Say what you want about the 2023 Shakespeare in The Park production of Hamlet, but the choices made in that play WORKED. Having Hamlet wear a black hoodie and camo pants and him dramatically putting his hood up when he was pissed off was inspired. Having Horatio video tape Claudius on an iPhone camera from the side of the stage during the play within the play was hilarious. Having the play within the play be a hip hop dance number that represented the murder!?! Fantastic. Having Ophelia be a singer before she went mad and having a beautiful voice that everyone loved to listen to and then seeing her singing get worse and worse as she got nearer to death?!?! Hamlet pulling out his iphone after killing Polonius to show his mom a picture of his dad compared to a picture of Claudius and angrily swiping back and forth between the two as he said “What judgement would step from this… to this?” The crowd fucking lost it every time. Horatio singing to Hamlet as he died made me fully sob every time. The way they did the ghost on stage was so chilling and I can’t even accurately describe it, you just had to be there. Hamlet being deeply exasperated the entire time was just perfect. Hamlet and Horatio had a secret handshake. Laertes inexplicably carried an acoustic guitar case for much of the play which was very funny but also hit you with the heartbreaking implication that he had used to play while Ophelia sang and he stopped carrying it after she died. It was peak teenage-angst-hamlet and it was so dear to me. PLEASE if anyone has a recording, send it to me.

yall have got to be more normal about Southern people and I'm not kidding. enough of the Sweet Home Alabama incest jokes, enough of the idea that all Southerners are bigots and rednecks, and enough of the idea that the South has bad food. shut up about "trailer trash" and our accents and our hobbies!
do yall know how fucking nauseating it is to hear people only bring up my state to make jokes about people in poverty and incestuous relationships? how much shame I feel that I wasn't born up north like the Good Queers and Good Leftists with all the Civilised Folk with actual houses instead of small cramped trailers that have paper thin walls that I know won't protect me in a bad enough storm?
do yall know how frustrating it is to be trans in a place that wants to kill you and whenever you bring it up to people they say "well just move out" instead of sympathizing with you or offering help?
do yall understand how alienating it is to see huge masterposts of queer and mental health resources but none of them are in your state because theyre all up north? and nobody seems to want to fix this glaring issue because "they're all hicks anyways"
Southern people deserve better. we deserve to be taken seriously and given a voice in the queer community and the mental health space and leftist talks in general.

So I found Aaron Bushnell's reddit and went through his comments/posts. That young man was well read and stable as they can be. Nothing in his writings pointed to someone who was "unstable" or "brainwashed".
He held leftist and anarchist ideals. He belong to the ACAB subreddit. He recognized the evil of the US Military even though he himself was a part of it. He hated TERFS and called out fatphobia. He understood the dangers of white supremecy and the evils of capitalism.
He had a cat. He liked the show fleabag and played elden ring.
Apparently in his will he wants to leave any money in his name to palestinian relief funds. He was trying to find a new owner for his cat.
Rest in peace Aaron Bushnell. The world won't forget & we sure as fuck won't let the media paint you out to be some crazy conspiracy theorist who had no idea what he was doing.

"I’m personally a Holocaust survivor as an infant, I barely survived.
My grandparents were killed in Aushwitz and most of my extended family were killed.
I became a Zionist; this dream of the Jewish people resurrected in their historical homeland and the barbed wire of Aushwitz being replaced by the boundaries of a Jewish state with a powerful army…and then I found out that it wasn’t exactly like that, that in order to make this Jewish dream a reality we had to visit a nightmare on the local population.
There’s no way you could have ever created a Jewish state without oppressing and expelling the local population. Jewish Israeli historians have shown without a doubt that the expulsion of Palestinians was persistent, pervasive, cruel, murderous and with deliberate intent - that’s what’s called the 'Nakba' in Arabic; the 'disaster' or the 'catastrophe'.
There’s a law that you cannot deny the Holocaust, but in Israel you’re not allowed to mention the Nakba, even though it’s at the very basis of the foundation of Israel.
I visited the Occupied Territories (West Bank) during the first intifada. I cried every day for two weeks at what I saw; the brutality of the occupation, the petty harassment, the murderousness of it, the cutting down of Palestinian olive groves, the denial of water rights, the humiliations...and this went on, and now it’s much worse than it was then. It’s the longest ethnic cleansing operation in the 20th and 21st century.
I could land in Tel Aviv tomorrow and demand citizenship but my Palestinian friend in Vancouver, who was born in Jerusalem, can’t even visit! So then you have these miserable people packed into this, horrible…people call it an 'outdoor prison', which is what it is. You don’t have to support Hamas policies to stand up for Palestinian rights, that’s a complete falsity.
You think the worse thing you can say about Hamas, multiply it by a thousand times, and it still will not meet the Israeli repression and killing and dispossession of Palestinians.
And 'anybody who criticises Israel is an anti-Semite' is simply an egregious attempt to intimidate good non-Jews who are willing to stand up for what is true."

