Bring Your Child to Work Day (CEO Single dad!Joshua + Baby!Seungkwan&Chan)
A/N: YES BECAUSE I LIKE TO TALK I MUST SAY SOMETHING. this bulleted list fic is dedicated to @jaeology because she movtivated me to write again after my a year+ writers block. but also because she always sends me things that makes my uwu explode everywhere, so this is my return. hope you enjoy :)
but also I need to explain, this is like a bonus, spin-off, extra kinda thing from my other fic. the same au applies, joshua is a CEO of a big company and he’s also a single dad of two kids, seungkwan and chan. Seungkwan is 4, and Chan is 3. the other svt members in this fic are joshua’s colleagues in the same company
oh boy
it’s that time of the year again
bring your child to work day.
it’s not that joshua doesn’t like have his babies around but
they are
SO
chaotic.
if it’s them alone, it’s easier to handle
but when there’s two of them
ohhhhhhhh no
also
no one in joshua’s job actually brings their kids to work on these days
probably because they don’t have any
oh.
last year when seungkwan asked if he can go to work with joshua, he denied and used an excuse that chan was too little
but let’s admit it chan was VERY little
but seungkwan hasn’t given up his hope yet
“daaaaad can we go to work with you tomorrow? it’s take your child to work day”
blink blink
+ squishy gummy smile
and now chan somehow caught on to this as well
“pleeeeease dad I promise I’ll hold seungkwan back”
“hEY what do you mean you’ll hold me back”
“see you just yelled”
chan and seungkwan never physically fights
because everytime seungkwan is upset he just pouts
and he sits there waiting for someone (joshua) to comfort him
“guys if you’re gonna do this at my work tomorrow, of course I’m not gonna take you”
now seungkwan is pouting even more
chan scooted closer to his brother
“i’m sorry kwannie”
and he hugged him
well that’s a first in joshua’s world
and seungkwan actually seemed a little happier
joshua sighed, “let me think about it okay”
which translates too, “PLEASE forget about this”
but nOPE
these boys are not giving up
after joshua’s tucked the boys to bed he was going back to his room, ready to sleep
right as he’s about to turn off the lights the boys busts into his room and holds on to joshua’s legs
chan: dad are you done thinking?
seungkwan: can we go? can we go?
right now joshua has two options
taking them tomorrow
or
taking them tomorrow.
because these two will not give up till they get the answer they want
and especially if chan pulls out his ultimate weapon of,,,,,,, puppy eyes and pouting
oh man
it will be like

[chan and seungkwan: 1]
“alright you two”
joshua bends down to pick up one of them in each arm
this is literally all the workout joshua has gotten for the past years besides running after them
he places them down on his bed, and sits in front of them
“if you guys wanna go to work with me, you have to follow these rules”
the boys nodded
“and if you follow all of these rules without breaking them once tomorrow, there will be bonus ice cream”
seungkwan’s eyes literally lights up at the words “ice cream”
“BUT—“
chan starts with his tiny giggles
then seungkwan starts giggling too
joshua is basically this emoji :] now
alright now both of them are laughing uncontrollably on their backs
“—if you break any of those rules, ice cream is gone.”
when they hear no ice cream they are both back up again
“got it?”
both boys nodded again
then for 30 mins joshua listed out all the things the boys can and cannot do
mostly it’s: don’t distract people while they are working, no yelling or screaming (aka no singing @ seungkwan), no running around, and be nice
after joshua has finished his listing, both seungkwan and chan have fell asleep by his side
not wanting to wake them up, he didn’t bring them back to their room and just turned off his lamp
right before he went to sleep joshua thought, these two better have listened to what I said smh
when morning comes around
oh my lord.
seungkwan and chan are more excited than ever
they didn’t even wake up by alarm
instead they became the alarm for joshua
“daaaaad it’s 6 let’s gooooo”
“daaaaad turn seungkwan offfffff”
“daaaaad chan is being meannnn”
“guyyyyys let me sleep for 5 more minutes”
suddenly there were peace and quiet around joshua for like 2 seconds
and then
“daaaaad it’s been 5 minutes”
“kwannie stop lying it’s been like a minute”
“but dad it’s 6:05”
joshua opened his eyes and looked at his clock
[6:05]
joshua thinking: why did I raise you guys this way
joshua started his weekday norms again
by the time when they are all ready it was 7:05
which is about 20 mins earlier than when they normally leave
and seungkwan and chan are ready to dash out the door
like seriously, they are sitting in front of the door
joshua thought this will for sure be a long day so he left early with the boys to get some coffee
for him and for his colleagues of course
this is their reward for having to deal with these chaotic duo for a day
oh of course,, chan and seungkwan got milkshakes too
in the car joshua, went on his rule talk again
“alright guys when you get into the building what do you have to say?”
unison: “good morning”
“what CANT you do in the building?”
