The muse finally made a post for us plebs that don't pay him $50/month. Got a few quotes for my collection of the guy's prose, including this ole gem:
6am. I haven’t slept. I think I’m still drunk. Am I still drunk? The lack of a hangover in the wake of the sheer alcohol volume ingested, implies I’m definitely still drunk.
Loves to start a first person pov scene with 1) I think XXXX, then 2) Is it really XXXX? followed by 3) incongruously wordy observation supporting XXXX.
Then he revealed more about our pov character, his younger self. But to set up more of the scene, he went with
There was a a kind of mall, not mall, but kind of a mini mall thing,
And it's funny/interesting to see how his blogging style is so shaped by drafting screenplays - esp when I also use [insert phrase here] as shorthand in my drafts.
#this blog post was about trying 'every' tortilla in spain#my first thought was no you didn't#second thought was that he would def take that kind of challenge to heart#and start a quest to actually literally try every tortilla in spain to prove the haters (me) wrong#a weird and intense guy#i am endlessly fascinated#johna reviews the muse

Apparently portraiture is a weekend activity. Worked on it during dnd.

Knew that I wanted to teach my brain how to work on pieces that take several drawing sessions to finish. Off the top of my head, couldn't think of anything that is feel like drawing for hours. Then I remembered my muse lol. Gonna log my process here.

Been wanting to draw my comfort characters but am so uncomfortable with anime style. Solution: tipsy charcoal doodles while I'm on my sailor moon re-read.

Looking back at my art progress this year, specifically what I've done during my lessons.
A drawing from my first lesson back in April vs a drawing from my last lesson in December

My favorite one I've done in my own time was definitely this guy

Pretty cool to have practiced enough to see development

Today I learned that early anime face proportions were inspired by cat faces and now so many things make more sense
