____________________________________________________________ Chapter IV : Hot in the Storm
The Normandy’s briefing room buzzed with activity, the kind of excitement they knew well, the kind that kicks in at the heart of action. The ship seemed to fold in on itself, gearing up for the silent, insidious battle that was taking shape on the horizon. Wrex, leaning against a wall, arms crossed, grumbled about those Varren sons who acted like cowards, who didn’t dare face Shepard head-on, like real warriors. Grunt, true to himself, suggested blowing everything up as soon as they found them. Jack was slouched in a chair, her feet firmly placed on the table, while Miranda, always so formal, tried to make her remove the "unofficial" position, but the amused look in her eyes betrayed the tenderness that radiated from their relationship. Tali and IDA, with Garrus’s help, were buried in the report of their findings, attempting to interpret everything they had discovered.
It was in the middle of this whirlwind that Shepard and Liara entered, together, their gazes determined. The ship seemed to almost stop for them, freezing in a suspended moment.
Jack: "So, what do we have on this ship, Tali?" Shepard asked, her voice calm but determined as she settled into one of the chairs near Jack. Liara joined her on her left, her gaze quickly shifting toward her, always so protective, even in this meeting space.
Tali turned her mask toward them, a brief but confident movement. "IDA intercepted, just before the explosion, a quick contact that allowed her to recover some telemetry packets. Thanks to that, I isolated a fragment of the ship's FTL engine log and a routing table. Unfortunately, the latter was corrupted..."
IDA, true to her role, confirmed in a mechanical voice but with cold precision: "Which made it difficult to establish their past trajectory, but Garrus suggested we use the approach angle and the speed of the last level, which allowed us to triangulate their trajectory. We've isolated two sectors and a corresponding trajectory code."
Garrus’s eyes shone as he added, a smirk on his face: "What was left exploitable in the data was a navigation label: AKT-Σ/RT."
Miranda, who had been observing closely, suddenly sat up, a look of recognition in her eyes: "This coding format... it matches Cerberus. This code is linked to Akterat."
Liara looked up at Miranda, surprise and doubt in her voice: "Cerberus?"
Liara's hand instinctively rested on Shepard’s thigh, an intimate and protective gesture, but also a soft, fiery reminder of the bond between them. She knew this touch brought back echoes of their recent kiss, those small flames that were never far away.
Miranda nodded, a thoughtful look on her face: "I find it puzzling. Cerberus disappeared after the death of the Illusive Man and the fall of the Reapers. How is it possible that this ship still bears their mark?"
Shepard, destabilized by the soft hand brushing against her, took a deep breath to regain her composure. Jack didn’t miss a beat, and it made her smile, more amused than anything. The Commander leaned forward, her eyes scanning the information in front of her.
"Akterat... This name doesn’t show up on standard maps. But I believe I’ve come across it in some internal Alliance reports during my convalescence."
Garrus burst out laughing, mocking but friendly: "Well, who would have thought that Alliance reports were such a captivating read?"
Shepard shrugged with a smirk. "I had some time to kill..."
Liara came to her companion’s aid, pressing her hand a little more firmly on her thigh, which made the Commander shiver. The Asari remained impassive, but it was impossible for her to ignore the effect this gesture had on her lover. Shepard even suspected it was intentional, even though Liara’s voice remained neutral, innocent, as she continued: "This name is mentioned in old Broker files. What’s surprising is that this planet is near a dead mass relay. It was this relay that the Broker was interested in at the time, wondering what Cerberus was doing near such a desolate place."
Shepard, her gaze lost in thought, took a moment to organize her thoughts before concluding in a sharp voice: "It’s highly likely that this planet houses an old Cerberus installation, and our ship might have stopped by for a questionable reason."
Garrus nodded, ever the pragmatist: "Especially since it’s strange for an active ship to stop in a system where the relay is dead. If there’s a base, it’s supposed to be inactive."
Tali proposed: "What if this dead relay was experimental?"
Shepard shrugged. "There’s only one way to find out. And in any case, we don’t have any other exploitable leads. Joker!"
In the room, the ship seemed to awaken. "I hear you, Commander," Joker replied, his voice calm yet energetic. "Heading there now. We’ll be in the system in 24 hours."
"Very well." Shepard’s voice grew firmer, her body straightening into a command posture. Her gaze swept across the room, the attentive faces of her crew locked on her. "Everyone get ready. I’ll take a small team with me." She turned her gaze toward Liara, her eyes locking with hers, a silent promise shared.
Liara met her gaze, a barely perceptible shiver passing through her features. She remained calm, as always, but something in her eyes betrayed the intensity of the emotion she was holding back. Shepard, standing in front of her, straightened up, her voice becoming firmer, but also soft and tender.
"I want to know everything about this planet, Liara. The climate, the fauna, the flora... Everything that could help us anticipate what lies ahead." The words were carefully chosen, as if preparing herself, strengthening her confidence in the unknown, but only Liara could decipher what was going on in her eyes and mind, where uncertainties and a hint of worry mixed — worries she never let show. Shepard then added to Cerberus’s former ally: "Miranda, if you can retrieve all the information possible on this base, that would be perfect. We never know what might be waiting for us there."
She straightened up, the adrenaline beginning to flow through her veins, but she wasn’t in a hurry. Not yet. She wanted this mission to be prepared meticulously, while knowing that no preparation could truly account for the unknown. "In the meantime, everyone, rest up. We don’t know what’s waiting for us."
A silence fell. The crew members began to move, each following their instructions. The briefing room doors closed behind them, and Shepard felt Liara move closer, her hand gently sliding down her arm. She felt her even closer, like a familiar shadow, and it reassured her.
Jack and Miranda walked down the corridor toward the "cheerleader's" cabin. Their voices mixed with the tension in the air, a slightly mocking camaraderie floating between them.
"I don’t know what Shepard did to Liara, but they’re having a hard time peeling off from each other
" Jack chuckled, her tone light, almost lascivious, but also filled with that spark of curiosity that defined her.
Miranda raised an eyebrow, an amused smile playing on her lips. "I think she’s just breathing, that’s all." Her voice was calm, but there was a glint in her eyes that betrayed the truth they both knew: the intensity of the relationship between Shepard and Liara was obvious.
Jack, with a smirk, added with a sparkle in her voice: "Oh, well, Liara was about two seconds away from licking Shepard’s shadow."
Miranda shot a knowing glance, a small laugh escaping her lips. "How much do you wanna bet they’re going to explode before we even get to Aktarat?"
Jack, nonchalantly, shrugged. "I’ll bet an hour."
"Deal." Miranda replied, her smile slipping into a playful grin. The shadow of laughter lingered between them, but she knew this was more than just talk. They both knew the depth of the bond that tied the two women together, and they understood that it wasn’t just a game.
The Commander's cabin was silent, except for the soft metallic click of the M98 Widow that Camille Shepard maintained with almost sacred attention. Her sniper rifle, her silent companion on the battlefield, the tool of her efficiency. She treated it with almost intimate respect, each movement of her hands carrying a touch of tenderness, as if the weapon itself had a soul. Liara, sitting on the couch, absorbed in her research on Aktarat, stole a quick glance at her companion. She smiled slightly before making a remark, her tone both teasing and tense.
"I sometimes feel like if you could, you'd sleep with that... thing."
Shepard looked up, her gaze as piercing as the bullets she fired from her rifle, and responded indignantly: "Hey, don’t talk about the M98 Widow like that! It’s a little gem. Extreme precision, capable of piercing certain armor. Even Garrus is jealous of it."
Liara remained silent, but a small smile tugged at her lips, hiding her slight confusion. Of course, she knew it was part of Camille’s soldier side, but there was something irresistible in the way the Commander lost herself in her weapon, as if she found comfort in it, an anchor in a world often too chaotic. Liara turned her eyes from her datapad and focused on Shepard with an almost possessive attention. Her eyes followed every movement of her hands, each precise, almost ritualistic gesture, her crossed legs, her neck exposed by her V-neck shirt, her calm breath, her chest rising and falling with that tranquility.
Shepard, becoming aware of her lover’s gaze, allowed her focus on the rifle to shift into sensuality. She took her time, each movement slower, more graceful, as if to awaken a discreet but omnipresent desire.
"Shepard..."
Liara’s whisper vibrated the air around them, her voice soft yet charged with palpable intensity. A shiver ran down the Commander’s spine, and she smiled, the corner of her lips lifting, her gaze meeting the Asari’s with a spark of challenge.
"Oh, calling me by my last name now? You must really be wound up, my love."
The tone was teasing, though a glimmer of amusement shone in her eyes.
Liara didn’t respond immediately, but the atmosphere between them tightened, electrified. Shepard could feel Liara’s eyes burning through her, lingering on her silhouette. She set her rifle down on the table and, with a fluid gesture, stood up. She had wanted to play earlier? The Commander thought back to their fiery kiss, the hand that had caressed her thigh
the palpable tension between them in that moment. She slid her hands over her belt, unfastening it, and Liara froze. The pants slipped to the floor, followed by the t-shirt, revealing her lover’s finely toned abs, and the scars that the Asari both admired and despised. Liara’s pupils dilated slightly, and Shepard continued... one by one, the remaining clothes joined the floor. Liara could no longer detach her gaze, her eyes piercing through Camille’s skin, fascinated by every detail.
Shepard then moved toward the bathroom, wordlessly, naked, her gaze daring Liara’s. Her movements were slow, measured, like a silent promise. An invitation.
"I’m going to take a shower. Coming?"
Liara slowly stood, each movement controlled, an unshakable grace. But beneath her calm exterior, she burned with desire. Camille knew her too well not to see that hidden flame. She still had that power over her, the ability to ignite every fiber of her being. Liara approached with calculated slowness, her eyes fixed on the Commander’s figure, which stared back at her with a defiant gleam in her eyes. A gleam that Camille loved to make disappear during their love-making, under her precise caresses. Liara knew exactly what to do to drive Camille wild, and the reverse was true. But Liara was better at maintaining control in these situations.
"Are you aware that this shower is going to take... a lot longer than expected, right?" she informed her, even though the other knew perfectly well.
Shepard turned slightly, a defiant smile brushing her lips.
"Oh yes... that’s the point, Dr. T'Soni."
The beep of the communicator suddenly shattered the rising tension. Joker’s voice came through, clear and professional.
"Commander, approaching Aktarat. We’ll be near landing in 20 minutes."
Liara froze for a moment, a sigh of frustration escaping her lips. Her hands landed on Camille’s hips with a gentle but determined force, pushing her against her. The contact of their skin, Camille’s bare body against Liara’s uniform, sent a shiver of longing through both of them. Liara locked her gaze with Camille’s, her lips pressing against hers with burning intensity. Liara’s hands slid over Camille’s warm skin, each caress, each press against her body reminding her of how much this woman was hers.
"It seems we’ll have to put this off for later, darling
" Liara murmured against her lips, a provocative smile playing on her features. "Let me just give you a taste of what you’ve provoked."
The kiss that followed was wilder, more hurried, an explosion of shared desire. Liara’s hands were everywhere, lost in Camille’s curves, exploring her skin as if it were the last time. A moan escaped Shepard, her lips barely separating from Liara’s, feeling the heat of her body like an inferno. Every movement between them was an intoxicating dance, each kiss burning with a thousand silent promises.
And then Liara pulled away.
"Let’s go. Get ready. Commander."
Her tone was both a challenge and a warning. Liara knew what she was doing, and she loved it.
The door closed behind her, and Shepard, breathless, slowly straightened up. Her hands rested on her hips, her gaze drifting to the cabin where Liara had just exited. There was energy between them, a fire that was only waiting to burn. But this fire... it only asked to wait.
The warm water flowing over her skin moments later loosened her muscles. But her mind was elsewhere. Liara’s gaze. The tension. The desire. The heat. She found herself smiling alone under the water, forgetting the danger that threatened the bubble they had built.
Hundreds of light-years away, in a dimly lit space, a silhouette watched the illuminated screens in front of her. Images of the Citadel appeared from various angles, but only one particular area seemed to catch her attention: a corner of the residential zones, near the casino where she had played years ago.
Her gaze pierced through the pixels on the screen, scanning every detail, until the neighborhood she was looking for appeared. She observed for a moment, then a satisfied smile curled on her lips. It was empty.
