"Why do I have to hide that from daddy?"
"He knows how much you love shopping."
"I'd think he'd be used to it by now."
“You are going to need it since we are going to go shopping”

"Of course, Granny, everything's fine..."
Renesmee pursed her lips, not quite sure from to phrase the question without giving too much, or seeming too eager.
"How do you know when you like someone?"
Esme looked at her grandaughter with concern, hoping everything was alright. Whenever she did have problems, Renesmee always came to her.
— ❝Of course, dear. Is everything ok?❞

Renesmee was no stranger to the concept of fun-- if anything, she was often exposed to it too often. What fun was to Renesmee was the problem. Having been surrounded by only the most sophisticated, old school people (with an exception to her mother, of course), it was a common misconception on Renesmee's part as to what other human children became enthusiastic about. Renesmee found fun in supernatural things, such as hunting, running with the wolves, and reading Jane Austen novels. It appeared to Renesmee that this was not what other children thought of when they contemplated the meaning of happiness.
Of course, Renesmee had people in her life to balance her out, as well as draw the line between her fun and human fun. For example, the La Push wolves, or, to be more specific, Seth and Jacob. Even though they both hunted with her on occasion, they did more than enough to help to make sure she was given just as much human enjoyment as vampire fun. When possible, she went on the rez to play on the beach, when no other children were present, she was allowed to visit the park, and at home, they did simple things, like playing video games, and, in this case, jigsaw puzzles.
"Jigsaw puzzles--"
"Care to join us?"

❝ —————— No food, huh ? ❞
❝Well, it’s a good thing Mrs. Cullen went shopping then ! ❞ ❝ … Am I right ? ❞ ❝ ——- Say.❞ ❝What kind of puzzle are you two doing, anyhow ?❞
The happiest period in life—most frequently—is in middle age, when the eager and more abundant ’ passions ‘ of youth are cooled, and the infirmities of age not yet begun. Harry Clearwater had said that, with progression, we see that the shadows, which are at morning and evening so large, almost entirely disappear at midday. It was said that youth is valued at a much higher ambit, higher than its substantiated worth only because it is so brief and so hard to manipulate—often times, conceptualize. Either way, many argued that adolescence was not—in fact—the pinnacle of existence. Rather, it was a meager beginning.
Both Seth and Renesmee might have attested to this fact, they’d been the youngest in their homes—social groups—circles consisted both of the acquainted, and the immediate family members. Among his friends, Seth was considered the ‘prude' of sorts, and maybe that was a good thing—but he saw it more as a nuisance, than anything else. Perhaps he would have liked to have been appreciated for his lack of lewd innuendos.
In the company of someone like Renesmee, he’d be absolutely no stranger.

"Oh, I'm sure."
Renesmee cheeks immediately flush as she's exposed to the heat of the room. It was obviously colder than she thought outside. It's easy to forget things like that when you're a hybrid half-vampire.
Renesmee calls to her Grandfather once again, three times, to let him know there's a human present. She releases his hand and walks to her grandfather's library. Her grandfather walks out just then. She explains his predicament and stands by the books, entranced.

kalti isn’t sure whether he’s grateful that the girl’s lead him away from the hoard of vampires, or if she’s made the situation even worse by dragging him into their home.
but — there’s no going back now, anyway.
he must admit, the inside of the mansion looks even more magnificent than it does on the outside. the study that she leads him into is nice as well, and he looks around curiously, mocha optics scanning the spines of various books.
❝Are you sure your family is fine with my being here?❞

"Momma? Momma is... out with Aunt Alice. Shopping."
Renesmee would be lying if she said she wasn't disappointed to find out he was only here to see her mother. She had been waiting for him to come visit her who knows how long, and the only person he wants to see is her mother?
Renesmee watched him look at the house, and blinked. Something was obviously bothering him. Renesmee knew she'd never get his attention if he was thinking about other stuff. Renesmee sighed.
"Do you wanna see Daddy, or Carlisle?"

”Hey Ness—”
Jacob moved from between branches, now out of the forest. Fully visable he rubbed his neck before meeting her at the front stairs of her house. It had been a rough week—a rough few weeks actually. But Jacob had promised her again and again he would come by. Something had always seem to come up. So he figured now would be a great time to surprised her right?
He moved to jut out his hand in case she were to fall. Only to see her skip down the rest of the stairs and stop in front of him. Offering her a smile he shrugged some and took a peak inside the house.
”Yeah. Surprised? I had Angel take over my shift. I thought I’d come down and see you. Where’s your mom?”

"Seth?"
Renesmee looked up from the puzzle she engaged in doing with Jacob, catching sight of her second favorite wolf standing in the doorway. She didn't know he was planning on visiting.
Renesmee hadn't seen much any of the wolves since the Vulturi confrontation. Whether they were avoiding her, or simply busy was beyond her, but she'd be lying if she said she didn't miss them.
"Grandma Esme just left to go shopping, there's no food here."

"Jake!"
Renesmee is pleasantly surprised when she sees Jake emerge from the trees. She's been hoping he'd visit, but she didn't wanna get her feelings hurt if he didn't. The girl runs down the stairs, and nearly trips, but, due to ballerina-like grace, she doesn't.
She comes to a halt in front of him, big brown orbs similar to that of her mother's old ones.
"What are you doing here? I thought you had wolf business to take care of?"

Renesmee barely registers his strange behavior until she feels his discomfort. She must have tipped him off somehow. Uh oh, she thinks, as she watches him. He looks cornered, scared, out of his element. Renesmee frowns.
"Bella, Edward, he helped me find my way back home. I think he needs help getting back to his own home, as well."
Her parents frown as well, and Renesmee shrugs. She once again reaches for him and grabs his wrist, pulling him in the house.
"Granpa should be here somewhere." She says, walking to his study.

her words leave an odd feeling resonating within him. why would anyone be scared of such a family? kalti didn’t see any harm —
that is, until he got close to them. and smelled it. vampire.
kalti looks down at the girl when she trails off, expecting him to fill in the blanks. he swallows, wondering how the hell he’d allowed his guard to drop so damn low that he’d walked right into a coven of bloodsuckers.
❝ — Kalti. Hello.❞
