More Buffy lava lamps :3
1st one is in Willow's bedroom, the other two are from season 2 ep. 13, during Buffy's "surprise b-day party" scene in The Bronze, and is the first time i've seen one that isn't red!
#i hope y'all are enjoying “Buffy Lava Lamp Watch” as much as i am lmao#it's very likely i missed a shot of a green one in the bronze earlier in the show since they don't stand out as much#but i don't feel like combing through the eps to find out lol#lava lamps

It’s so funny how this is legit what it feels like whenever I see or hear about any mall 💀

#or whatever I happen to be hyperfixating on at the time#but malls have been occupying my brain a lot lately#it is objectum but importantly also special interest or hyperfix idk

I really like the Colonial Park Mall. The little "stairs" plaques really appeal to me for some reason. Obviously the mall's not doing too hot. I've been here 3 or 4 times so far, so I've taken my share of pictures before. Here's the few I grabbed on my most recent visit last year.

for everyone posting in the objectum tag about date everything:
y'all, the game wasn't made for objectum people. we're not the target audience at all, and in fact, while the game is sincere about it, most interviews of the creators seem to indicate that they see the idea of dating an inanimate object as an amusing bit that they decided to take seriously for a unique game concept, and they happened to get a bunch of funding to make and market their game. I don't think the devs and artists are even aware of objectum people existing
Thats why the objects are made into gijinkas. they aren't meant to appeal to us but rather the hordes of non-objectum people who are interested in the voice casting and the art design. A game that actually means to appeal to objectum ppl probably would never have been streamer bait on day 1 and would never have gotten funding for such a marketing budget. We're still a very small and niche community that the majority of society doesn't take seriously and most people aren't interested in marketing to us or making content for our money and attention.
y'all got all your rights to complain about the game or enjoy it, just was hoping to clear something up for the main tags.
#well said#i like date everything but i agree it was never meant to really be 'an objectum game'#objectum#date everything

hey! nice idea, I'll give it a go :3
The objects I'm most attracted to are lava lamps and malls, but I'll get the occasional feelings for other things, like planes, airports, that one observation tower i posted about, my stapler, crtvs (bc of a certain game show host.. lol), etc.
It's mostly sexual and aesthetic attraction for me (which tbh, i may have some difficulty telling the difference between 😅) I think I might also have platonic/familial feelings towards my childhood plushy though
Honestly I don't think I can write an answer to this one better than op did so just go read that lol
I participate by making out with my lava lamp uh i mean by making this blog and talking about my objectum experience and sharing other people's objectum posts, and by chatting with the awesome objectum folks in a few discord servers I'm in 🫶 Oh and i do also make out with my lava lamp sometimes aksjhfsdfj (and i give her at least one little kiss before turning her off and going to bed each night :3 ) I've also been working on an erotic short-story for my fellow mall enjoyers out there, and I'd like to do some more drawings to go along with it too, no promises though my artistic motivation is fickle and fleeting 🥲
Hex!!! my lava lamp :3 🧡 I've already posted several pics of her on this blog so I'm not gonna put one in this post
Lava lamps are just so pretty, the way the wax flows, the pretty colors, and then there's the tactile experience, they're so smooth and (when turned on) warm, I love the warm (burning if i'm not careful 💀) feeling of Hex on my lips and hands or chest when I hug/hold them - I can't really get into what appeals to me about malls here bc I don't want this post to be too long, but my attraction stems from my special interest in liminal spaces and dead malls, and I really like when they have multiple floors visible from one spot, and neon, neon tubing is really sexy (sadly not in many malls anymore 😔)
hmmm tbh i don't really identify with objects, i just wanna kiss 'em lol, but it could be cool to be some sort of android I guess, be able to mix and match parts, like detachable tits! And wire-play is hot 👀 Ooh and maybe neon glowing eyes that can change color, that'd be cool
Objectum folks!
Due to noticing a Lot of people tend to get discouraged from talking or feel alone due to it seeming like nobody else really has a similar interest in objects they do (myself included), I wanted to make an opportunity for more people in the objectum tumblr community to get to know eachother. For that, I propose:
An Objectum Icebreaker!
Each person who wants to participate can answer the following questions in a reblog to share about what they love!
What types of objects do you pursue (romantically, familially, platonically, or otherwise)? Do you like tech, plushes, pool toys, cars, etc? Even if it’s uncommon, anything goes!
What makes you objectum? Are you familial, romantic, platonic, etc with your objects?
What does objectum mean to you?
How do you celebrate and/or participate in the objectum community? What is being objectum like to you in daily life?
Is/are there personal object(s) in real life you have a specific interest in? Feel free to show pictures!
What is your favorite thing about the object(s) you enjoy? What part of them makes them so special to you?
If you could share one trait of an object you don’t already have, what would it be? This can be anything, from having a motor, to being made of plastic, to being able to be plugged in or have pressable buttons! The sky is the limit
Is there a question in this list you don’t like/don’t wish to answer? No problem! Answer as many as you’re comfortable with!
As for rules, go ham! The only stuff I won’t tolerate is any sort of bigotry or hatefulness on my posts. Feel free to tag your friends if you wish, start a chain, etcetera! I’ll be reblogging my own example shortly.
(One final note! My blog is primarily suggestive/adult in nature, but this post in particular is for general audiences. Anyone uncomfortable with that please be aware and steer clear of interacting with the rest of the blog, but you’re welcome to interact here)
#ok my lovely objectum followers it's y'alls turn now go answer my friend's questions#objectum#nsft objectum#architectum

having my post tagged as The Character and an oc is just wow, i'm honored (genuinely) also i'm gonna try to make some mall writing or art soon o7
Guy who takes you on a date to the mall but spends the whole time paying more attention to the mall than you, gazing around at it lovingly and caressing various banisters, columns, and walls when he thinks you’re not looking
#i really thought i was out here being one of very few people to be into malls like this but its more popular than i thought lmao#objectum#architectum

This hellhole is called the Hudson Valley Mall, and if you've never seen a Hull Property Group mall before... welcome!
The gray carpet and hanging dome lights are their trademark. There used to be tiles and skylights, but they've all been covered - you can see one colorful skylight poking out from behind a new piece of drywall in the last pic. They also put drywall over all the closed stores, and they print local history and stuff on it. That part's kinda cool, but it's Just. So. Ugly. And dreary. This is a big mall too, just endless greige hallways with almost no stores. And a food court that's almost totally walled up, save for the last 2 restaurants which are also closed now. I just don't know what they're thinking with these renovations

Tysons Corner Center mall in Tysons, VA
Gorgeous mall, definitely need to go back at some point to explore a little more, I didn’t make it up to the 3rd floor
#sorry Pentagon City but this is my new favorite DC metro area mall lol#it’s crazy to me how many large thriving malls this metro area can support#there’s another large one called Tysons Galleria practically right next to this one#I’ll need to check it out sometime too if I can#objectum#architectum#mall objectum#malls#mall pics