"Have they started following my trail, Shepard?" she murmured in a barely audible breath.
Just then, a message appeared on one of the screens, confirming her suspicions.
"Veritas. The Normandy is entering the Noxus system. They seem to be heading for Aktarat."
The silhouette slowly straightened up, a sinister smile playing on her lips. She responded in a soft, almost hypnotic voice, full of seduction and control.
"It doesn’t matter. Let them think they’re making progress. They’ll never find our trail."
Silence fell as the silhouette’s gaze became icy, a metallic glint flashing through her eyes. Then, in an almost imperceptible whisper, she added, as a promise, a challenge.
"Ah, Shepard. I can’t wait to see how you defend yourself. This game... is going to be delicious."

____________________________________________________________ Chapter III : Us in the Storm
Summary : Shepard is doubting herself, fortunatly Liara is here to comfort her. CW : Erotical content and mention of sex ___________________________________________________________
Time seemed suspended, stretched like a thin thread in the vastness. Shepard wandered through the ship, each step echoing through the dark corridors of the Normandy, each movement an attempt to push back the shadow of doubt that floated in her mind. It wasn’t fear, no, but an ancient premonition, an instinct she had learned to listen to with the precision of a sniper. She had survived, yes, but this time, it was different. There was something, a strange emptiness, like a storm ready to burst, something she couldn’t name but could feel, deeply rooted within her. She thought the war against the Reapers had changed her, that she had left behind what seemed like the end of an era. But in this ship she knew like the back of her hand, a ship that had been her home, her refuge, and her battleground, Camille was coming to terms with the fact: this would never truly end.
Every hallway, every corner of the Normandy was soaked with memories, the sounds of voices, laughter, whispered confessions, promises made in the intimacy of stolen moments, tears too, cries of pain. Every surface seemed to still vibrate with the moments when she had crossed paths with her allies, her friends, her lover too... Yet today, it wasn’t the memory that troubled her, but the harsh reality of the present. Guilt gripped her in a silent embrace, heavy like the dust of a war that never truly ended. She pressed on her shoulder, wounded by years of battle; each fight, each request for help from those she loved reminded her that they had all already paid a heavy toll for the galaxy. She had no right to drag them into this new threat, yet... the burden was hers once again, and they accepted to help without hesitation. It didn’t help her.
She entered her cabin, a retreat, a sanctuary where the echoes of her doubts had resonated many times before. Then, she stopped dead, as the door closed behind her. Liara. She was there, frozen in front of the aquarium, her gaze lost in the silent ballet of the fish. Joker had been right, he had taken perfect care of it. The fish swam slowly, their vibrant colors blending with the silvery reflections of the stars. But Camille knew well that Liara wasn’t truly seeing this scene. She knew her too well. She could feel, deep within her, the underlying agitation, the invisible tension that emanated from her, despite her apparent calm.
Liara didn’t move. But her silhouette was bathed in the starlight, almost unreal in the dimness of the ship, like a soft apparition yet full of strength. Camille, with a certain slowness, moved toward her, each step measured, as if the world around them was suspended. She approached without making a sound, as though everything else could wait. Without a word, she gently took Liara’s arm and turned her toward her. A firm yet tender gesture, like a hand that guides, that decides not to wait any longer. Liara then found herself facing her, her azure eyes locked with hers, but Camille wasn’t waiting for an answer. She kissed her.
It wasn’t a gentle kiss, not a delicate kiss. No, it was a fiery kiss, full of that unspoken emotion, of a love that wouldn’t be crushed by the darkness. A kiss where fatigue, fear, and the certainty of unyielding love merged into one pulse. Liara let herself be swept away by this embrace. Her arms closed around her, pulling her closer. Camille felt her body against hers, Liara’s lips pressing with the urgency of someone who had been waiting for this for far too long. It was a kiss that took everything, that consumed everything, a kiss where, finally, reality faded away to leave only the two of them, together.
When they parted, it was in a shared breath, a palpable tension floating between them. Camille smiled, her eyes locked with Liara’s, a smile that didn’t want to let fear invade them. Not now. Not here. In a whisper, she slid, with a hint of mischief, of tenderness too:
“You’re sexy when you want to defend me like that, you know?”
Liara laughed, a short laugh, a bit breathless, a spark of warmth in her gaze. Her hands slid over Camille’s back, brushing against the scars she could still feel even through the fabric of her top, witnesses to the battles she had fought. Her fingers gently settled on her hips, her eyes still fixed on her. Shepard felt Liara’s tension, her barely concealed fear mixing with the intensity of her repressed desire, and her companion’s reply dissolved the first, allowing the second to come alive.
“It’s just the beginning. You haven’t seen anything yet, darling.” Liara’s voice resonated, full of promises and a sensuality charged with defiance. She sighed then, as if reality, despite their proximity, their bodies entwined, refused to leave her thoughts. An invisible truth, a heavy weight she had carried for too long, still seemed to burden her, even in this suspended moment.
Liara captured her gaze, her azure eyes drowned in an ocean of unspoken doubts. But it was Liara, and Camille knew every tremor, every shiver that ran through her. She knew that the peace they created together was just a fragile illusion, attacked by external forces neither of them could control.
"I know why you just kissed me," Liara's voice softened, almost timid, like a breath of confession. "I know why you need it... You’re scared."
The world around Camille seemed to slow down, and a shiver ran across her skin. She straightened slightly, her hands gliding over Liara's arms, trying to support her in this moment of anxiety where the breath grew shorter, heavier.
"You’re scared too, I see it, I feel it, Liara," her voice, initially soft, took a more serious turn. She wasn’t here to hide her own doubts, not here to protect herself at all costs. Camille knew what Liara's fear meant. "But you don’t need to worry about me." She smiled then, as if to dispel the heavy atmosphere. "After all, we’ve always made it through. We’ve made it this far..."
The words, though comforting, didn’t seem enough. Liara, her eyes locked with Camille's, didn’t let go. She held her close with such force, such necessity, that Camille felt trapped in an embrace, both protective and consuming. The air around them was denser, every breath a silent promise. Liara, visibly troubled, tightened her grip on Camille's hips.
"What we have, my love, is... an anchor." Her voice almost broke under the intensity of her own words, her throat tight with a mix of fear and certainty. She stepped a little closer, her forehead brushing against Camille's. "You are my center. And I refuse to lose you again. I refuse for anyone to take you from me
and I refuse for you to act like it doesn’t affect you. I know you, Camille, you play tough, but you have the right to let go of the pressure. You have the right to be vulnerable."
Liara cupped Camille's face in her hands with infinite tenderness, as if every gesture was measured, weighed. A silence fell, heavy with the promise of everything those words carried. Camille felt Liara's hands, warm and enveloping, and the intensity of this touch gripped her chest. The walls she had built around herself slowly began to crack, and something, somewhere deep inside her, began to break free.
She had seen Liara strong, infused with the energy of the Shadow Broker, capable of manipulating crowds, managing impossible situations. But here, in the intimacy of this moment, she understood all the weight Liara carried, the fear of losing everything, the need to control it all.
Camille's lips parted, a shiver running through them. Her eyes closed slowly under the softness of Liara’s gaze.
"Let your doubts out, please," Liara's voice whispered against her skin, almost a silent song, a prayer for her to open up. "With me, you know you can."
The words finally escaped Camille’s throat, like a suspended breath, heavy with everything she had always kept inside, locked behind her walls. Fear, doubt, guilt— all melted in the warmth of Liara, in the trust they had built over the years.
"I’m tired, Liara... Tired of having to ask for help. Tired of this pressure they leave on me. Tired of being afraid of losing you if I make a mistake. The ship could’ve blown up in our faces earlier, and it would’ve been my fault... I..." Camille closed her eyes and rested her forehead on Liara’s shoulder, seeking silent comfort in the warmth of her presence. She clenched her jaw, trying to contain the anxiety bubbling inside her, and closed her eyes as if doing so could calm the turmoil within.
Liara didn’t let her turn away. She slid her delicate hands around her face, forcing her to open her eyes. Her fingers gently brushed Camille’s skin, tracing a calm path, yet full of meaning. "My love, look at me."
Shepard looked up at her, her pupils drowned in doubt and pain. Liara held her gaze, tender yet assured. "You have the right to be vulnerable, you have the right to make mistakes. You don’t have to carry it all alone. No one has the shoulders for that, yet you do it... with a will that commands admiration. But, Camille..." She paused, her voice becoming softer, more intimate. "You need to learn to let go. To relinquish control." Her fingers slid between Camille's, intertwining in a gesture that was both reassuring and possessive.
Liara’s teasing smile came just at the right moment. She moved in closer, her breath brushing Camille’s ear, and whispered, her voice warm and caressing: "Just like you’ve learned to do in our bedroom."
Camille felt a shiver of warmth rush through her at the mention of their last intimate moment. A shy smile tugged at her lips. "But it’s not the same!" she retorted, though Liara’s tenderness made her already weaker against her own contradictions.
Liara smiled against her skin, her breath grazing her ear before gently capturing it between her lips. "True," she conceded with a mischievous smile, "it’s not the same... but it’s connected." Her mouth slid along Shepard’s jaw, leaving a trail of warmth that spread quickly. "Isn’t that why you love letting me have control when we make love? Because you refuse to do it elsewhere..." A shiver ran down Camille's spine, her breath growing heavier. Liara knew exactly where to strike, where to stir up the desire that consumed her entirely. "And that’s also what I love about you, that vulnerability that is also your strength."
Her hands slid slowly under her lover's top, grazing the skin of her hips, gently pulling her closer. The heat rose. Liara’s scent, a mix of exotic Thessian flowers and jasmine, swept away all logic, all rational thought. Camille felt her heart beat faster, harder, like a drum. Liara’s warm body against hers was one more promise, the one she had always made: never letting her lose herself.
A moan escaped Shepard’s lips, an instinctive response to the pressure, to the palpable sensuality that enveloped them. Liara knew exactly how to lead her to the point where she no longer had control, but where she had never needed to let go more than she did now. The heat between them was unbearable, a mutual desire rising slowly, inevitably.
But just as the tension reached its peak, and they were about to give in, EDI’s voice shattered the intimate aura of the moment, like a blade cutting through the fragile thread of silk.
"Shepard, Garrus, Tali, and I have new information. Would you like me to gather the crew in the briefing room for an update on what we’ve found on the ship?"
The frustrated grunt that escaped Camille’s lips was barely contained. Liara, too, sighed, irritated by the interruption. She pulled back with a gesture, her breath short, but her eyes remained firmly locked on Camille’s, leaving no doubt about the promise of what would follow once the mission was over.
"Yes! I’ll be there in 5 minutes," Camille replied, her voice slightly husky, as if she had left a part of herself in the breath she had just exchanged with Liara. A soft smile, more tender than ever, spread across her lips. Without letting go of her lover, she declared, "We’ll win this battle. And then... I want us to have our ‘after.’ I really want it."
Liara had pulled away, leaving the space between them crackling with a soft electricity. At those words, her eyes locked onto Shepard’s, expressing everything... everything that existed between them, and she responded:
"You know, you just gave me one more reason to blow up the entire universe if anyone dares to hurt you or take you away from our ‘after.’"
The Commander laughed softly. She knew it was completely sincere.

____________________________________________________________ Chapter II : Like the old days
Summary : Shepard contacts her crew and they start tracking down the threat CW : Some erotical content. ___________________________________________________________
Liara didn’t waste a second. Her hands moved effortlessly over the omnitech controls, setting up an encrypted network, a secured channel. They had done this hundreds of times. This dynamic, they knew it by heart. The words came one after the other without effort, the gestures instinctive. None of this frightened them—in fact, it had become a sort of dance between them, fluid and almost unconscious. After all, they had shared so many battles, so many moments when urgency became second nature.
Camille Shepard, with a precise movement, contacted what remained of her crew... No, it was no longer her crew, it was her friends. They had been there in the darkest moments, allies on the field, but also confidants and loved ones. Garrus was the first to answer. His deep voice echoed immediately through the comms, and the hint of irony in his tone always made Camille smile, despite the tension hanging in the air.
“So, Shepard? Bored and in the mood for a shooting contest?” Tali’s holographic image appeared in the background. She suddenly emerged, her enthusiasm still palpable in her voice. “It’s Shepard? Oh, hey Shepard! How’s retirement going?”
