The audacity of Song Yiting to act like Nan Heng is not a good person???!
Bitch you're the one who drugged him?? He's cleaning up your mess, not even angry, and you dare act like that!
Nan Heng is definitely a fictional character. No real person would be able to stay sane and decent after everyone and their half-sister treats him like a monster when he DIDN'T DO ANYTHING BAD.
I want the original script Nan Heng back. He was in the right! He should kill all these people and rule as the tyrant they claim him to be.

I’ve been ranting to my friends too much lately especially about things they either don’t care about or don’t know much about—so I’m sparing them this one and just screaming it into the void.
There’s one fandom that continues to be so delusional it makes me want to tear my hair out. And yes, I’ll admit I was part of it once. That was back when I thought the upcoming series adaptation wasn’t actually going to happen, and I knew the author was a bigot—but I wrongly believed it was limited to some ignorant tweets. I wasn’t on Twitter, so I didn’t see how deep it really went. I didn’t realise they were actively helping strip trans people of their rights. And yeah, I was wrong for not digging deeper because I wanted to stay blissfully ignorant.
But because I was once just as obsessed, I know how deep it runs—and also how easy it is to move on. The world is full of incredible queer, inclusive stories and fandoms that don’t center bigots. Which is why I need to say this:
You can’t claim to hate the author and everything they stand for while still in 2025 refusing to let go of their work, which is filled with racism, homophobia, transphobia, and antisemitism.
Slapping pride flags and brown skin onto canonically white, straight characters doesn’t actually “stick it to the author.” Sure, the author is petty and obsessed enough that it might annoy them. But it doesn’t hurt them. Because at the end of the day, thanks to the continued obsession with the fandom and the never-ending wave of fanon content, the author remains rich, relevant, and powerful. Powerful enough to fund organizations that harm real-life trans people.
You can’t dedicate your whole platform to this author’s universe making fanart, edits, fics, headcanons, lore deep dives and still pretend it’s harmless. You’re helping keep the fandom alive. And because the fandom is still huge and devoted, there are still theme parks, merch, collector's editions, and now, a new fucking TV series coming (which seems to be trying to do the same thing as the fans do and just stick poc and queer character over the mess the original works is to make it more inclusive while ignoring the very real harm the creator is doing to margenalized comunities).
No matter how diverse or progressive your headcanons are, you’re still talking about their characters. And every time you tag, draw, post, or write about them, you keep the machine going. The author still gets money. The franchise still thrives. And we now know exactly where that money goes.
In the end, it’s about priorities. What matters more: nostalgia and a fandom built around a harmful legacy—or the real marginalized people the author is actively hurting? (And yes, that’s rhetorical. I don’t want anyone defending the books or the fandom to me.) I think I’ve made my stance pretty clear—and honestly, if you’re still part of the fandom in spite of everything, then you’ve made yours pretty clear too.
By the way if you are from the EU:
#fandom#fuck bigots#trans rights are human rights#grow up please#why are you all stuck on this medicore book series when queer chinese novels exist#stop funding hate

Violent men don’t “lose control”
Not ever. The truth is, they’ve never lost control — not once.
You know how I know?
Because they don’t lash out at their boss. Or someone stronger. They don’t “lose control” in public.
They’re not out of control. They’re in control — completely.

isn't it crazy that a woman being gender nonconforming literally just requires her to exist in her own body without making any changes whatsoever. why does the fact that i don't wear makeup and i don't shave and i don't wear a bra have to be some political act. why can't i just fucking exist

People still tend to lump JK Rowling in with the category of ~problematic artists~ and I need everyone to understand that is not the problem with her. She is not comparable to anyone who wrote a piece of fiction you hate, or someone who made rude comments in 2015 and has since learned better.
She is far more like Elon Musk. She is a radicalized person with an extreme amount of social and financial power, and for YEARS she has been using that power to try to influence her government into hurting vulnerable people, on purpose. And she has succeeded. THAT is the problem with her, and THAT is why spending money on her books is so dangerous, not because her books aged badly.
Critiquing her work is fine, of course (I personally was never a fan so I really don’t care) but you NEED to understand that fiction is not the main issue here. And I truly think acting like she’s the same as the rest of any giant list of ~problematic creators of the week~ waters down how dangerous she is.