mspec lesbians, mspec gays, lesboys, turigirls, straightbians, straightcians and other mspec monos, as well as, afab transfems, amab transmasc and other "controversial" labels are valid as fuck!
y'all should understand that genderfluid, multigender, varioriented and intersex people exist and their experiences towards their sexuality/romantic orientation and their gender is unique and should be celebrated not hated.
if you don't understand any of these labels, educate yourself and please be kind to people. in the end of the day we are all human beings and we all deserve to be respected.
bye my dear humans :)

"This woman is chill and attractive and she shares a lot of interests with men. This means that not only is this wish fulfillment but also women like this don't actually exist in real life and if any real woman is behaving like this then she's just faking it."
I wish I could say I was making up this argument but I have actually seen it multiple times, as the unfortunate friends I complain to on discord can verify.

If any of you ever feel like what you're doing for Palestine isn't helping anything, I'll tell you right now it's helping me. I know it is fortifying all of us who have been in this fight for years to see so many people willing to speak up. It has never been like this before.
The tide has already turned. The fact that #free palestine will have new posts everyday, that helps me. It helps my mental health knowing that Palestinians are less alone now than ever.
Yesterday I read some verses from the Quran talking about how "the blame" is not with those who wish to help but cannot, but with those who CAN help and do not.
Truly I do not care if all you do for Palestine is post in that #free palestine everyday, that is still more than many people with the means to do even more would do.
We see you. We see you standing in solidarity with us and with Palestinians. We love you. Thank you.

To all my trans friends
To all my trans friends who are feeling hopeless... To all my trans friends who have been beaten, ridiculed, and forced back into the closet... To all my trans friends who have been told to 41% themselves... To all my trans friends who have grown popular and faced inevitable death threats, bomb threats, and harassment... To all my trans friends who don't pass and are frequently misgendered... To all my trans friends who DO pass and are frequently misgendered... To all my trans friends who are intersex, whose parents and doctors assigned them the wrong sex and tried to "fix" them... To all my trans friends who have been called "trans-trenders"... To all my trans friends who have been attacked by gatekeepers because they "aren't trans enough", or "are making a mockery of real issues"... To all my trans friends who don't have the resources or support to transition... To all my trans friends who have been legislated away by their home states or countries... To all my trans friends who have been told your gender doesn't exist and is entirely delusion... To all my trans friends whose families and communities have disowned them... To all my trans friends who are often given dirty looks and snarky remarks... To all my trans friends who have been told they're not allowed in their rightful space... To all my trans friends who have been filmed and photographed without their consent... To all my trans friends who have been used as a tool to spread right-wing lies... To all my trans friends who have been denied life-saving medical treatment... To all my trans friends who feel ashamed, unsafe, and isolated in their own community... To all my trans friends who are living relatively comfortably but who often hear about the suffering of other trans friends... To all my trans friends who have been impacted by the harm done to or death of another trans friend... To all my trans friends who have cis friends or family who just don't understand... To all my trans friends whose struggle is so bad, it makes them feel physically ill... To all my trans friends who feel unwanted, who are sick of life and want to escape it all... To all my trans friends who have been denied their dreams... To all my trans friends whose feelings are hard to put into words... To all my trans friends who feel a cold, heavy weight in their heart... To all my trans friends everywhere around the world... You are not alone. Keep speaking your voice; someone, somewhere, will hear you. Keep fighting for your rights, and I will be right there fighting by your side. I would give my own life if it meant all of you could live safely and happily. It's not that easy, though, so I will keep living to shine as a beacon of hope. Our right to exist peacefully is backed by history, scientific and academic consensus, the ever-changing field of culture and linguistics, by our self-evident rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, and by God's love for all humans equally. According to every philosophy they try to weaponize against us, we are correct. We are on the side of truth, no matter how many hypocrites call us delusional or selfish. Love wins. Love always wins. Love is the fundamental value of the transgender journey; loving yourself, loving your community, and loving everything that is dear to you drives you to listen to your heart and achieve your true self. And I love you for that, so much. You are much braver, stronger, and more beautiful than you realize. You've been through so much, fought so hard, and I'm so proud of you. Keep being you, always.

nobody warns you this but addiction happens without you noticing and one of the first things that it attacks is your ability to care. if you find yourself using recreational drugs every day, stop and take one day a week sober. if you struggle with this or if you don't see the point of the exercise, you are likely already addicted and you need help.

so the house of representatives just passed a bill that will now move to the senate to BAN tik tok completely in the united states and they are expected to argue that “national security risks” outweigh the freedom of speech and first amendment rights. biden has already said that if it gets to him, he will sign it. whether or not you use the app…….this is something to be worried about