Camille rolled her eyes, a barely noticeable smile on her lips. “Not too bad
I’ve seen better...” she replied, grimacing slightly. The weight of her situation still weighed on her shoulders, but she wasn’t about to let the gravity of the moment consume her. Not with them. The holographic figures of the others quickly appeared in the communication space: Miranda, always dignified, so serious and composed, contrasting with Jack’s more laid-back attitude as she casually rested her hand on her “cheerleader’s” shoulder—an oddly effective protective gesture in their relationship. Wrex appeared next, grinning with barely noticeable teeth. Grunt, always imposing, his eyes fixed. James and Kaidan were missing, but they were stuck on Earth and unavailable for now. Too bad, Shepard could have really used them. Then Joker appeared, the touch of humor everyone was waiting for, about to crack a joke, but stopping dead when he saw Camille’s serious expression. EDI, beside him, remained unreadable
then again, her robotic body didn’t allow for much else. Camille’s gaze hardened, and Joker, instantly understanding, said nothing. Even his usual grin faded. He shivered slightly before furrowing his brow, exchanging a brief glance with EDI. The latter, true to her function, spoke in her mechanical voice, tinged with what little emotion she could muster:
“Your jaw is clenched, your breath is shallow, and your gaze is dark, indicating you are at 88.8% tension, Commander Shepard.”
Camille closed her eyes for a moment, feeling the tension build in her chest. It was time to speak plainly. She took a deep breath, as if to rid herself of the rising anxiety, and then spoke with a firm, professional voice, leaving no room for uncertainty.
“I received a threatening message and a package equally
unsettling.” She let a small pause hang in the air. “I tried to trace the origin, it seems to be coming from nearby, but I think it’s a relay and it’s coming from much further. I need your help tracking it, and if necessary, I’ll need you for a mission.”
A silence settled immediately. The weight of her words hung heavily in the air, palpable. No one asked unnecessary questions because they all understood the stakes: someone was hunting her, an enemy who knew her work, someone capable of hiding in the shadows, even from her own network. The danger had never felt so real. Wrex, faithful to himself, was the first to break the silence.
“Tell me, Shepard. Is it common for your Varren excrement to decide to target a living legend? Because we plan on kicking its ass, right?”
A fragile smile crossed Camille’s lips. She had never stopped appreciating Wrex’s humor, even in the most tense situations. It was a welcome relief.
“That’s exactly what I wanted to hear!” she replied, her voice more determined. “I don’t know if I’m allowed to use my resources, after all, I’m on leave, retired
The Alliance hasn’t contacted me much recently.” A slight smile formed on her lips. She suspected Liara had put considerable pressure on Admiral Hackett, threatening to biotically crush his brain if he didn’t give her a little more time to rest. But she had never dared voice that possibility out loud in front of Liara—it was too risky. “But I’m not about to stand by while I’m being threatened!”
The looks exchanged were all too clear. She wasn’t going to hide, not now. “I’ll take care of tracking that signal.” Tali immediately announced, her enthusiasm palpable in her voice, a glint of determination in her eyes. “I’ve seen and done similar follow-ups. This should be doable.”
“I’ll check with the SSC to find out more about your package deliverer.” Garrus, the best in his field, added. Shepard didn’t doubt he’d find something useful. After all, he was her best asset.
“The Normandy will be ready for takeoff, Commander.” Joker straightened up, his smile a faint gleam, but he kept up the appearance. “Even without the credentials, you’re still my Commander, and I obey your orders more than those of these stuck-up Council or Alliance folks.”
“Language, Joker.” Camille couldn’t help but smile at her friend’s usual tendency to cross the line while maintaining a firm tone.
“Sorry, Commander.”
She raised her eyes, a small smile on her lips. “I don’t think the Alliance will mind me taking a stroll on the Normandy. After all
 it’s my ship.”
The communications began to cut off one by one. Their support, their allies, were ready. Camille suddenly felt lighter, as if this last breath of adversity had dissipated the tension that had weighed on her for far too many days. Liara, who had remained beside her, approached and gently intertwined her fingers with Camille’s. The tenderness in her gaze pierced Camille like a ray of sunlight. She kissed her temple lightly, a simple gesture but full of reassurance. Camille felt Liara’s warmth spreading through her skin, and for a moment, the world around them seemed to disappear. “You’re not alone, Camille.” Liara’s voice was soft, but filled with certainty. “You’re not, and you never will be.” In that unspoken promise, Camille found a deep comfort. No matter what threat loomed over them, as long as they were together, they could face anything.

Meanwhile
in the shadows A hooded figure, in a dimly lit office, gazes at a wall of data and holographic portraits. Among them, a familiar face: Shepard. The figure smiles, cold, almost obsessed. “Soon, she will be mine.”
---------------------------------------------
The next evening, in the heavy atmosphere of waiting
Shepard sat by the large bay window overlooking the Citadel. The lights twinkled in the distance, a city never asleep, but peaceful at first glance, unaware of the plotting beneath its surface. Camille gazed at the sprawling lights, feeling each glimmer as a promise of a world in perpetual motion, yet tonight, it seemed to freeze around them. There was something reassuring in the calm, yet something strangely oppressive. She didn’t have the peace of mind she had imagined in this apparent tranquility. Thoughts still churned, fast and insatiable, like a storm in her mind.
Liara sat beside her, legs pulled up against her chest, her soft face illuminated by the glow of her datapad. Her fingers glided over the screen with quiet precision, as if she knew exactly what she was doing. Yet, her eyes, hidden behind a curtain of dark hair, betrayed the tension occupying her mind. She was tracking the lost signal, refusing to accept abandonment or failure. Not when it came to Shepard. Liara had seen her in danger too many times, and there was no way she would let it happen again. Not now. Not when her lover was finally safe, finally at rest.
She lifted her eyes from her work and placed her hand gently on Shepard’s, a light and tender touch. It was simple. It didn’t need words. It was a silent ‘I’m here, I’m watching over you.’ Camille, despite the weight of her thoughts, allowed herself a moment of silence, of calm. The warmth of Liara’s hand against hers, the sensation of her soft skin against hers, comforted her more than anything. These moments were rare, but precious. In the intimacy of this instant, Camille closed her eyes, letting herself be soothed by Liara’s proximity, by the stillness of her presence.
“You know,” Liara whispered, her voice low, almost fragile. She seemed to hesitate for a moment before continuing, as though these words were heavier to say than she had imagined. “I’ve always believed I would be able to protect everyone, my mother, my planet...” She paused for a moment, her gaze drifting away slightly. She swallowed. “I won’t let failure take the people I love again. Do you know why it’s different this time?”
Camille turned her head toward her, a soft smile forming on her lips. Her eyes locked onto Liara’s, and there was a shared understanding in the depth of that gaze. She knew what was behind Liara’s words, what those words were masking. It wasn’t just a declaration of protection. It was an admission. Liara protected her, and that need to protect her was more intense than ever. “Because you care about me?” she said, her voice both light and tender, a teasing smile on her lips, but so sincere. Liara nodded, a soft laugh escaping her throat. A laugh that mixed with a form of relief, a weight lifting. It only made the moment more precious. Liara, the warrior, the strategist, the unyielding woman, was showing vulnerability. And Camille understood it more than anyone.
“Because I love you.” Liara lowered her eyes, her breath growing shorter. “More than I ever thought I could.” Those words were both heavy and light, both full of strength and tenderness.
The silence stretched between them, thick with meaning, charged with an emotion they didn’t want to force, but that naturally wove itself into the air. There was nothing else. Only them. What Liara had just said, those three words, seemed to resonate in the air between them, warming the atmosphere, dispelling any lingering doubts. Camille, touched to her core, could wait no longer. Without a word, she turned fully toward Liara, letting herself be swept up in that silent whirlwind. Her lips sought Liara’s with a gentle urgency, a soft yet irresistible yearning, but one filled with tenderness. Liara responded instantly, her contained passion unleashing with the same perfect mastery she applied to everything else. Her hands found their way into Liara’s tentacles, while Camille felt herself being pulled in by that tranquil, yet devastating force.
Their bodies pressed together, the embrace growing deeper, more electrifying. The world around them disappeared, as if the entire universe had paused. All that remained were their breaths, intertwining, their bodies brushing in a silent ballet. Their hearts beat in unison, the silent promise that, whatever happened, they would be there for each other. Liara finally broke the kiss, her warm breath against Camille’s skin. Her voice, hoarse, melodic, and soft, echoed between them.
“We’re stronger together, Camille. Nothing will break us.”
Camille nodded, a smile both serene and intense, her eyes shining with the courage and strength Liara had always instilled in her. She felt ready, ready to face anything as long as they were together. She had survived twice when death seemed certain, and it was Liara who had given her the strength to keep living, to keep fighting. She feared nothing, not anymore, not with Liara by her side. But before they could resume their embrace, a beep interrupted the silence. The communication. Camille rolled her eyes, slightly annoyed by the interruption, but also knowing they couldn’t avoid what was coming.
Tali’s voice, determined and reassuring, resonated in the room. “Camille, I’ve traced the signal. It led me to an unknown signature moving quickly. It just left the Citadel sector. Not sure if it’s a relay, but it might be your shadow. It wouldn’t hurt to check
” Liara, always as determined, stood up in one swift motion, her gaze immediately igniting with that unquenchable fire that never left her. “We need to go!” Her voice, both grave and full of assurance, left no room for hesitation. Camille nodded without hesitation, her mind already switching to operational mode. “I’ll contact Admiral Hackett.” After all, getting the Alliance’s authorization to command her own vessel was the best option. It would make things easier, she was certain of that.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A few hours later, Shepard stood on Alliance Dock 14. Dressed in a casual Alliance outfit, neither uniform nor armor for the moment, she faced the Normandy. Her ship. A ship she knew better than any other, almost a partner in life. The Normandy and Liara. If her sniper rifle hadn’t been there to complete her, this ship would probably have been her only true partner. She gazed at it for a moment, a certain emotion passing through her. How long had it been since she had set foot on its floor, smelled the metal, wandered through its quarters, its cargo hold
almost an eternity. Nearly two years
God! The ship, immense and silent, stood before her like a faithful companion, waiting, always ready, like a second skin, a home. She exhaled, trying to shake off the weight of the moment.
"Everything okay, Shepard?" Garrus' familiar, slightly teasing voice echoed behind her. Camille turned toward him, a half-amused, half-relieved smile on her lips. "Let’s just say... I didn’t think I’d be setting foot here again." She let out a small laugh, one that only emphasized the tenderness and camaraderie she felt for the man who had been by her side through the darkest and brightest times. Garrus shrugged, a half-smile playing on his face. "Yep. We thought we’d be drinking in the best bar in paradise, you and me, huh?" She shot him a sideways glance, a smile that was both teasing and sincere. "That still holds for when we pass on, Garrus. I’ve got your offer saved. If I get there before you, I’ll save you a pint." He slapped her on the left shoulder, the one that still caused her some pain, and she winced slightly. It wasn’t much, just that old, persistent ache that had followed her for far too long. "Come on, quit messing around, Shepard! You’re holed up in your living room; no chance you’re dying before me, unless you start eating too much sugar. I heard that’s not too good for you humans." She rubbed her shoulder, laughing softly. "No, indeed. What about you?" "For us? It’s an aphrodisiac!" he said, his voice laced with mischief, as he headed toward the ramp. "Come on, Shepard, your crew’s waiting for you!"
A smile spread across Camille’s lips, and she followed him. As she entered the ship, a flood of memories suddenly overwhelmed her. Every sound of the metal echoed like a familiar call. The hum of the engines on standby, the scent of warm metal, the narrow corridors of the Normandy where she had run, cried, laughed, fought. Every corner of this ship held a story, a memory attached to it. The smell of coffee in the quarters, the little chats with the crew, the moments when she had found herself alone in the briefing room, planning strategies, preparing for the unknown, but always with the certainty that she was not alone. This living, dense memory was part of her. The Normandy was home.
