“W-wait, WAIT!!! Not so loud, dammit!” Fingers rush towards his mouth in a gesture that he meant to use as a call for hushed voices to be used. Ever since he’d taken on his parasitic passenger, Eddie had enjoyed avoiding the attention of others, let alone be approached like this so unexpectedly.        “Yes, my name’s Brock-- but please, call me Eddie, man. ...Now what is it that you want from me?”

“So if I’ve got this right--” Speaking slowly, he regarded his words with care, using the majority of his attention to process the incredible information that the brown haired boy -- goddamn! he’s just a kid!!! -- had just conveyed to him. “You’ve got this-- watch?” ‘Omnitrix’? “--That allows you to turn into... what you call heroes, right?”

With the hidden recesses of his soul, something dark and sinister trilled at such a ridiculous thought; Venom’s laughter sent an unwelcome shiver rocketing up his spine, with Eddie trying his best to hide his reaction. 

Incredulous, all of a sudden, he felt like making a request of the kid; “Can ya give me a demonstration, maybe?” It was only after that he had gotten these words out that they had been placed upon his tongue, ready to be spoken, by the parasite living comfortably in the gaps between his organs and bones.

This was.... bad.

“We know you...” Just like a predator recognises its own kind, the ebony beast felt strangely... secure when standing before this unknown visitor, thinking nothing of bowing their head to them as a sign of respect; a urchin recognising its progenitor. “H̶̛O̶͠͏W̢͝ c̷̴á͝n͏̧̕ t͞h̷͘a̶̡t ̶̧b͜͠e ̶̨͏p͡o͟s͜s̡i̷͢b̨l̡e?̴!”

“Hey, I know you.” Gesturing to the costumed vigilante as he spoke, from this close up Eddie’s was willing to bet the last of his reputation on a safe hunch. “Yeah. Yeah it’s got to be that.” Snapping his fingers, he pulled a face, then relaxed, as if letting his mind assemble pieces of a jigsaw so that it formed a coherent picture. 

“You’re that kid that was with Tony Stark, right? Spider... Ah, yeah, Spider-Man!”
