Background:

Veritas Castella was born on Ferron Sable, a forge world battered by centuries of conflict. Raised amidst the echoes of hammer strikes and the ever-present buzz of factory machines, she learned to both forge weapons and fight with them. Ferron Sable had become a wasteland after a massive Ork invasion, and the remnants of its people lived a life on the edge of survival, forever on guard against marauding enemies. Veritas’s parents, both skilled weaponsmiths, were killed in one of the Ork raids, leaving Veritas an orphan.

She joined a local militia and soon became renowned for her skills in combat, particularly her expertise with ranged weapons. Her faith in the Emperor remained unshakable, and when the Order of the Ebon Chalice arrived on Ferron Sable, it didn’t take long for them to recognize her potential. They brought her into the fold of the Adepta Sororitas, and she began her training as a Sister of Battle.