She eventually crossed paths with Liara, already aboard, her gaze glowing with that light she alone knew how to offer her. Camille stared at her for a moment, feeling an irregular beat in her heart as her lover approached, a half-smile on her lips. "So Hackett finally authorized your return to the Normandy?" Liara asked, innocently, an edge of challenge and tenderness in her voice. Shepard answered, "Yes, he told me he was never opposed to me coming back, but that a certain Shadow Broker had been rather unwilling about the idea." Camille tilted her head slightly, crossing her arms with a small pout. "Oh really? Oh, I’m sure the Broker had a good reason. Like the one concerning your physical and mental state, my love?" Liara retorted, stepping closer, her finger lightly grazing Camille’s cheek before giving her a soft kiss, fleeting but full of meaning. Camille smiled, her heart beating a little faster, before letting her pass to deposit her bag. The ship hadn’t left the Milky Way yet, and the mission would be short, a few hours at most, normally; but you never knew. She forced herself to focus on that reality. But the question of how she would manage this return struck her like a surge of electricity.
"Here, on my ship, it’s Commander, Doctor T’Soni. Sleeping with your superior doesn’t give you the right to call her otherwise!" Camille said, half-joking but loud enough for the whole crew to hear. Liara turned and winked at her, both mischievous and affectionate. "Come on, a bit of seriousness, we both know who calls who ‘Commander’ in bed, darling... and I think that gives me all the rights." The navigation assistants, well-disciplined, froze in their seats, but a gleam of amusement passed through their faces. Camille, blushing to her ears, cleared her throat, embarrassed but amused. "Ahem... it’s... she’s joking!" she stammered, before rushing off toward the cockpit.
Joker was already seated, and for once, the other crew members were behind him in the communications room. They didn’t need quarters for a mission that would only last a few hours. Or so they hoped. A round trip. And tonight, the Antre de Chorras awaited them all, ready to celebrate this victory. "Ah, Commander!" Joker said, a beaming smile on his face. "If you knew how glad I am to see you back in charge. Commander Verini’s nice, but he doesn’t have your grit and your ability to resurrect, which is pretty useful, let’s be honest."
"Resurrection, in the religious sense, doesn’t exist scientifically, Jeff. Shepard was repaired thanks to modern medicine and advanced technology," EDI responded with a touch of seriousness, but always with that hint of irony. Joker grumbled. "I thought we worked on your humor, EDI..." "... However, the fact that they couldn’t do anything about your brain remains an esoteric mystery," she added, with a sharp sarcastic twist. Shepard burst out laughing. "Ah, IDA! I missed you." "You missed me too, Shepard." "And me, I smell like a skunk?" the pilot mocked. "Now that you mention it..." "Oh, shut up, robot of my heart!" "Alright, enough, both of you! Joker, I want the Normandy out of the station in 10 minutes! You have free action for the launch until we exit the system, I trust you!" "Got it, Commander."
Camille walked toward the navigation center where everyone was gathered, discussing the final details. Jack and Miranda were staring at the black rose, exchanging theories as they always did. Their relationship, unique in its way, was a mixture of competitiveness and tenderness that made them so special. The Normandy’s engines were heating up, ready to depart.
"Ah, the core still works great," Tali said, satisfied with her work. "Is there food?" Grunt, clearly indifferent to the subtleties of combat rations, had forgotten that they weren’t worth snacking on for pleasure.
Shepard settled into a chair, her thoughts growing heavier, more preoccupied. Who could possibly have a grudge against her? What enemies were left to fight? To defeat? Probably Batarians, but to come after her at home... that didn’t make sense. Her eyes closed for a moment, and she rolled her shoulder, wincing. Garrus’ tap earlier had awakened that persistent pain, like a cruel reminder of the weight she carried.
A hand then rested on her shoulder, and Camille looked up. Liara was behind her. Without a word, she began to massage the sore area. Shepard closed her eyes under the sensation, relaxing slightly. Liara said nothing at first. She felt Camille’s tension and knew that this small gesture would make a big difference. The massage, delicate and expert, brought immediate relief. Then, Liara took a seat beside Camille, her hand resting on her thigh. Their gazes met, an intensity reflecting in Liara’s eyes. "This time, Camille... it’s me who’s going to protect you, no matter what happens."
The Commander smiled faintly, feeling that shiver of complicity between them. "So, Madame Shadow Broker, are you really going to play the super-protector for the entire mission?" she teased, her voice light despite the lingering tension in the air. Liara raised an eyebrow, a small enigmatic smile on her lips. "Maybe. After all, no one knows the shadows better than me. And no one touches what belongs to me." Liara’s gaze became a delightful mix of challenge and tenderness. She gently pressed Camille’s thigh under the pilot’s table, a subtle but meaningful gesture, reminding her that, yes, Camille belonged to her, and she belonged to Camille. Camille laughed softly, a warm laugh that eased the remaining tension in the atmosphere. "I have no doubt
just as I have no doubt that your jealousy is practically oozing from every pore of your skin, darling." Liara tilted her head, a mischievous glint in her eyes. "Oh, I’ll never be subtle when it comes to you."
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Normandy traced its course through space, the stars streaming by in luminous trails, drawing silver filaments across an endless sky. Everything seemed calm, like a tranquil sea, but Shepard, she knew that calm was deceptive. In her chest, a heavy premonition was growing, heavy like the promise of a storm to come. The enemy was there, invisible, weaving its web in the shadows of the universe, preparing to strike when she least expected it. She was convinced of it.
Suddenly, EDI’s voice rang out across the bridge, cutting through the silence: “Commander Shepard, an unknown vessel is appearing on radar, silent. I believe it’s the one emitting the signal. we are looking for”
All eyes turned to the command screen, where the dark silhouette of the unknown vessel appeared, blurry and threatening.
Shepard slowly stood, walking toward the main navigation table. Her teammates watched her, their eyes fixed on her, waiting for the decision, waiting for the signal. She took a deep breath, focusing on each muscle, each breath. The conciliatory tone that had always been hers urged her to always consider the diplomatic solution before
muscle negotiations. “Joker, establish an open channel with that vessel. Standard frequency. No hostility, not yet.”
Joker, hands firmly on the controls, nodded, concentrating like never before. “Channel open, Commander. But this thing isn’t responding to any automatic pings. This is bad news.”
Shepard pressed the communication button, her gaze fixed on the screen as her voice echoed in the silence: “This is Commander Shepard, aboard the SSV Normandy. Unknown vessel, identify yourself immediately. We intercepted an unauthorized and belligerent communication coming from your ship. We have no hostile intentions, unless you demonstrate otherwise.”
The silence that followed was long, too long, uncomfortable. The seconds seemed to stretch, amplifying an unbearable tension. Then
 a crackle.
A voice rose in the heavy silence. It was soft, feminine, but altered. An odd tone, intimate, almost familiar.
“Shepard. You have me
all stirred up to hear you. I was so glad to learn you’re still alive. We have so much to catch up on, you and I. And I can’t wait to smell you again
 your fear.”
Camille’s breath caught, a shiver ran down her spine. She frowned, confusion and danger rising within her. This voice
she had already encountered this person. But who? Where? When?
Liara’s cold, furious reply came from behind Camille, sharp as a biotic shock: “Whoever you are, I advise you to choose your words carefully.”
But the enemy didn’t respond to Liara. She ignored her entirely, as if she didn’t even exist. She was speaking only to Camille Shepard. And the threat in her words was more palpable than ever.
“You don’t see it yet, but you will soon. We were connected before you even realized it. And I will bring you back to your true place. The one you’ve forgotten. The one
by my side. At my feet.”
Then, the signal cut off abruptly, leaving behind an icy silence. A heavy void, almost suffocating. A moment of deep silence enveloped the bridge before EDI’s mechanical voice broke it:
“Commander Shepard, there is no thermal signature in this vessel.” A shiver ran through the crew. An even heavier silence fell over them. “And there will be no signature at all in a minute thirty.”
Shepard frowned, her gaze hardening. “What do you mean, EDI?”
“That the ship is loaded with explosives set to detonate in one minute.”
The world seemed to freeze around Camille. A moment of pure tension before she reacted, her mind working at full speed.
“Joker, get us out of here!” the Commander exclaimed, her voice sharp, her hands slamming against the navigation table.
“Right away!” Joker responded, his eyes filled with intense concentration. The ship started to move, the engines roaring, howling in unison, trying to escape the area with remarkable speed.
The arrival in the Citadel sector was brutal. A jolt, then silence. An icy silence filled the bridge. Shepard hadn’t moved. A bead of sweat beaded on her forehead, but she made no move to wipe it away. Her mind was sharp, ready for every eventuality, but her face remained impassive. Keep calm, keep control, as she always had. As she always would. That was her strength. Not letting anything show, even if inside
 everything was confusion, latent anxiety.
Liara approached silently, the tension in the air palpable. She didn’t say anything, but her fist was so tightly clenched that her knuckles were turning white. Camille could feel the anger, the fury radiating from her partner, but also something more. A doubt, a protective instinct turning into almost ferocious fever. She wasn’t letting anyone touch what was hers. Especially not now that she had gotten it back. Her love

Miranda then stepped forward, her datapad in hand, her expression focused, but also worried. “This ship was cloaked. Illegal tech, probably stolen from Cerberus given the style, I recognize the serial numbers. They haven’t been used in decades.”
Jack, stepping away from the wall she had been leaning against, added, her gaze hard, almost threatening:
“I swear, if anyone thinks you ‘belong’ to them, Shepard, I’m going to give them such a biotic shock that they’ll piss plasma.”
But Shepard didn’t move. Her mind was on alert. Her muscles were tense, her gaze cold. Her face remained impassive, despite the storm raging within her. She was ready. It had to be.
Her gaze met Liara’s. She perhaps expected an immediate response, a gesture, a word
But the Commander said nothing at first. She simply walked toward the one she loved, slowly, without rushing. She didn’t touch her hand, didn’t kiss her lips. She simply held her gaze. Completely. Fully. Asari, Broker, her lover, her protector, her everything. Liara understood without her needing to speak. In the silence, Camille let everything she felt be transmitted through her gaze, her energy. I am yours, no one will take me. I promise. And I am no one’s prey.
Then, finally, looking at the others, the Commander declared, calm and firm, sharp as a sniper’s bullet: “Let her try. I’m stronger than she thinks. And I have all of you.” A shiver of pride ran through the crew. A murmur of approval rose among them.
Jack slowly nodded, a carnivorous smile on her lips. “That’s my damn Commander.”
Miranda placed a hand on the table, determined. “Jack and I can find the maker of the ship.”
Garrus, in a corner of the bridge, adjusted his rifle nonchalantly. “Tali and I will start scanning the paths it took before and after the Citadel. This ship left breadcrumbs. We’ll follow them.”
Liara still didn’t say anything. But her fingers lightly brushed Shepard’s. A simple touch, light but so full of meaning. She remained there, by her side, saying nothing, just being present. There were two certainties Camille could have at that moment: Liara knew her, and she would be there. Always.

The Citadel had changed so much since the last time Camille Shepard had looked upon it. Was it a year ago, a year and a half? Perhaps even more. She wasn't sure anymore. The station’s reconstruction was in full swing, but the recent memory of the Reapers still lingered, hidden beneath the walls, in the cracks of the old structures, in the minds of the survivors. The traces of war were slowly fading, replaced by new infrastructures, lively neighborhoods where people walked by, exchanging smiles and glances. But some parts of the station still bore the weight of that recent past, a trauma that could never truly fade.
Camille stood there, before the bay window of the apartment, gazing at the nightly spectacle of the Citadel. The station stood majestically, the neon lights brushing the angles of the metal structures, illuminating the artificial night. The lights from the traffic, bright and alive, reflected off the glass like stars suspended in the vastness of space. The distant whistle of passing skycars could be heard. It was a magnificent sight, a dance of colors and shapes, a serene calmness almost unreal after everything she had lived through.
Yet, in her mind, in her dreams and nightmares, Camille couldn’t escape the memories. The scars left on her body were as present as those marking the station. The Reaper war had not only destroyed the Citadel but her body and, at times, her spirit. After the explosion of the Catalyst and the defeat of the Reapers, she had been found in an almost irreparable state. Burned, shattered, a mere heap of dying flesh, barely breathing in the ashes of her own victory. It had taken months to repair the damage, to give her body back its form. Two months of unconsciousness before her eyes finally opened. Liara, her partner, had been there by her side, patient, faithful, her guardian angel. Was this going to become a habit in their relationship? That Liara would bring her back from the brink of death. How many times had their friends risked their lives for her? How many times had the love of her life pulled her from her grim fate? Too many, probably.