“seungkwan can’t sing”
“chan can’t be mean”
“seungkwan can’t bother people”
“chan can’t run and jump”
“no you both can’t do any of those things okay?”
unison: “got itttttt”
honestly after that talk chan highkey regrets agreeing with seungkwan to do this
but at least he got a milkshake so it’s 25% better
as they entered the building both seungkwan and chan were each holding a tray of coffee for joshua’s colleagues
well joshua is holding a tray too so this is no child labor
and oh man
before seungkwan and chan can do their greetings everyone in the office was bursting in awe seeing them
some of them haven’t met the boys at all or just haven’t seen them in a while
joshua: alright boys what do you say?
“good morning!”
joshua: and introduce yourself
“i’m seungkwan and i’m 4” gummy smiles
“i’m chan and i’m 3” toothy grin
and once again the office explodes at how cute seungkwan and chan spoke
but ceo!joshua gotta get everyone on task because this is real business™️
while they are working seungkwan and chan went around each desk and hand out coffees
after they are done joshua told them to sit in the break room where they could watch tv and eat some snacks
once in a while there are different workers coming into the break room and said hi to seungkwan and chan
but after an hour or so later these kids are bored
so they are walking around the office
side by side
they are like on an adventure
but it’s an office
as they walked to each desk they saw what they were doing and then walked away
because strict dad!joshua said no distracting
but they didn’t know their adorableness has been the biggest distraction all day
also they don’t understand a thing that’s on the computers
when they got to mingyu’s desk, mingyu pulled out one of his drawers
inside there was a stash of snacks
seungkwan and chan’s eyes lit up and was about to squeal
but they stopped themselves
so they are just wide eyed at the snacks
mingyu took out a couple of snacks and handed to the boys
“shh don’t tell your dad alright? these are my gift to you guys”
the boys nodded and whispered a thank you and continued on to their adventure
when they stopped at jeonghan’s desk, he was teasing chan A LOT
“hey chan do you like me?”
“yeah”
“do you think i’m nice?”
“yeah”
“then you should be my child, your dad has seungkwan already”
“bu-but”
“Chan you’re whose child now?”
blank stare
“say uncle jeonghan”
“uncle jeonghan”
“good job, now whenever I ask you that question you know how to answer it right?”
nods
seungkwan is on the side trying to fight his giggles
smh seungkwan stop laughing you just sold your brother and your dad doesn’t even know about it
later,, lunch break kicks in
joshua suggests they should all go out for lunch since he can tell seungkwan and chan are about to get so fed up lapping around the office for like the 50th time today
when they got to the restaurant seungkwan and chan are sitting on either sides of joshua
next to chan was jeonghan
and next to seungkwan was vernon
vernon is their favorite uncle because he only comes to visit around the holidays
and he brings LOTS of presents
also he’s just fun to hang around with
vernon: boys do you not remember me?
sad face
seungkwan literally squints and shoves his face into vernon
joshua: kwannie, personal space
both chan and seungkwan just stares at vernon’s face for far too long to be comfortable
seungkwan: oH UNCLE VERNON
chan: UNCLE BURNER
this dates back to long time ago when chan first learned how to talk but he can’t pronounce vernon’s name so he called him “burner” and it’s been stuck like this
now everyone is laughing at vernon but he doesn’t mind because yes his two favorite children remembers him wipes away tears
evil jeonghan just wanted to see how joshua would react when he says this
so he goes
DINO NUGU AEGI
“hey chan you’re whose child now?”
chan: uncle jeonghan !!
joshua is so offended please hold him down
joshua: channie, dad or uncle jeonghan?
literally immediately after joshua finishes his sentence,,,,
chan: DAD!!
