored the windows.

She stood on tip toes, palms and nose pressed up against the glass, watching the fish swim by. There was an orange school of tiny fish that made her squeal out in joy. Ikkaku walked by her as she carried a basket of laundry to the washing room, giving her a look of exasperation before continuing on. The next sea animal the counselor noticed was a stingray of some kind, and it flattened itself against the circular window, startling Rira and causing her to jump back, butt hitting the floor.

“You scared?”

A baritone voice slid through the hall smoothly, as Trafalgar Law’s tended to do. Rira was even more startled, but slowed her breathing, assuring herself that it was simply the Surgeon of Death. She stood up, massaging the muscles in her rear.

“The stingray came out of nowhere, that’s all… hit my ass though.”

The doctor looked through the window, and the ray had swam on.

“What’re you staring at the window for anyway, Rira-ya?”

The corners of the counselor’s lips quirked up into a satisfied smile, commencing a celebration in her mind at the fact that another time she could talk to Law was brewing.

“I like the sea animals, Traffy.”

She assumed the nickname Luffy gave him while ending her thought with a bubbly giggle, Rira fashion. She looked back out at the window, and it seemed a bit different. The ocean seemed a bit bluer, and animals started appearing more frequently. Her eyes were locked onto another school of fish passing by, hand mindlessly wandering to Law’s and hooking her pinky onto his. He didn’t particularly care, but he did look down at her for a moment, then looked back at the window. Fish danced and swirled in the sea, the colors almost blinding.

“I like the sea animals with you, Traffy.”

She uttered in a soft tone, eyes not able to tear from the ocean view. His smooth voice came out a bit softer, yet audible.

“I like them too.”

Rira builds a really big habit of swearing after joining the crew. Simply because there’s no Chiyo to watch out for. She cusses like a sailor.

-Nami is the one to take control most of the time, and Rira goes along with it. However, Rira steps in to save Nami much more often.

-The two are very close. They’ve known each other a very long time.

-Nami is the first to confess. After she does, Rira just stands there in shock for what feels like a good five minutes.

-They wash each other’s hair.

-Healthy and happy yuri 😁