She sighed. It wasn’t easy to be so vulnerable. She didn’t like seeing herself like this, broken, but there were moments when her body refused to ignore the injuries. Her left shoulder, for example, still left a dull pain, an indelible reminder of the war, the explosion, and everything that followed. The bad dreams still sometimes haunted her, and she couldn’t fully push them away. The faces of the fallen: Ashley, Mordin, Thane, Anderson
she had witnessed their last moments. Anderson had been with her when she pulled the trigger, right?
Since leaving the clinic three months ago, Camille and Liara had taken refuge in the apartment of her late superior, the one he had left to her. They had moved here, far from the battlefields, to this quieter place. But peace wasn’t easy to accept. Camille had refused to return to her military post. Too many scars, too many ghosts. Her sniper rifle was tucked away in a closet, her N7 armor as well, now covered in dust. Far from the soldier she once was, she was learning to live differently, to appreciate tranquility, which wasn’t easy for Commander Shepard, accustomed to emergencies, military protocols, and early morning wake-ups with everything in perfect order...
She straightened slowly, scanning the station from the window one last time, the vibrant lights and fascinating hues of the Citadel. Lately, she had found herself savoring small, simple things, pleasures that the war had stolen from her. The morning coffee shared with Liara. The silences, those moments when no words were necessary. The nights full of warmth, of caresses, of shared breaths in a newly rediscovered intimacy, after months of forced separation. Camille had had to relearn her body, to accept it, despite the scars that, even after surgery, remained, testimonies of a time of suffering and sacrifice. But Liara... Liara, always present, faithful, patient, was the one who had the ability to make her vulnerable without shame. Because with her, she wasn’t ashamed, of what she was, or of what she was becoming. Not with Liara.
Liara, who accompanied her to rehabilitation sessions, day after day. Her Asari partner kept a watchful eye on her progress with unshakable tenderness, sometimes a little too much, Camille would think with a playful smile. But Liara had this way of caring for her, with an imperious softness, sometimes impatient when Camille, in rehab, tried to push the pace. Liara was afraid, of course, though she never expressed it. But it showed in every gesture, every look... the fear of losing her was felt at every moment, and Shepard couldn’t blame her for that.
The Citadel was beautiful that night, and Camille found herself appreciating the view. The lights, the reflections, the colors, all of it felt so far from the war, so far from the battles. These little things in life, these simple moments, which she had never taken the time to savor before. Always on the frontlines, always running from one fight to the next.
Suddenly, arms wrapped around her from behind, and warm lips kissed her tenderly behind her ear. Camille shivered at the contact.
“Dreaming, Commander Shepard?” Liara’s voice was soft but laced with mischief. “Here’s a moment when I worry about seeing you so distracted. Is it the wine I served you tonight that’s clouding your senses?”
Camille’s laugh echoed softly in the room as she turned in Liara’s arms, finding that familiar warmth, that intimate cocoon. “It was very good wine, Liara, but not enough to get me drunk. I have the tenacity of a Krogan in that regard.”
Liara teased her, raising an eyebrow. “Yes, yes, of course. I clearly remember the last time you danced on the table after two glasses.”
“Hey, it was Turian alcohol! It doesn’t have the same effect on humans.”
“Excuses, of course!” Liara laughed, her nose brushing against Camille’s, their faces bathed in the soft light filtering through the windows, the stars in the distance stretching out into the cosmic void. The Citadel behind them, a little blurry, a little magical. But their intimate moment was suddenly interrupted.
The soft beep of Liara’s omnitech broke the silence. Glyph, the drone, appeared in the doorway, its electronic hum shattering the quiet of the moment.
“Doctor T'Soni, an unsolicited delivery has arrived for Commander Shepard. No note, no identification.”
Liara slowly pulled away from Camille, a shiver of worry crossing her gaze. Her smile faded in an instant, replaced by an expression of vigilance.
“I’ll go down. You stay here.”
Camille rolled her eyes, raising an eyebrow, a teasing smile on her lips. “Yes, mom!” she joked, amused, but there was tenderness in her voice. Liara grabbed her omnitech, and before leaving, shot her a serious look.
“Seriously, Camille, stay here.”
Camille watched her disappear down the hall, her heart speeding up imperceptibly. It wasn’t fear, not yet. But tension, a vague premonition, a small alert in her gut that she couldn’t ignore.
Minutes passed. Too much silence. Then, a flicker on her omnitech caught her attention. A message. Encrypted. Unknown. And signed... M.
“You can hide all you want, Shepard. You can try to heal. But legends never disappear. They’re collected. And soon, you’ll join the others.”
Camille’s blood froze instantly. She frowned, her hands resting on the omnitech, her fingers moving with military precision. This message... something wasn’t right. She didn’t let herself be overwhelmed by the shock, but instinct, that same instinct that had allowed her to survive the most extreme situations, kicked in immediately. She activated a trace on the omnitech. The Spectre network... it should’ve been deactivated since she “retired.” But somehow, there was still access somewhere. Thanks to the Shadow Broker? (aka her favorite Asari?) Thanks to Hackett? The Council? She wasn’t sure, and honestly, it didn’t matter.
The trace results were conclusive: it was impossible to pinpoint the exact location. The transmission relay was very close, on the Citadel.
Before she could investigate further, Liara returned, her face tense, holding a small dark box in her gloved hands.
“It was just placed there, without a signature. External analysis reveals no biological or chemical threat
”
Liara placed the box on the table and fixed Camille with her gaze, her eyes searching for understanding. “Are you sure you haven’t...”
Her words cut off when she saw Camille’s tense expression. “What’s going on?”
Camille didn’t answer right away, but instead showed her the received message. While the Asari read, Camille’s eyes were fixed on the box. She slowly slid her fingers over the magnetic edges. Carefully, she opened it.
Inside: a figurine. White ceramic. A detailed reproduction of herself, engraved with almost religious precision. The N7 armor. The scars. The eyes. Everything. And beneath it... a black rose. Thorned. Deadly.
Camille brought her thumb to her mouth, murmuring a small “ouch” as it brushed against a thorn. Blood began to trickle onto her skin.
She looked up at Liara. The Asari didn’t speak immediately, but her gaze, burning with controlled fire, said it all. Finally, she picked up the box and set it aside, far from any reach, as if it were a direct threat to Shepard and she wanted to distance it from her.
“He... or she... is tracking you. They know where you are. They want you to know they’re watching you.”
A heavy silence settled, then Liara, without trembling, whispered in a firmer voice:
“No one will touch you, do you hear me? No one. You’ve already been ripped from me too many times. I won’t let it happen again.”
She stood up, transforming into the brilliant strategist she was, manipulating the apartment's security systems with deadly efficiency. Camille watched, fascinated, as this woman carried such strength within her. Deep down, she knew that if she ever fell, it would be Liara who would save her. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Their Eternity

———————————————————————
Chapter 1 : Alive.
Warnings : injuries, hospital, comatose.
Tumblr media
The nil. The black silence surronding her is deafening, too heavy. Is that it ? Death ? It’s not that bad. Peace. It’s been too long since she has experienced it. Has she ever knew that calm before ? No. Until now all was chaos, cries, suffering and war. Right now all of it is over ! Finally ! But something is missing in this tranquility. A pair of piercing blue eyes embracing her soul. A mind touching her own, a heart melting with her pulse, a voice calming her cries. A smell enchanting all her senses. A lover who is her everything. Her lover. Her world. Liara.
Alive
It’s painful to be alive, she thinks. Maybe maybe it’s better not to be. This agony is unbearrable, it would be worth it if

« By the Goddess Shepard ! »
There it is. The voice that she is craving for. Her voice. Liara
but she is still not here, or too far to be reach. She wants to touch her, even if all she can see is black, all she can touch is the ashes beyond her fingers, or what it left of her fingers. She is hearing them tough. The cries of her lover.
« Please don’t go ! Stay with me, be strong my love ! I need you  »
I am here, She wants to say. I am here, I don’t leave you and I won’t leave you. I am
alive.
God yes she is in too much pain to be dead for sure.
« Doctor Tsoni, you have to stay away, we need to operate her
please let us do our job. »
« It’s okay Liara. They got her
we have found her. She is here. They got her. »
« I don’t know if I can Garrus
 i can’t stand losing her again. »
« I know  »
And then again, the blackout.

It’s a constant bip that wakes her up. The pain is still here, less virulant, but still irrading her whole being. Then she feels it, fingers interlaced with hers. Slowly, she opens her eyes. Blinded with the bright light she doesn’t discern where she is first, however she saw the blue figure across the white of the walls.
« Shepard ! »
« Liara  » she says with a sore voice as she tries to reach her lover’s cheek with her finger, but she can’t move, she is too weak.
« Shhh don’t move my love. You are still badly wounded. »
« What
what happened. The reaper ? Are they ? »
« You did it honey. They are gone. You did it. You won.»
Liara squeezes her hand, her eyes are wet with tears. Happy tears. But Shepard reads more in them : fear, sadness, relief, love. All these emotions the asari went through during past hours, days, months ? For how long has she been in comatose ? She doesn’t know. Shepard can say she is badly injured. The concern she has also read in Liara’s eyes says enough.
« How bad is it ? » she dares do ask.
Liara doesn’t answer first, she seems to hesitate, or to compose herself maybe. But the commandant deserves to know and Liara must think the same because she then tells : « You’ve been burnt. All of your body was calcined, thanksfully the surgery did well. But
until you are up, we don’t know if you can walk again. Your spinal column has been injured
The doctors aren’t sure. »
Shepard process the terrible information. Is that why she is unable to move her hand ? What will she become if she can’t

Liara caresses her cheek with her thumb.
« It will be okay I promise
we will get through this together. You are a hero. My hero. You will win this battle too. »
Shepard looks at her. God ! how much she loves Liara ! Her soulmate. Her whole universe. She is her rock. She always manages to comfort her to support her. She is indredible. Even in the most dark of the darkness she is the light that guides her soul and heart. How can she be so lucky ?
«  I know i will win. You know why ? »
« Because you are my stubborn sexy commander ? »
The human chuccles. : «  Well sexy
not with all the scars. » Then she looks at her bondmate in her eyes to say : « No, because you are with me. The love of my life. I want to be with you. I want to cherish you, marry you, and have plenty of blue babbies with you and  »
She is cut by Liara’lips on hers. Their kiss is soft but passionate. The asari puts all her sadness all the pain she has been through, all the anger she felt against this world which can’t let her lover alone and in peace, which lets Shepard get hurt, get almost killed again, wich has almost take her away from her again. She puts all her love in that kiss, all her joy to have Shepard at her sides. Then, when they can’t breathe anymore, they separate, but still have their forhead together, eyes close.
« I thought you were dead. »
« I know
 but I’m here. I won’t leave you. »
« I remember you promised that before. » says Liara with a poor smile.
« And ? I didn’t leave you, did I ? »
« you’re right. You came back the first time. »
The door opens and few people enter in the bright room. Shepard hears them before she sees them. The strong path of a Krogan, and a breath throug a Quarian mask.
« Shepard ! You are awake ! » says the technicist. « I knew you would make it ! »
« You did better than a Krogan would do ! And that’s a thing ! » Wrex chuckles as he punches gently shepard’s shoulder, althought she winces.
« Careful Wrex ! » Says Liara, putting a protecting hand on her lover’s arms, as if it could stop the pain. If she would be honest, the commander thinks it helped. « She is still weak. »
« Nosense ! » replies the Krogan « Shepard will never be weak. Her strenght is so present that she could be a krogan! »
« Yeah, but I think she would be prettier as a krogan. » remarks Garrus « with all the scars you got, Shepard, you could have many suitors on Tutchenka. »
The commander laughs a little, coughs, winced and then says : « Ladies love scars. Do I look so bad ? »
« Not as bad as usual. » responds the Turrian with a smirk. That’s what she has answered him, when he has been shot on Omega.
