i made this blog toward the end of my senior year in high school, so needless to say I've had a lot of other stuff come up in my life. i really enjoy this blog and all you lovely folks, so hopefully i can get back into it at some point, I'm just not sure when.

how do you invision duncan, maccready's son? specifically how he might get along with shaun and the sole survivor (with a romanced maccready, of course)

in order to avoid angst, Duncan is a cured and perfectly healthy kid in these

I imagine Duncan’s a fairly shy kid, cautious even

So it’s probably gonna take him a while to get used to hanging around Shaun and Sole

buuuuuut, he did inherent his father’s love for comic books, so perusing Sole’s collection is definitely a key bonding moment between those two

him and Shaun have a few awkward starting moments

mostly because neither one of them is the most...socially adept

there’s also the fact that Shaun is a technically minded child, who likes to spend time taking machines apart and putting them together; Duncan, on the other hand, likes to run around and have little “adventures”

However, their contrasting personalities end up complimenting each other really well!  I imagine a really disney-esque friendship between the two, if that makes any sense.  Duncan’s always encouraging Shaun to get out there, and Shaun helps ground Duncan

Anybody remember Billy Creel and the heart wrenching but adorable fact that he took in Maggie who was orphaned? Do you perhaps have any wholesome family-type headcannons for the two?

Maggie makes little…things, for Billy.  Her favorite is a radroach she made out of a rusty can.  She named it Jeff

Maggie doesn’t remember anything from before Billy.  That’s true.   It doesn’t stop the nightmares, though.

Billy’s best method for dealing with this so far is telling her about his adventures in the wasteland, playing The Guardians of Gillyfrond, or just turning on the radio and letting it croon her back to sleep.

Protective big brother to the max.  Maggie’s one of the few innocents Billy’s had the pleasure of meeting, and he’s not about to let that go away so easily

loves sunsets.  it’s the varying shades of oranges and yellows, with the occasional tinges of pink.  seeing it fills him with the strangest sense of nostalgia

he’s tried to tip his nonexistent hat before.  he can’t help it; Mr. House’s personality implant may have been a little…too successful

he absolutely apologizes to inanimate objects when he bumps into them

how would lone even start any sort of friendly relationship w/ desmond, let alone a romantic one? like seriously he's so cold and distant and it's impoSSIBLE trying to write a SLIGHTLY romantic scene with Desmond--

for me, personally, I just remember that for some of these the character is going to have to be at least a bit ooc, and try not to stress too much over it  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I mean, as long as you get the core of the character right it shouldn’t read as too out of place

I was doing a sneering imperialist play through and while I was walking around all smug in Red Rock I saw Regis walk out of his tent. So of course I went in to burgalurize it. Inside i found a bunch of pre-war books. combined with Regis's position within the Khans, the loyalty he shows, but without forfeiting reason, I suddenly developed an intense love for him. Such a minor detail but it made such a difference for me. I know I left the Khans in good hands after murdering the shit out of Papa

gods, it’s details like these that made me want to make this blog!!  so many underrated characters have cool details pertaining to them if you just take the time to look around!

it doesn’t matter who confesses first; he ends up a shy, blushing fool

this boy’s ma raised him right, so you can expect the whole nine yards on your first date; flowers, as nice a dinner he can manage, and gentle lighting

and you can expect to see that on your second date, and your third, and yo- Alright, so he may be a bit of a romantic

Also; expect to receive letters from his family!  Sure they may not know exactly where to send them to, but O’hanrahan makes sure to save yours til next you come around

This guy is such a cuddler.  No one can out-cuddle him.  No one.  He’s too big, too strong, too full of love.

yep!

used to be really upset over the disintegration of information as time wore on and humans played a weird generational game of telephone, but now she sees it as a chance to help humans avoid past mistakes.

and, as long as it isn’t inherently harmful, she may humor a few theories about what pre-war life was like

still gets low-key irritated when people mispronounce names that used to be more commonly known (Tucson, anybody?)

She wasn’t actually a scientist before the war, though she was always interested in various fields (mainly chemistry and biology)

Hey, anything for some of the Great Khans? Specifically Melissa Lewis or Jack and Diane?

hmmmmmm, yesssss

Melissa Lewis:

She joined the Khans because they offered stability, shelter, and family

Not that she doesn’t like her father, it’s just that her home life always felt so...small, and empty.  But when she’s with the Khans, there’s never a dull moment, and always someone to talk to

Papa khan appreciates her opinion for a number of reasons, but the main one is he knows Melissa views the Khans as her family, even if she wasn’t born into it.  As a matter of fact, that’s probably why he trusts her so much.

Jack and Diane:

Jack actually likes his job.  It pays, is steady, and doesn’t involves having to constantly put your neck on the line.  Not to mention, he gets a little of the, uh, product for himself.

Diane, on the other hand, views it as unsavory but entirely necessary.  besides water and food, which are hard enough to come by, chems are one of the few commodities that guarantee repeat customers.

Jack definitely likes Diane, but she views him as more of an annoying brother than anything else.

He knows this, and so doesn’t bother to pursue a relationship with Diane.

honestly, she’s gonna be pretty upfront about admitting her feelings.  well, as long as you’ve proven yourself either a loyal member or ally to the Brotherhood.

of course, you’re going to have to be, and stay, on her father’s good side

Sarah isn’t big on pda, but she doesn’t object too heavily if you want to give her a good luck kiss before a mission.  she might even start giving you some

also not big on typical romance.  some quiet time alone is enough for her

she’s always gonna be a little stiff with physical affection.  it’s not that she doesn’t like it, it’s just that spending a majority of your time on the battle field doesn’t tend to create someone super comfortable with contact.

give her a little time, and once she realizes it’s you she’ll melt

boy’s a mess, first of all

at first he thinks you’re making fun of him, or trying to scam him or some junk

so he responds a little harshly; I mean, let’s be honest, he hasn’t garnered much positive attention for a long time

he loves to shower you in affection (in private, bc most smooth skins don’t like watching a ghoul get cuddly)

partly because he can’t believe he’s got you, but also because he’s so terrified you’ll leave

despite this, he will make the occasional jab at you, typically in the form of snarky nick-names.  he doesn’t mean anything by it, mind you, but if you’re uncomfortable he’ll try to curb it

ohhhhhhh yeahhhhhhh

Isabel is waaaay too shy to ever really initiate anything

unless she knows you two are completely alone

even then it’s really timid, romantic acts, like holding hands or just leaning in close

she is going to not. stop. talking. about her robotics’ studies/current projects

she gets really bashful and self-conscious if you point it out

also, expect to deal with the occasional breakdown, which mainly includes her doubting her self-worth, how she could ever truly redeem herself after all the damage she’s caused…
