Yeah unfortunately, specifically on the epic the musical AO3 page. It's getting better thankfully, there is less and less but like a for a while, it was the majority of laertes content that I could find. (OK, a little bit of a vent but tell me why when I point out how much of this there is on places like the epic ao3,people genuinely seem suprised like it makes me wonder if there actually is that much or if the ones that are there just have me fixating on them cus of how much they piss me off.)

Bruh same plus during my year 7 transition day (don't know if they do this in America but in the UK, near the end of the school year you spend one day in your classes that you have next year) ,because in year 7 we would be covering Greek theatre in English, the teacher gave out these Greek mythology books that meant I would spend the next 6 years so far fixating on Greek mythology.

What's hilarious is that she's not just odysseus's mama. She's the entire achean army's mama. Like in book 3 or 4 I believe, when someone shoots at menelaus,she flicks the arrow "like a mother flicking a fly off her sleeping baby"(or something like that) so rather that hitting him in the essential organs, it hits him in the thigh saving his life. Or earlier during the games when apollo attempts to sabotage diomedes' chariot race by making him drop the whip, she hands it back.

I have a theory that this was purposefull like homer intentially makes her motherly to suggests that's how much she cares for soldiers on the side she favours, like she's their mother. They are her little guys