« You’ll always be my beautiful commander. » says Liara with a loving smile. « And it’s true : ladies love scars and I love you. »
« I love you too Liara. »
They sink into each other’s eyes perfectly, the green and the blue. The water and the tree. Liara was her ocean of harmony, of peace and love. Shepard was Liara ®s bark. They could spend eternity there, in each other’s soul. How bad the commander wanted to embrace eternity with the asari right now

« I think we should let Shepard rest. » declares Tali with a smile in her voice. She seems to be far away from the space Liara and her have created, the commander don’t even catch the words, she is too blissed by her lover’s eyes. She doesn’t even see the others leave the room. Then she closes her eyes as the Asari caresses her face.
« Rest my love. I am watching you. You are going to get through this. WE are going to get you through this, I promise. »
And Shepard believes her. Nothing bad could happen, in her boundmatés embrace.

———————————————————————
Tumblr media
You woke up at a very unpleasant noise which was surronding you completly as if you were attacked by it. Then something worst rose in you : the pain in your shoulder. You opened your eyes and winced as the ache increased and your vision went clearer, the light dazzled you.
"(Y/N) !"
A figure came at your vision, due to the blind caused by the very bright light of the room it took you a few seconds to recognize the woman beside you. Her red shorted hair, her worrying stare.
"Alex ?"
Your sister had been crying. You could tell because she had got red puffy eyes. You remembered the shot, Lena's voice, her hands on your shoulder. So you were'nt dead ? Or maybe you were and Alex was crying upon your dead body ?
"How bad is it ?" you aksed with a raspy voice. You could speak ! You weren't dead yet it seemed.
"What ?" Alex watched you confuse
"You were crying... am I gonna die or something ?"
Jeez ! the pain killers, they gave you, weren't strong enough to kill the pain but were powerful enough to get you high. Science was puzzling sometimes. Your sister chuckled, voice full of emotion.
"No ! no babygirl you're not going to die. I was crying because I thought i was going to lose you tonight. I'm glad you're okay."
She took your hand in hers and kissed it.
"How's Lena ?" You asked.
"She's fine. She got some bruises, but nothing too serious. She was not allowed to enter here. Only family..."
"But she IS family. You know Alex I love her. She is, she is wonderful. She saved me and i love her."
Alex went silence and looked at you carefully. You could say she was deeply in her thoughts and you were afrait that she wouldn’t approve your feelings towards Lena. Then she said :
« That’s why you have been acting weirdly recently, is it ? »
« Yes
I thought she wouldn’t like me back, she is older, smarter and she is also Kara ÂŽ s best friend. And she is soooo sexy »
Yep, you were high, but your sister didn’t make any comment about your last assertion.
Alex took your hands in hers, squeezing them.
« (Y/N) you are the smartest person I know and i am not kidding ! Plus you are not a kid anymore, even if it’s hard for me to watch you grow up into a beautiful woman, you can date or be with anyone you want. And if Lena makes you happy, don’t think about it twice. We only live once. »
You smiled at your sister, eyes full of happy tears. Her words meant everything to you. You were about to thank her, when the door abruptly opened and a wind blonded storm rushed over you.
« Oh my god you are awake ! »
You were taken in a tighed embrace by Supergirl who didn’t seem to want to let you go.
« Kar’
 you
 are crushing
 me. »
« Oh ! » she pushed herself back « sorry babes
didn’t want to hurt you. »
« It’s okay, you probably broke my ribs but with these amazing painkillers, I will forget about it in a minute or two. »
« She is high. » explained Alex to the blond.
« Yeah I can see that. Babygirl ? »
« Yes my favorite sister ? »
« Hey ! Why is she your favorite ??? » Alex was shocked.
« Because
she is blond and she is smelling like cookies. »
« That’s discrimination ! Fortunatly I know you are too dazzed to really think what you are saying. »
« No actually she is right : I am smelling like cookies because I brought you some, but I was hungry so maybe I ate one or two
or five, on my way
 there they are anyway. »
Kara gave you a little bag where a single cookie were packed.
« Are you serious. » whispered Alex at the superhereo
« What ? I was hungry ! »
« That’s so sweet of you Kara ! » you cried and overreacted too smitten by the attention and too high.
« See ? She is happy ! »
« You two will be the dead of me one day. » said the eldest rubbing her eyes.
Then a cough interrupted your conversation. The three of you turned to see Lena at the doorway.
« Sorry, am I interrupting some family reunion ? »
« No, you are a part of it. » responded Kara. « We will
leave you two alone. I believe you have many things to say to each other. »
Kara gave you a kissed on your cheek while Alex squeezed your hand. Then she left Lena and you alone in the room.
« How did you managed to enter, I thought the doctors didn’t consider you as my family. »
« Well, I have my secrets. » she responded with a wink. « Plus, I couldn’t bare to leave you here, alone, and injured. »
This made you shudder and blush as she approached you. You felt her sit on the edge of your bed, you smelt her perfume as she leaned to kiss your forehead.
« I thought you were dead. » The brunette whispered. « I saw the gunshot I
I thought I would never be able to see you again. » her voice was trembling, and you took one of her hand.
« I’m here. Alive. Thanks to you. Aaand maybe thanks to the doctor but, that’s a detail ! »
She laughed. The most beautiful sound you had ever heard on earth.
« How are you feeling ? » Lena asked, worry still painted on her face.
« Well, my shoulder is probably aching but I don’t care, because of the painkillers. They are magic ! It is like, everything could happen, and I dont care» you said.
« Yeah that’s the effect of the morphin  » she smiled.
« Nah ! That’s because of you. Of thanks to you. You are too stunning, like an angel, so the pain doesn’t matter anymore. »
« Jeez, they must have gave you a strong dose ! » but she blushed at your compliment.
« Lena, I may be high, but I am sincere. You are an angel to me. I don’t know why i haven’t told you sooner, maybe it’s because i am a jerk, but I
I have a crush on you. No it is more than that : I love you. You may think it’s too soon to tell or  »
She ushed you with a finger on your lips.
« Darling, you need to breathe. »
« Why the hell are you interupting my love confession like this !? It is mean. » you sulked.
She caressed your cheek with her finger and then poke your nose as she spoke.
« Because, you are not in your normal state and your words are seducing me and I want to kiss you so bad, I may not be able to contain myself if you continue. »
You looked at her in disbelief. She wanted to kiss you ? Of god, you were dreaming right ? And in your state you were persuaded that her kiss was able to heal you. Her lips were just few centimeters away and you couldn’t reach them, since you were unable to move. How frustrating !
« But that’s THE reason I should continue ! I want you to kiss me. »
Where this confident was from ? In your normal state you would never dare to say things like it ! You shyness were too strong. But at the moment, nothing mattered.
« No, love. As i said : You are not in a normal state and kissing you right now wouldn’t be appropriate since you can’t give me properly your consent. »
You were stunned. Lena was so caring. She was perfect. And you wanted so badly that she could kiss you right know.
« But I have a proposition. Why don’t we discuss about all of this : what you are feeling about me, what I am feeling about you, us, around a dinner, when you’ll be out of the hospital. » she said.
« It would be my pleasure. »
« Great ! Now rest darling, I am watching you, no more bad guys will ever hurt you again. »
You closed you eyed, surronded by Lena. Her perfume, her aura, the music of her soul. You were at home.

It's our dance
Summary : Blake and Yang's first time on the island.
Warning : SMUT +18
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
————————————————————-
« Where's Yang ?" Asked Blake as she had returned from hunting some food with Ruby.
Weiss turned her head to them and said : "She wanted to take a bath in the ocean."
"Alone ?" responded Ruby with concern.
"Yes obviously as i'm here to watch our stuff." said Weiss sarcastically, rolling her eyes.
The younger woman argued : "Well excuse me ! She could be with...."
"With WHO ? Your imaginary friend ?"
"You..."
"Calm down ladies ! Don't fight, that's the last thing we need right now." interrupted Blake who tried to temporize her two friends.
Weiss snorted and crossed her arms on her chest "Oh and may I know when is the right time to fight then Blake ?"
"What ?"
"You said..."
"I know what I said, it's just a way of speaking ! Now relax, we are going to rest here for the night, it will benefit us for sure"
Weiss didn't respond. They were all exhausted, the Schnee maybe more than the others, her glyphs provided them some shade as they walked under the sun all day. That was the reason she was so susceptible and edgy.
Blake noticed that Weiss was holding a towel in her hands, she asked : "Do you plan to bath too ?"
"What ? Oh, no ! Yang has just forgotten that, so I had planned to go give it to her as soon as you would return."
"I'll go." said the faunus
"As you wish. Ruby can you help me cook these... what is this strange animal you've hunted ?"
"Don't know, seems like a rabbit, but with 4 eyes..." responded the youngest.
Blake didn't hear the rest of the conversation. She was on her way to give her lover the towel she had forgotten. Her lover This title sounded marvellous as she thought about it. She and Yang had confessed their love for each other just a few days ago although they loved each other for a longer time than this. Blake didn't know when she had fallen for the blond, but she did know when she figured out how she felt about her : When they had been separated. When Yang had struggled with her post traumatic stress disorder, had learnt to use her new arm, when Blake had returned to Menagerie. Oh gods how she had missed her ! and how she had been worried about her. But now, now they were all together again, not only Yang and herself but also the team RWBY. They knew it by now : they were stronger when they formed a group, united.
She heard the waves's sound before she saw them. Her hearing sense was very developped but that hasn't helped her to be surprised to see Yang in front of her eyes, emerging from water, some ocean drop all over her body, her NAKED body. Blake blushed hard, extremly flustered and surprised, although she could've anticipated it since Yang needed to be naked to take a bath, OF COURSE.
The blond however didn't seem to be ashamed or embarrased by her current stade. When she saw her partner she wave at her with her valid hand, her proteshetics arm on the floor with her clothes : "Hey Blake." and she ran to her to grab the towel. "Oh thanks for the towel, I didn't want to dressed myself as i'm still wet, it's not good for the health's skin." She took the cloth and began to dry herself unaware of the state Blake was in.
The faunus was paralyzed feeling awkward and simultaneously stunned by the vision her love gave her. Gods she is beautiful !
"How's the hunt going ?" asked Yang after she had wrapped herself in the towel.
Blake didn't respond too flustered and amazed by the scene she had just witnessed.
"Blake ? Love ?"
"uh what ? oh yes very fine ! We hunted a rabbit... sort of."
"Are you alright ?" asked Yang with concern.
"Y... yes ! Don't worry, it's just it's hot here don't you think ?" She was as red as Ruby's cape.
"Do you want to bath ? The water is great !"
"No, no thank you, i'm not very fond of bathing."
Yang smirked as she understood what her girlfriend meant by that.
"I get it, the kitten doesn't like water i see."
"What ? No ! I take shower you know !"
"No way ! And I thought you were licking yourself !" responded the blond, a teasing smile dancing on her lips.
Blake faked to be offended and chased her girlfriend as she began to run to escape the imminent danger Blake represented now she had made fun of her. But the brunette was faster, her agility more effective than strenght on the sand and she jumped on Yang. They both laughed as they ended up on the floor of the beach besides Yang's clothing and faked arm. The sun had begun to go down, the light it darted to them was magnificent. A moment of peace in the chaos they were in. Blake, on top of the blond, stopped laughing, drowning herself deep into the purple gaze of her lover. Their closeness was intoxicating and yet comforting. She could feel the shape of Yang's body beneath the towel, the only barrier that kept the promise of the heaven. Blushing again, but with lust this time, the brunette kissed Yang on the lips. The blond answered it with tenderness and love. The time has stopped as everytime they shared a kiss or a hand brush. These little touches were their peace, their own world where they could let their love and passion express themself purely et truely.
"Does it hurt ?" asked Blake, skiming Yang stump, just upward her elbow.
"Sometimes" the blond admitted "When i don't have the prosthesis, it feels odd, as if my arm's still here."
Blake whatched her with compassion and love as she took the fake arm and started to put it on Yang's stump, slowly and tenderly careful to not hurt the love of her life. She knew it, it was her fault... no ! not her fault ! Adam’s fault ! Yang touches her cheek with her valid hand, as if she understood the struggle Blake was facing.
"I love you" whispered Yang, lips close to Blake's.
"I love you too."
They kissed again slowly, letting the passion grow between them. Yang requested the path between Blake's lips with her tongue, path that the brunette gladly allowed. A dance occured in Blake's mouth and she moaned as Yang nibbled her lip.
"Yang." whispered the faunus.
"Yes ?" asked the blond huskily.
"Here ? Now ?"
Yang stopped herself and watched her girlfriend seriously.
