Control in Apotheosis is so fascinating.

Rumi and Thanatos both wanting to control fate in their own respective ways: Rumi changing their whole identity to be perceived exactly how they want to be and seeking the world they foresaw because the idea of a future entirely in their control is the most appealing.

Thanatos murdering all the gods to force the future to be the way he wants it to be and ignoring everyone elses opinions in order to do things strictly his way.

And Peter who’s never been in control of anything and doesn’t particularly care too. He goes with what he’s told and minds his business.

Then in the end it’s Peter who’s given total control of everything, Rumi who settles on one unpredictable future in a body they can’t control, and Thanatos who spends the rest of his life peacefully existing without real purpose.