joshua is basically looking at jeonghan like “bish you see, he’s still my child”
after lunch seungkwan and chan went into the break room to watch tv again
and for couple of hours they didn’t explore the office again
joshua thought they were just bored from walking around the whole time so they are probably having more fun in the break room
at 5pm when work was over, joshua walks into the break room to pick the boys
and he sees seungkwan and chan sleeping on top of each other on the couch
cues fatherly smile
when he walked over to pick his boys up, chan mutters something in his dad’s ear
“dad, ice cream”
joshua thinking: damn it I thought you guys would forget it already

Child!SVT
bc i love kids and i love svt so why not combine both
I had exams today also and I’ll start back on ask tomorrow.
so here they’re all like 5
except Chan, he’s 4 (bc he’s the real baby)
so basically you’re their babysitter
how you got the job?
you set up a sign in the lobby of your apartment saying you could babysit any of the resident’s children on days you didn’t have school or when you weren’t at school
and families started pouring in bc of two things
one: your salary was cheap
two: you were closer to people’s home so more convenient.
that’s how you became the regular babysitter of 13 rambunctious boys
tbh lil Chan is probably really attached to you and follows you everywhere and he’s one of the boys that always follow what you say
tiny Chan asking you to carry him and bc he’s so cute you just gotta
also you notice tiny wonwoo curiously looking through your stack of books and he has a lil pout bc there’s no picture books
so the next day you buy a bunch of children’s book and when wonwoo gets dropped off, he sees them and he literally lights up and takes like 5 books and is scrolling through them with a smile
Wonwoo reading to the rest of the boys and you help him with words he doesn’t know
having to hide snacks bc one time mingyu had found your snack drawer and boyyy it was not pretty
mingyu likes to watch you cook, so he drags a little chair next to you and stands and gets so excited when you make ramen or something
Seungcheol being that one kid bragging that he’s gonna turn 6 soon
he probably drags Jihoon around too so they can play together
but jihoon is more focused on his drawing of what looks like a dragon? maybe?
also jihoon is the kid that gets really possessive of his stuff like
“that’s mine!!! don’t touch!!”
Joshua’s the really sweet child that always listens to you
and whenever the other kids are doing something they shouldn’t be
*cough* mingyu searching for snacks *cough*
Joshua’s like “um y/n said we shouldn’t do that”
Soonyoung wildly dancing when the kids tv shows theme song plays.
And by wildly dancing its just him jumping up and down screaming the lyrics with his arms moving everywhere
Seungkwan and Seokmin running around together and giggling wildly bc of who knows what
I bet seungkwan cried the first time he was dropped off bc he didn’t want to leave his parents
Jeonghan playing with the doll toys you got
Jeonghan playing house with Chan and Chan being put as the kid and jeonghan has the parent
Seungcheol joining in bc no one else will play with him
Hansol being that kid that knows all the weird dances
Like he dabs at the most random times
Hansol: *dabs while he sneezes*
The other kids catch onto this so now you have all of them dabbing for no reason

Seokmin probably draws you pictures of like the sun and flowers and its the most precious thing ever
Really quiet Minghao reading with wonwoo
And like I bet one of the books is about different languages and Minghao is pointing out the Chinese words to Wonwoo
Jun has probably stated that he wants to marry you
probably asks you a bunch of question on what you’re doing and why you have stuff
accidentally found your pads/tampons and you’re just like JUN NO
When someone cries, EVERYONE is there to cheer them up
out of all of them you probably see Chan most because he isn’t in school yet so he gets dropped off a lot
One time you were asked to pick up jihoon from school so you brought lil Chan with you and he called it an ‘'adventure”
When you picked up Jihoon you ran into a bunch of the other parents and kids
Seungcheol cried bc he wants to walk with jihoon, you, and Chan home
and then suddenly the whole crying frenzie begins bc now all the kids wanna walk home with you
One time Seokmin knocked on your door and you’re like “what are you doing all by yourself”
“I’m lost”
Them fighting for your attention and screaming your name bc “LOOK LOOK AT THE PICTURE I DREW.”
Seokmin and Seungkwan “do you have a boyfriend. Are you married.”
Basically children svt are really cute and still dorky and a little too into your personal space but their chubby cheeks and flower pictures make up for it