"Only if you want it."
"I want it !" Said Blake more certain that she ever was of something before. "But... i'm scared that i won't be... that i won't be the best partner, that i won't do the right thing and..."
Yang ushed her with a kiss.
"Do you remember our dance ? At the beacon's ball ?" Blake nodded. "it's not as different as a dance." she entwined her fingers with Blake's "It's quite alike you know. I can show you how to follow the music of love... if you allow me."
"Yes i do."
Yang pushed her lover gently the way the brunette straddle her, then she put her hands on Blake's waist. Her fingers were cold, due to the recent bath she had taken earlier, and her metal hand. The brunette shivered at this contact. Then the blond move her hands on the back of her lover, slowly, as if the faunus was just a piece of art that she had to workship and love. And that's exactly how she saw Blake, her most valuable treasure. She was close to take out the brunette's top, but before she asked for her consent with a single look. Blake nodded almost panting with lust and anticipation.
Yang let the cloth on their side, admiring Blake's upper body, naked under her gaze.
"You're magnificent..." she whispered, taking one breast in her left hand. She caressed it tenderly, taking her time as her other hand touched Blake's hip. With delicacy she carressed with her thumb the erect nipple causing Blake to hold a breath, supressing a moan that died in her throat.
"Don't hold back love, this is the music we can dance with."
"Y...Yang." moaned the faunus, biting her lip as her lover was tormenting her with her little brushes. "I need..."
Yang, with mercy, supporting herself on her elbow, took the little bud in her mouth. Blake moaned loudly with gratitude, she coudln't bare any more teasing. Her body was on fire. The blonde ÂŽs other hand rose on her other breast inflicting the same treatment. The brunette was driving crazy. Never had she imagined this could be this pleasurable, this... this fantastic. Yang was doing wonders, only with her mouth and fingers. She nearly screamed when her girlfriend nibbled her nipple, then licked it with the tip of her tongue, slowly at first, doing circle.
"Ah... Y...Yang it's..."
Yang stopped herself worried she had hurt her.
"You're okay ?" She asked.
"Yes! Yes ! Please continue ! It's just, it feels wonderful."
Her girlfriend smiled, proud to herself that she was able to provide her such pleasure. Yang resumed her work going on the other breast and nipple with her mouth. This time she sped her movements with her toungue generating moanings and small cries from the brunette who couldn't hold herself. She was litteraly dying from her touch. What Yang was doing to her was a pure bliss, she was in heaven and yet so close to the sin. But she needed more, her body wanted more, more of this torture, more of Yang on her, more more more. Her panties went wetter and wetter as every licking the blond gave to her nipple, she was feeling the hot breath on it, it was driving her crazy. Yang seemed to understand her torment and stopped to ask.
"Can I remove your pants, please ?"
The question was useless. OF COURSE ! Blake craved for her touch, wanted Yang to ravish her, to possess each part of her body. With clumsy gestures, Blake helped Yang to toss away her cloth causing her to be only on her panties, she was standing, still straddling her though. Yang looked at her with amazed eyes. Then she gently touched her pussy through her undergarments up and down along her entrance. Blake closed her eyes, a small whimper crossed her lips as her mouth was open in bliss.
She heard her love : "As I said : like a dance, I follow your rythm, the music that comes off your beautiful mouth is my conductor. You're my partner, i follow your move, your feelings, and your boundaries. Can i take these off ?"
Blake opened her eyes to see Yang looking at her, hands on her hips, just ready to remove her panties.
"Yes." she murmured "yes please !"
Then, she watched with anticipation, the blond delicatly getting rid of the last piece of her clothing. She was now fully naked before her. She deflected her gaze, too embarrassed to see what she could read in her girlfriend's mind.
"Blake..." whispered Yang "You are so beautiful, and the word doesn't do you justice."
Blake returned her gaze at her lover and smiled, tears in her eyes, greatful.
"I want to eat you out." Suddenly said Yang, eager to taste her lover, eager to taste the wonder promised by this magnificent view. "Please..." she was almost begging Blake. "Sit on my face, if you're okay with it of course. Do you want that ? I can do whatever you want"
Blake nodded, amazed by how Yang always asked for her consent and her pleasure. It was new to her : "Yes, I trust you. I want you. I want you to devour me, I want you to possess me, i'm all yours, body an soul."
"And i'm yours". responded the blond.
Then Blake sat up on Yang's face, she watched as her girlfriend put her hands on her thights, caressing the sensitive skin there. She moaned at the sensation and at the sight of her lover between her legs, that's when she felt Yang's tongue lick her clit, a long lick. The moaned changed to a weak scream. She closed her eyes again
"Holly shit !"
She was unable to hold herself. Yang's tongue was magic, she licked her folds with passion up and down. She also felt her partner breath on her pussy. This was too much for Blake, she was insane ! Lost in lust and pleasure as the blond's mouth ravished her. "You're so wet." praised Yang with tender in her voice.
"A...a... that's all for you baby."
"I hope so !"
"a... I... oh my god !" Her girlfriend just took her clit in her mouth, sucking it. "Y...Yan... Yang !" This brought her waves of pleasure as if electricity was running in all her core. The sucking was replaced with another lap, then another. The tongue was devoring her. Then another move made her scream in pleasure : She felt Yang's finger on her nipples. Unable to control herself, she grabbed Yang scalp and hanged on on it. Yang moaned in her cunt at the feelings of Blake ÂŽs fingers grabbing roughly on her skull. This encouraged her to speed up her movement with her tongue, she penetrated it in Blake's folds applying pressure on her walls, the reaction was expected : She jolted with pleasure. She continued this in a rougher rythm, the music done by her girlfriend ÂŽs mouth was divine to hear. She alternated this movement, the sucking on her clit, the licking and still caressed her nipples. She knew Blake was close to her orgasm, she could feel it.
"Yang ! I.. I'm close, please... d... d... don't stop !"
Yang obeyed with joy, all she wanted was to make her lover come, so she sped up again the move, moaning at her girlfriend taste and smell. Then it happened.
"YANG !" Screamed Blake as she came hard, all of her muscles trembled, her walls clenched and her juices recovered Yang's mouth and nose. This was it : the climax of the dance, the embrass of ectasy. If Yang hadn't suit herself to catch her, Blake would have collapsed on the floor. But her lover wanted to hug her, the goddess she had just ate out deserved more than the floor to recover from her bliss.
She let her catch her breath and slowing her heartbeat, caressing her back, kissing her shoulder and jaw.
"Are you alright ?" She ended up asking.
"Are you kidding ? I'm better than alright ! I'm... Gods Yang you're incredible !"
"I know." said the blond with a smug smile on her face. Blake poked her.
"Silly." She chuckled "How can i rival with you !?"
"You are not forced t..."
Blake interrupted her : "I want to. I want to make you mine, I want everyone to know that I succeed to make Yang Xiao Long come undone my touch."
Yang whimpered at her words. God, she didn't know her partner could turned her on more than she was now justem with words, but she was wrong.
"Okay..." she whispered.
Blake bend to kiss her. The brunette felt strange to taste herself on her girlfriend's lips but she liked it. It was like a proof she was hers and only hers.
"What do you want, say it to me." she asked.
"I... whatever you want to do. I'm fine wi...."
"No. You what do YOU want. That's about you baby. I want to please you."
Yang blushed. She hadn't thought of it. Because all of she wanted was here, she wanted Blake everywhere on her. Just Blake and only Blake, her skin against her skin, her lips, her fingers, her heartbeat synchronized with her.
"I want your mouth on my clit, and your fingers in me... if you're comfortable to do it."
Blake smiled. "It would be my pleasure."
Then she kissed the blond with passion requesting path with her tongue. Yang let her, happy to feel their tongue dancing together. She moaned at the kiss. Then Blake opened the towel revealing Yang's naked body that she already had a glimpse earlier. She traced the shape of her form, her ribs, her navel, her belly, her abs so tempting, she even kissed them, elicting a moan from the blond.
"You are stunning Yang."
The concerned didn"t respond, savoring the torture her girlfriend was doing to her. Then she felt the slim fingers touch her breast and she let out a long moan of pleasure. Then Blake withdrew her hands, just brushed her skin, tormenting her more, with a teasing smile on her lips.
"Blake please, don't tease, I want you down there..."
"Is that so ?"
"Blaaake !"
She chuckled, but as she looked at her love, she saw the illness of desire in her eyes, she was panting, sweating, arching her back to gain more touch, more sensation. Blake wasn't a cruel person and she wanted to make Yang come so badly, she obliged herself to go down on her.
Arrived just above the blond’s pussy she touched it with a finger, caressing the sensitive lips, familiaring herself with this forbidden fruit that she was going to claim.
"B... Blake." moaned Yang.
Then she hold a breath when the brunette enter a finger slowly. They moaned in unison. Yang because of the pleasure this conquerant finger provided to her, and Blake because of the sensation of this hot wet treasure around her finger. She wanted more. She wanted to eat it, this was juicy, appealing. Without more wait, she put her mouth on it. She's delicious more than she ever imagined. Of course she already had been fantazing about Yang, how could it not be ? She was so sexy, so pure, so herself ! And her pussy was... gods she hadn't got any word to describe the taste of her lover.
Yang couln't stop moaning as she felt Blake's tongue toy with her clit. Each lick sent her over the edge. Blake's was good, very good at it. And she hadn't move her finger yet ! God Yang was already so close to come. She needed to breathe, but the air was intoxicating.
"Oh my god Blake, you're amazing !"
Blake humed in response, not wanting to detached herself of her lovely task. She was savoring her fruit with eagerness and passion. She loved it. Then she moved slowly her index in her girl folds.
"OH GODS!" The reaction was a pure bliss to hear. Blake smiled in Yang's cunt, happy with the effect she had on her.
She continued her move, speeding up a little bit to the pleasure of Yang who was madly drowning in lust. She was so wet it was obcene. Blake inserted another finger in her partner and the moan Yang gave her as a reward was the best trophy she got tonight.
"Blake please... faster."
She obeyed enjoying each sound made by the love of her life, each taste she discovered on her clit, she was now sucking. The wet noises of her back and forth in her lover's pussy were encouraging her and driving her crazy. She was aroused by it. But that was about Yang now, and she wanted badly to make her come ! to make her quake under her. She increased the speed of her fingers and tongue.
"Oh god ! Blake... i'm going to... don't stop don't stop don't..."
And then, Blake felt Yang tremble as her walls clunched arount her fingers. She tasted her juices with a happy moan as her lover was still trembling, her orgasm seemed to last longer. Then she collapsed back on the floor.
"Oh my... that... i can't... form... any coherent sentence right now."
Blake chuckled going up on Yang's body, droping a kiss at each part of her. Then she kissed her lips tenderly.
"You were wrong." said the faunus.
"About ?" said a still panting Yang.
"About the dance at Beacon ball.
The blond arched an eybrow. Blake added : "It was better a dance."
Her partner smiled and kissed the top of her head.
"You're right. But still it was a dance."
"It was our dance."
..............
"About time !" said Weiss seing the two lovebirds coming back from the beach. "I thought you had drowned !"
"What were you doing ?"asked Ruby.
Yang and Blake looked at each others.
"We were dancing."

———————————————————————-
The sound of the sea, the smell of some flowers and the disgusting taste of sand, that what brought Blake to consciousness. Well... didn't she has to be dead ? She wouldn’t sense anything if she was, right ? With pain she lifted up herself on her knees, unable to move more at this point. Yeah, she was alive. The cries of her muscles told her she was still in the livin' world. The come back to reality was rough and slow. But there's a thought that came to her immediatly as soon as she realised everything.
Yang
The Faunus remembered : the attack Neo shot on Ruby, Yang jumping to protect her sister, then the fall, the terrible fall, Weiss's arms trying to hold her, as Blake tried to jump to catch up her partner. The rage consumming her, tears falling on her cheeks, the feeling of pain. Only pain and rage. She became another person. Ruby falling too, she refused, no, not again, not yang's sister, her beloved one wouldn't forgive her. and she also fell, into chaos.
She suddenly opened her eyes, the pain forgotten, replaced by something deeper, something stronger : hope and something more. Something she hadn't dared to confess sooner. Oh what a mistake it was ! But that wasn't the time. If she was here, Yang probably was too.
