Dearest ones
Dogs can be a big part of your life. How much support and love they can give. How they give you all their lives and ask nothing in return. In this work, I’ll share how much my dogs meant to me, how I lost them and how hard it was.
I had two dogs. One of them a Golden Retriever and the other one a German Shepard-Rottweiler mix. Both of them were the same age and came to our house when I was around seven years old. We basically grew up together.
Of course, they became old and started to have problems. The Golden Retriever died a year ago. She was sick and the veterinarian misdiagnosed her illness and by the time he realized it, she became too weak and died. That day I was with her all day because I saw she was in a real bad condition. I went away for half an hour. By the time I got back, she was dead. My other dog died this year, a few months ago. He was too old and weak, so we asked for euthanasia, so he wouldn’t suffer. Both of my dogs died.
They meant a lot for me and their death really threw me to the ground. They were so kind and had such pure love. It may be laughable to some, but I really apricated them more than anyone else.

Reading Diary Entry #2
This article talks about questions that are difficult to answer. They are certainly part of our lives and we shouldn’t overlook them. For me the part where it talks about the inequality of women, how they have to make sacrifices, seems less important.
Rather, we should worry about the economic and environmental problems. The article briefly talks about it too – how the child birth rates are unbalanced. In countries, where people live wealthier, they tend not to have children or significantly less than in other poorer countries. Migration could be a solution for this, to fill the gap in wealthier societies, so to avoid economic problems in the future.
Indeed, this seems to be the best solution. It can solve the overpopulation to some extent and the crashing of economics. Not to mention the environmental benefits. The only problem is, that too many cultures would mix in one country. It can lead to conflicts and hatred.
It is easy to say so, but we should find another solution for this. For example, changing some parts of the systems, support childbirth with programs and money in countries that need children. On the other hand, regulate child birth in overpopulated countries with making poorer parts of their society more educated, provide better birth control methods, which are easily available etc.
I’m not an expert in these kinds of things and I can’t give a good solution for this problem. Still, we should really work on it. The future is in the hands of the present generation.

In this blog entry I want to share a recipe that I make often and am able to eat for a weak in a row. Additional to its good taste, it is very healthy, since it has all the nutritions balanced and from a good source.
It has three parts that I make separately.
The biggest part is the vegetables. I usually put onion, carrot, mushroom, tomato, if it is the season for it, then some pumpkin as well, bell pepper, aubergine, zucchini and precooked broccoli and cauliflower. I fry them in this order in a pan, considering which one should be a bit toasted in the beginning and what has fluids. I spice it with some garlic and ginger, which I fry together with the onion in the beginning. I put salt and black pepper when the mushroom and tomato have lost their fluid.

After frying everything, I put all the vegetables in a baking tray and bake it as well, so it would get an even better taste.

While it’s baking I fry chicken breast in a pan. I cut it into cubes and fry it on a teaspoon of oil and then on some butter. I only spice it with some black pepper and salt and let it fry, until the butter evaporates and the chicken will be golden-brown.

I like to eat rice with all this. I wash off its starch and just plainly cook it in water, without salt. I don’t really like too much salt and the amount the vegetable and meat has is enough for me.

I really like this food and also the fact it has only good things in it which are good for the health. I warmly recommend it for everybody to try.

A sign of spring
Now that March is here, it means that bear’s leek starts to grow. Lucky me, I heard from my favourite doorman in the dorm, that Égervölgy is very close to our dorm and there’s a lot growing there. Since my dorm is in Rácváros, Pécs, it is indeed very close to us. I really like hiking and since it was also a beautiful weather on a weekend, I just got my boyfriend who also lives here, to go with me on this journey.
On the way there I got concerned that it still may be too early for the bear’s leek to grow. Fortunately, we didn’t only find a big crowd of people there, but also lots of leek, even if they were young, but not too young.

I enjoyed the trip from the beginning and even my boyfriend, who didn't really want to go there, enjoyed it so much, that we plan to go on more and longer trips after spring arrives.
Unfortunately, we decided to go there relatively late, because it was 3 pm we started off and it was around 7 pm that we got back. I guess I don’t have to mention, it was freezing cold by that time and both of us wore only a pullover. But this also has its charm, that when you get back home, you just take a hot, long shower, make some tea and try to rest out the trip.

Readig diary entry #1
Reading this article really makes you think if humanity goes on the right path and it is on the way to its end. With the growing population and urbanization not only social and economic problems occur, the planet’s, animal’s and even our health is in great danger. And in my opinion the root of the problem is in the structure of the “system” – capitalism in assumes that the resources are endless and are available in any amount. What makes it all work is the amount of profit they can make, so mass-production is inevitable and is needed. Unfortunately, this mass-production happens even with the food we eat. Fast-food restaurants and the overly comfortable community consumes more food than they would need for. There is a big difference in the amount of meat we people ate back then and now – the number exploded, and you can see the example for it in the article, but that’s only in the case of chicken. For producing this much meat, animals are fed with steroids to grow bigger faster and their life ends in around 1-3 years. Also, because of the way they are kept many diseases will spread among them, for which they use antibiotics. The meat containing steroids and antibiotics are eaten by us. The result is less antibiotics are effective anymore and the steroids not good for the body either. Not to mention all the diseases medicine can’t treat can infect humans after a time too. These are some big problems to consider and try to change, and I think we should start it with our way of thinking.
