I love Tochigi Prefecture with its many hot springs and waterfalls. When I get tired, I go to a hot spring and then go see a waterfall. This time, I went to see Ryumon Falls and Ryuka Falls. It was relaxing. There is a cafe near Ryumon Falls where you can eat delicious desserts. Ryuka Falls is my favorite waterfall, and when you look up at it, it looks like a dragon, which was impressive.

Ryūka Falls is Shiobara’s tallest waterfall, measuring 60 meters tall. The water that zigzags across its three tiers is said to look like a dragon climbing a cliff before soaring into the heavens. The fall’s name, which means “Becoming-Dragon Falls,” is a reference to the popular Japanese legend about a carp that swam upstream until it encountered a waterfall. The carp managed to climb the waterfall, and is said to have passed through the “dragon’s gate” and became a dragon.

The other day I visited Munakata-taisha Shrine in Kyushu.

I worshipped at Okinoshima Island from Oshima from a distance. I was glad that I could see it faintly. The atmosphere was rugged and solemn.

It is said that the island has been the object of worship and full of treasures since a very long time ago.

The other day, I went to Nasu Highlands in Tochigi Prefecture. It was cool and comfortable. There is a small amusement park called Nasu Highland Park.

We stayed in a cottage with a very nice view. Please listen to the recorded birdsong in the morning.

Kawatoyo Bekkan is near to Narita Airport in Japan.

We visited Kawayo Bekkan, one of the most famous eel restaurants in Japan. Eel bowls are an expensive and luxurious food in Japan, but many people like them. The garden was very beautiful and we had a delicious eel bowl.

Last year I traveled to Noto Peninsula in Ishikawa Prefecture. It was a very nice place and the town was beautiful. It is hard to believe that it was lost in the earthquake, but I am sure that it will recover. Beautiful scenery, delicious fish, and tasty sake. I definitely want to visit this place again.