Maybe, maybe she is alive.
With all the strenghts her feelings for the blond gave her, Blake rose. Yeah, she knew at this point, she loved her. Of course she loved her ! How couldn't it be ! For the moment she saw Yang fall, regrets came to her as a wave, why hadn't she told her partner how she felt, how she wanted nobody else in her heart, how she was deeply, madly in love with her.
But now, now it had changed, Yang was alive, deeply in her heart, in her soul, the faunus knew she was here somewhere, maybe alone, and lonely. She needed to find her, or die trying.
How long she walked in this unknown world, how long she lost herself materially and in her mind, Blake had no idea. She only got one thought that kept her from becoming crazy : finding Yang. The world which was surrounding her was beautifully dangerous, she knew in her guts. But the black haired woman didn't care. She only repeated one word in her mind : Yang, Yang, Yang, Yang. How long it lasted ? hours ? Days ? The sun didn't move an inch, as if everything was frozen there. For normal people, this world would be scary, but for Blake, this was just a detail, nothing could stop her from her quest.
Her senses were in alert. Her earing was most developped than any other humain, of course since she was a faunus and a cat. That’s why she heard it : a breathing, and then a groan of pain somewhere behind bushes. Her heartbeat stopped for a second... did... had she found her ? She pushed away the little tree and pasted it.
That's when she saw Her : Yang walking on a path a hand on her side. Blake paused, not believing her own eyes.
"Yang..." she whispered.
The blond didn't hear.
Blake seemed to recover her voice and came back from the shock.
"Yang !" she screamed as she ran to her.
The human turned herself at her direction and then opened her eyes in disbielief.
"Blake ? What... ?"
But she didn't have time to end her sentence, the brunette was on her, making the two fell on the floor and then, without any warning, she kissed her. She kissed her as her life depended on that kiss. And, in that kiss were all the love a soul can provide and feel, all the desire, the feelings, the pain, the joy, the laugh, the purity that were between them. Yang was suprised, of course, but she lost herself in that kiss, putting her hand on Blake's neck and tasted her lips with passion, love and hope. Then they separated, not by choice, but because they couln't breath anymore.
"I thought you were dead !" Said the faunus, tears in her eyes, not letting Yang speak. "I... I saw you fall, and then I thought i would not be able to see you again ! My heart broke, I couldn't bare it ! You were dead and you weren't here anymore, and I was dying, dying because i couldn't tell you how much you mean to me, how much i want to be with you, how much my soul and heart crave for yours, how much i love you."
She burried her face in Yang’s neck, smelling her perfume. She felt Yang's hand on her head.
"Shhh, Blake, i'm here... i don't know where, but i'm here. I'm with you. I thought i was dead too to be honest. But then i felt the pain of the injury Neo did to me" Blake started to rebound, but Yang appeased her " nothing serious don't worry, just a simple soreness, or maybe some sprained rib, my aura protected me enough i think. Then i ended up here. And I missed you, I missed you so much Blake. I... love you. I loved you for a long time. Maybe before I realize my feelings for you. But now we're here together, and i promise you I'll never leave you again."
Blake watched her with pure love in her eyes. Then she saw Yang wince in pain.
"Oh my god... did i hurt you ?"
"Yeah a little bit, but that's okay, you’ve already kissed it better." The blond said with a smirk. Blake poked her with amusement in her eyes. Then she kissed her again, with tenderness this time.
"We should probably get the others." Said the brunette.
"What ? You mean Ruby and Weiss are here too !"
"Yeah. I'll explain to you on our way."
"And i thought i was damned to be here forever."
Blake smiled : "I will always find you."

__________________________________________________________
Tumblr media
You woke up with pain accross your entire body and you winced. What happened ? Seconds passed and you remembered : You were with Lena at her office, she almost kissed you and then ....
Flashback
“Put your hands up and don”t move !” screamed one of the men. He was masked you couldn’t see his face, but his voice was clearly threatening. Both were pointing guns towards you and Lena and you could tell they wouldn’t hesitate to use them. Lena seemed to have the same thought because you see her tap discreatly on her phone. She was calling Kara / supergirl.
“What are you doing bitch !” Yelled the taller man.
He rushed foward and slapped her on the face with his gun. You didn”t think twice and jumped on him. Seeing him hurting Lena made you go crazy. You screamed :
“Don’t touch her you asshole !”
And then... the blackout.
End of flashback.
“LENA !” you opened your eyes, ready to search for her when you heard her.
“I’m here (Y/N).”
You realized Lean was behind, her back against yours. You were both tied up.
“Are you okay ?” she asked you with concern.
“I think so... you ?”
“I’m better now i know you’re fine.”
Despite the situation you were, you couldn’t help but felt a shiver at her words.
“What happened ?”
She sighed.
“Apparently we’re at some creepy guys hideout, they took us for some reason, i don”t know why yet, but i will figure this out. They may want me because i’m a Luthor. I’m sorry... i’’m putting you in danger...”
You touched her hands behind your back and said.
“No ! You’re not ! It’s not your fault it’s their ! And they may kidnaped me because of my attached strings with supergirl.”
“Now it’s new...” you heard a voice said. You turned your head to see a man in a black suit at the door. For how long was he here ? Two armed guard were beside him. You presumed he was their boss and the conversation, that occured then, confirmed your impression. He walked up to you and, with a smile, asked.
“Who are you to supergirl ?”
You didn”t respond, didn”t want to bring him satisfaction. You regretted your choice to be silence when he grabbed you by the hair, you winced in pain.
“Let her go !” you felt Lena move with rage behind you, but she didn”t manage to budge an inch. “Let her go or i swear I’ll kill you myself.”
He chuckled.
“That’s cute : the former Lena Luthor has a crush. And i thought you were an icequeen.”
Then he draw back his attention to you.
“You’re gonna tell me you know, i can make you suffer like supergirl made me suffer, but it will be easier for us if you cooperate.”
You make no sound although you were scared as fuck. He was too calm, too composed, he knew what he was doing. Even when he punched you in the face he didn”t flinched. You fall on the floor with a scream. You tasted the blood on your tongue.
“I hate repeating myself dear. So i’m not gonna ask you once more. You don’t tell me, too bad, i’ll kill you and we move on. I just need the luthor here, but if i can keep you alive, you’re my bonus if you’re useful as you’re seems. It’s up to you, to prove to me that i musn”t kill you here and now.”
“Please, don”t kill her...” Lena begged him. “Please, i’ll do whatever you want, please !”
He ignored her. You saw him grabe a gun in his suit and point it to you.
“Let’s count... five... for... three... two...”
“Okay okay ! i will talk ! She’s supergirl’s sister ! Please don”t kill her ! I’m begging you !” Lena was almost crying.
He stopped and watched her with interest.
“Now it seems i can keep you alive then. Thank you Miss Luthor.” He pulled back his gun, but punched you with his foot on the stomach despite the scream Lena gave him.
“That’s for not telling me you were so precious.”
You were running ot ouf breath, but he didn”t care. He added adressing to Lena.
“Miss Luthor i think you will be more cooperative now you saw what i’m capable of. I need you to enter to government system to hack their files about secret opĂ©ration in the City.”
“I can”t do that... i’m not an expert and...”
“Then i can kill both of you beginning with supergirls little sister.”
“NO ! no... i will... help you.”
“Excellent ! I see we’ve come to an agreement ! This will be ready in 30 minutes. I’ll leave you alone til the time has come. Untie them.”
After the guards freed you, they left, locked the door behind them. You immediatly felt Lena’s hands on your face.
“oh my god (Y/N)... what did he do to you.”
“It’s okay.” you managed to say despite the pain. “I can handle a few punch.”
“I may disagree with you darling. You’re bleeding...” She tore a piece of her skirt and applied it to your nose. Her touch was so soft and it helped you with the pain. You liked her skin against yours.
“Why did he kidnap you ?” you asked... “Can’t he find somone else to do this job ?”
“No. I... have acess to this cripted files. legal access i mean and he knows that. I can enter the system without a problem, download the files though, it’s something else, but that’s not my problem. But we have to earn time, once i press de download’s button he’ll probably kill us both.”
“Yeah i figured this too. I hope Kara will find us.” You said with fear in your voice.
“She will. But we have to keep you safe if we want her to catch them, she won”t be alble to to anything if they treaten you.”
“I know.”
“I promise i will protect you (Y/N)... i meant it when i said i loved you. I’ll die for you if i must.”
She was starring at you, locked her eyes with yours and you saw it, the passion, the love you couldn”t believe in earlier. This wasn’t the time but you really wanted to kiss her right now.
“I love you too Lena. I don”t want you to be hurt because of me...”
“Oh baby, i promise it will be fine. We will be fine as long as we keep it togther okay ?”
You nodded and she hugged you hard. You smelt her perfume and it calmed you. You hoped Kara would be there soon because you were scared, scared of loosing Lena, scared of dying too... but it will be okay, she promised to you, right ?
_____________________________________________________________
You were dragged along corridors. Lena was in front of you, two guards with her. No one talked, you felt the tension in the group. They were ready. Ready to do their task, to kill...
Time was flying and no Kara to be seen. Shit.
After 10 minutes you entered a large room with a giant glass window offering a great view of the city. It would be breathteaking if you weren”t close to be killed by a psychopath. Speaking of...
“Welcome Miss Luthor and Miss Danvers I presume? Since your sister is Supergirl I do my reasearch. Who knew a pair of glaces could do such miracles ! But we’re not here to discuss secret identity, Miss Luthor if you please ?”
Lena was pushed against a computer.
“I need time. it can”t be done as fast as an omelet.”
“You see, i’m a bad cook.” He said with a smile. “Let’s ask Marvin :  Marvin how long it takes to make an omelet ? “
“15 minutes sire.”
“I’ll give you 10, no more or your precious little girlfriend here will see her life ends prematurely.”
You watched Lena give him a death stare but she got to work quickly. After all she promised you. The time was flying, too fast and no supergirl... Lena was earning some minutes, secondes as much as possible,  she didn”t want to put you in danger but you were already. She gave you a look... did she have a plan or something ?
“Time’s over.” finally said the man “Miss Luthor ?”
“Done ! It’s done ! Look..”
He approached the computer with hunger in his eyes.
“Finally !” you heard him whispering. “We dit it...Marv...”
He didn”t finish his sentence, Lena, with a velocity you coudn’t suspect pushed his head against the screen and some of piece of glass and plastic flew away when he broke. She intended to grab his gun during the confusion but he was faster and stronger, he pushed her he pointed it directly to you.
“I didn”t know you knew how to fight Miss Luthor.” said the man with his broken noise.
His men were pointing their gun at Lena.
“A Luthor always know how to fight.” She responded proudly and you were so amazed by her confident. She was incredible, irrestible but what was the point of all of this ? They were all armed, why did she do this ? Well because now the computer was broke and it was impossible to download any files but... he will kill you. He seemed to have the same though because he asked.
“Why such efforts Miss Luthor ? I’m now obliged to kill Miss Danvers and yourself, because you are two embarassing witnesses.”
To your surprise, she smiled.
“Then why all the talking, kill us already.”
The confusion in him didn”t take much, you saw it before you heard it : the shot. You closed your eyes ready to feel the bullet, but... nothing. You heard a : “kling” and then you saw it : a sort of force of field between him and you, it was barely visible. The bullet was on the floor. You undersood : During her fight with the man, Lena throw it in front of you, how she ended up to have this gadget you didn”t know but... it was genius !
“I will kill you !” screamed the man.
“I don”t think so !” You heard behind you.
You saw Kara and then behind her, Alex with all the DEO agents.
“You’re under arrest Charles Hoopers. Put your hands up and it will do you no harm.”
“NO ! NO ! It can”t be !” He was freaking out for the first time. You saw it as in a movie... He left up his arm with his gun, his finger pulled the trigger...
“NO !” You heard yourself screaming.
Pushing yourself between him and Lena, this time, you felt the bullet, a sharp pain in you shoulder as it pasted trough it.. Then it was chaos. You heard screams and gunshots. In a second Lena was on you, hands on your shoudler to stop the bleeding, tears on her cheeks.
“(Y/N) ! Please stay awake, stay with me ! Love please look at me !”
“Lena...” you whispered. “I...”
“Shhh don”t talk baby, please save your strength”
“Lena...” then you passed out.