It starts with control and ends with a body
In just one week, 3 women were killed by their partner in Belgium.
Olivia (36), Diana (39), and Naskah (41) were all murdered in the same week. In every case, the main suspect is their partner.
This isn’t shocking anymore — it’s familiar. Criminologist Anne Groenen calls domestic violence “one of the most important social causes of death.”
She estimates that at least two women a month are killed by their (ex-)partner — and that’s likely an undercount. Murders are sometimes disguised as suicide or accidents. The real number? Much higher.
In every recent case, there had already been signs: restraining orders, past police visits, reports of abuse. Yet still, these women ended up dead. As Groenen says, “Almost all cases have the same structure. It starts with control and ends with a body."
Despite laws and new tools — like GPS alarms and restraining orders — the system fails. There aren’t enough staff, funds, or urgency. Victims ask for help. The system often forgets them.
And the silence is deafening. Only 1 in 5 victims even go to the police. In 2023 alone, there were around 50,000 reports of domestic violence in Belgium. That means the real number could be five times that.
So the question is: How many more women have to die before we act like it matters?

"People of Gaza. Palestinians. Your hunger is our shame."
The Israeli government yesterday approved a proposal to intensify attacks on Gaza. The military has called up additional reservists.
On Friday morning, the Conscience aid ship was bombed in international waters off the coast of Malta. A fire broke out on board, forcing the crew to issue a distress call.
The attack was reportedly carried out by drones. Israel, which has previously targeted similar vessels, remains silent.
At least 30 Palestinians were killed just yesterday.
In Khan Younis, one family lost eleven members, and another lost four. A baby died in a tent. At Rantisi Hospital in western Gaza, a baby girl, Janan Saleh al-Sakafi, died of hunger and dehydration. She was only a few months old.
Since the start of Israel's total blockade in March, no humanitarian aid has entered the enclave. At least 51 people have died solely from malnutrition.
UNICEF warns that 335,000 children are on the brink of death. Children search for food in the garbage. Yesterday marked the 60th day since the last grain of rice entered Gaza.
Francesca Albanese, UN Special Rapporteur on the Occupied Palestinian Territories, wrote on X:
"[They are] scrambling for food as if they were gasping for air, grabbing it from filthy grounds, getting hurt while seeking a hole in the human flesh, amassing for a handful of emptiness? People of Gaza. Palestinians. Your hunger is our shame."

To the people who say they're not political...
Do better.
Here’s the truth: every right and freedom you have today exists because people before you got involved in politics and fought for them.
They went up against unfair systems that didn’t, and still don’t, want us to have rights.
Rights are fought for, not given.
When you say, “I’m not political,” you’re showing you don’t understand where your freedoms come from.
You’re also showing that you're fine enjoying the benefits of activism without helping out.
It is time to step up.
Let’s do better together. <3

“The level of sadism unleashed against Palestinians is truly unfathomable. It is redefining what genocide looks like, and yet, no one reacts.”

One cool thing about being asexual is that your self worth is completely independent of how attractive you are. I don't have to give a single shit about whether there's anyone on God's green earth who wants to fuck me because there's not a single person I want to fuck. I'm free. I'm also hot as fuck but it's completely irrelevant. It only matters to the extent that it lets me get away with not caring about how I look

Could someone please recommend some good tragic Rhaenicent fics? I’m open to any length, and they don’t even need to be endgame—I just want something tragic, painful, and gut-wrenching. I’d even accept fics that aren’t explicitly romantic, as long as they love each other more than they should and their relationship is colored by their envy, hate, and everything in between.
For example, an AU where Rhaenyra survives, but all her children are dead, so she visits Alicent in her tower—not just to torment her, savoring her slow descent into madness, but also because she craves her company. She still loves this woman in front of her, even as she hates her for everything she is and has done.
Do you get what I mean? I want it to hurt, I want it to bleed, and I want madness—whether it’s mine or theirs, it doesn’t matter.
