Similar to those that are told about in fairy tales, few pirates remain. Many of them share the mindset of sharing, things should be shared evenly among the people and full democracy shall be in place. This isn’t something that flys well on land, the people that want to hold these beliefs moved to the water and created their own free world. They believe in freedom for all no mater the cost and are generally very kindhearted people. Though a few bad apples have ruined their reputation and left a bad name among them.

Emris became a pirate with his best friend who was escaping the values that his rich parents upheld. The two set off when they were only fifteen and have created a crew and name for themselves. The two spend most of their time now ruining inhumane gatherings held by the upper class and occasionally stealing money to get by.

Their scales, tails, and exotic looks have captured the attention of the wealthy and have become a hot grab for those on the water. The skittish and submissive personality that is characteristic of many tribes has done little to help them escape this.

Aristella was captured when she was young and used as an entertainment piece for an elderly wealthy man until his recent passing. She was sent off to auction soon after but the bidding was crashed and she was released. She hangs around the ship that houses the men who saved her and has learned quite a bit about staying on her own.

A hunter with no direction. He knows his job is to kill the supernatural, and for a while that is what he did without question, he was brutal and would take out packs of creatures living together, but after an encounter with another hunter that compared it to sport rather than being merciful he has began to question everything. He wanders around, actively avoiding the creatures he is supposed to be killing, hoping that he will get his act together.

He travels alone save for his hunting dog that is well trained and will stay by his side until the end. He isn’t a fan of connections since he knows that one day he will meet a formidable foe and therefore also meet his end. He doesn’t want attachment because he feels as if it’s unfair knowing he is never safe.

Question

I do want to get back into writing for this account, I just want to know a few opinions if you could help me out just a tad. I have characters in my drafts from when I first started that I wanted to add but didn’t want to overwhelm everyone, including myself, but I also have little account tweaks for story development sake written in the form of lore bits.

So that leads me to the question, characters first or lore first? I know for most of you it doesn’t matter you don’t care but I just like hearing opinions!

(Yes I know I have a lot of characters on both accounts, I have more for the other one too I’m just irresponsible, don’t be like me)

Upcoming changes!

I’ve been sitting on this for a while, but I’ve found a way for me to be more active! This will come with a few changes that could have some impacts on the future of role plays that I would like to give a heads up to and offer people some time to decide if they would like to continue or not

Rhysand: Problem: I’ve been thinking of ways to flesh out his character more to make him more interesting to write, but unfortunately I haven’t found a way to keep him the same species while also being relevant to the others. Solution: to keep his personality mostly the same as it is, I’ll just be changing his species. More will be released about this after I finish up changing the profile

Roleplays: Problem: right now I’ve been trying to work on more slice of life stuff, but it’s not really my cup of tea as much as I want it to be. Solution: I’m more than happy to discuss a plot with other admins or people that want to roleplay about a plot that would be interesting and engaging for both parties. These don’t have to be action packed all the time, but having a forward motion for chatting would keep everyone on track while still allowing for individualism.

A little more time between replies: Problem: when I started in this community, I was very eager to get the ball rolling and start roleplaying right away. I think I burnt myself out and I’d like to prevent doing that again. Solution: lately I’ve been around less, but I’ve been able to put more thought into my replies and really strike up some new ideas! I think I’ll stick to replying a little less (not as little as I currently do though) to try and give myself a little time to think of a good and meaningful reply!

Becoming multiship on all accounts for all characters: This one I am willing to budge on as some characters started up relationships without this being an option. I did see this in @/clubwnderland and thought it was a good way to go about things so that a character isn’t ever just unavailable! I will be approaching all current roleplays with concerns about this before the December holidays

It is a holiday for some, so I’ll let this settle for just a tad before I start making the changes concrete. Do feel free to message me with any questions or concerns at any time though! I look forward to being more active!

“If we aren’t lost then why have we been here for half an hour?”

Mingi sighs, maybe Camden had a point. They had been wandering for quite some time and an exit was nowhere to be found. At this point it was just a game of who was at most fault. “Well it was your idea to come here at night when nobody was working rather than go during the day when people would help!”

Yes, it was Camden’s idea to do the corn maze with nobody else around, but he hated people. It was the most practical. “That wouldn’t have changed anything.” The omega defends with a scoff. “If anything it would have made it more embarrassing. Just cheat, it’s corn, not a brick wall.” He finishes before doing exactly that and beginning to walk through the densely packed corn.

“You’re just going to get even more lost that way!” Mingi hurries after him, only to find that Camden had already found his way out and was standing with his arms crossed and a smirk on his face.

“Shut up.”

“I’m not sure I understand why we are here just yet.” Jaxson sighs as he walks beside Jinju. He has his hands in his pockets and a confused look on his face as the leaves crunch beneath his boots. “If I didn’t know better, I’d say you are taking me out here to kill me or something.”

Jinju laughs at the comment and shakes her head. “Seriously? You can’t just look around and know why we are here?” She doesn’t even wait for the boy to answer. “The leaves! They change color at this time of year and make everything super pretty!”

Jaxson raises a brow and sighs again. “Well I knew that, but I didn’t think we had to walk all the way out here to see them. I love nature and all but it’s getting cold and neither of us are the best at navigation.” He wasn’t trying to gripe or complain, but he does see how it could come off like that when Jinju’s face fell slightly.

“Well I guess we could- HEY!” She can’t finish her sentence before a pile of leaves is thrown in her face, a laughing Jaxson the obvious culprit. “You little-“

“I think we may be lost.” Jaxson scratches the back of his neck as he looks around, shame in his eyes.

He thought he had it, he did have it for a while, but his cheating tactic went out the window as soon as it started to get windy. He lost the smell of the exit as the wind swept through the corn around them.

“Thought you were a pro.” Jinju bites back a smile as red crept up Jaxson’s neck and onto his ears. He had said that earlier, didn’t he?

Just as he was about to conjure up an excuse, he caught the trail again and his face perked up. “Ah, because I am! I was just seeing if you’d believe that we are lost is all.” He lies and starts off in a new direction with a newfound confidence.

The end came into sight and Jinju couldn’t help but be impressed, well she would have been anyways. “Jaxson…we are back at the beginning.”
