Some got fancy celebrations on Sunday. We got a quick lunch date between our morning church service and a funeral service 😲. We also got a mini picnic in bed of desert + coffee [see a couple of posts back]. For some this would've been less than an ideal Vday celebration but our love is such a gift from God that every week feels like Valentine's. I share this to say that life takes turns & it will not always be ideal but you must focus on what's important: YOUR LOVE for each. Before I met my husband I was fully satisfied in Christ and today as a married woman that will not change, my ALL IN all is still my Heavenly Father. #vscocam (at Carolina, Puerto Rico)

Can I be honest? This past year that I waived goodbye yesterday was one of 2 worst years in my entire life. I began with optimism, went through it with grace and almost crawled my way into the holidays. In September came an unexpected diagnosis for endometriosis, got an operation, than came recuperation and lifestyle change. Pain can slowly destroy your mind and your optimism. I found myself in dark places this past year but NEVER was I alone. EVERY step of the way I felt the strong hand of my Heavenly Father holding me. You can see a short photo recap of yesterday's celebration on my Facebook page. You will notice acne scars and other body imperfections that remind me not of my disease but on the contrary that I'm ALIVE and getting better. Those who feel no pain, that no longer deal with scars and imperfections are those who are now dead. I am not dead, thankfully God has granted me another year so excuse me if I keep celebrating the whole month. ANY UN PERFECTLY AWESOME SURVIVORS OUT THERE? (at Double Cake)
