a year and a half ... so , she could be stuck here for that long , or even longer then. that ... wasn't good. seele had things to do , important things back home. she had to return to bronya , had to know if the bubble universe she and her friends were working so hard to save was still there. ( what if she was too late ?? what if , by being here , that world was already destroyed ?? seele didn't want to think about that. )

"is ... does time back home , back in my world move on ??" sure , time in this world might be strange , but what about back home ?? and , from miss camilla's words , things happened here ?? was this world considered dangerous ?? should she be worried ??

"Seele, what a lovely name." Really rolled off the tongue rather easily. And she looked pretty competent to go along with her nice looks as well. Just needed a little bit of direction.

"Around half a year so far, give or take." Felt much longer thinking about it in hindsight but it was right before the new year. And now summer had already rolled around...

"Time seems to be just a little bit different here then what I can remember. At some points it feels like everything is moving much too slowly. And then other times it feels as if no one in this city can really catch a break from everything that does happen."

"eh ?? eh !?" seele wasn't quite sure what she was supposed to feel , upon being approached by someone who knew a term that she was sure , only applied to her world. or was it their world now ?? because ... this ... pink elf ?? miss pink elf was ... she had to be someone from their world. but those features , was she like the twins ?? having a honkai beast's dna running through her blood , which gave her those pointed ears ??

"ah , yes !! mei is one of my friends !!" well , more like bronya's friends and by association , hers. but they were still friends , yes !! and since this elf knew of mei , were they also friends ?? seele didn't know much of mei's time with the world serpent and before but she could at least , gather some clues. "are you also one of mei's friends , miss??"

♡ "Hmm~! A lovely little lady who knows about honkai energy has appeared before me. What am I supposed to do with this information?" Index finger raised to her lips, Elysia had waited for the girl to finish her conversation with the other party before butting in with her free hand on her hip.

During her previous stay she hadn't met anyone with that knowledge. The word "Honkai" seemed to be unique to her home world, so to hear it spoken by another had taken her off guard. It was just a matter of which era she was from.

"Out of curiosity do you know a pretty girl with the name Raiden Mei~?" This might have been a quick way to find out. That or it would have been an easy dead end.

"even so ... people would still worry about you whenever you return wounded ..." seele would know about that ; when she was still training , to get better , to not be a burden for sister bronya and the others , seele and them would always worry about her whenever she would push herself too hard. the scolding ( mainly from seele ) , the looks and worried mumbles that she heard made her feel awful ... she didn't want her precious people to be upset with her.

( wouldn't that just make her even more of a burden ?? )

sea - blue orbs watched the woman wrap her wound ( were those black crystals or were her eyes playing tricks on her ?? ) with a frown , hands fiddling and rubbing against each other in clear concern. was the fabric enough ?? of course not , seele should bring her to the doctors or a proper hospital. the only problem was ... seele had only arrived here recently , she hadn't had the time to properly make notes of important buildings yet.

seele really should have read a map ...

"there's no need , really. but we should buy some proper bandages. and some water to clean the wound too ..." she had some money that she was given upon arrival , hopefully it was enough.

❄ The number of scars across FrostNova's body were plenty. From a childhood of working in the mines and teenage years fighting with Reunion. In a way her lower than average body temperature made it easier for her to hide them with heavy clothing even when it was hot, not to mention the black crystals that were sprouting from her flesh. These were things that were left not shown to a girl of this age, at least if she came from a world where such things weren't commonplace.

This girl's eyes stoked memories of Amiya as she fumbled around to help. Kindness towards strangers, much less an infected, was rare on Terra. They were shunned by many, treated inhuman by most. But this world, or at least the worlds the others that were brought here came from, seemingly did not hold them in such contempt.

"Is that how I sound to you? Hah..." The idea that she was trivializing her own injuries almost seemed humorous at this point. Especially when she reminded herself that she should already technically be dead. Her breath was shaky when she spoke though. "When you've spent your whole life fighting, another gash isn't all that alarming."

FrostNova watched her struggle to damage her own clothing with a frown. "I'll compensate you." And she slowly took what was placed before her. It was a struggle, but she manage to awkwardly wrap it around her injured arm tightly enough to stop the bleeding. How she'd seek proper medical attention later was something she didn't have an answer to, however. "Thank you."

seele gave a few short nods ; so , basically , treat it how she wanted to. so , in her case ... the girl could treat this as a bubble universe , one with it's own rules. yes , that would make things a little easier. she was used to bubble worlds , she knew that anything could happen there - in here.

it was a little odd , however , to be here alone. it was ... lonely , without seele by her side. but she would just have to get used to it ... even if she really didn't want to. "my name's seele. it's nice to meet you , miss camilla. have you ... been here long ??" was miss camilla used to this world already ??

"Ooh your a newcomer." It would explain her moment of being dazed by everything around her. Not everyone could really handle the idea of being thrown into another city and not have a moment of complete confusion.

Although she did seem much more calmer then some of the others. A good start if she said so herself.

"Let's just keep it simple and say it's whatever you do want to make of it. It's a rather large place out here if you aren't used to it from your own world." Her voice trying to sound as reassuring as possible despite the situation.

"That and us giving each other our names. You can call me Camilla dear."

well … this was one way to get rid of extra candy stock. though , seele was surprised ; she wasn't expecting anyone to hear her words , at least with the crowd around them. did this man , perhaps , have a candy radar ?? a sixth sense when it came to people offering candy ?? if so … that was handy ?? rozaliya would have loved that … or maybe she already had it ??

"ah , yes !! i was given quite a bit from someone earlier and … mm. i'll give you half ?? if you wanted some more , i'm sure i can find the granny that gave me some ??" she wondered if this amount wasn't enough for the man. maybe she should give him all of it. she didn't mind !!

   xerxes break beelines towards the stranger. somebody with bags full of sweets, complaining about not being able to eat all of them? oh, bless the angels, this is a treat just for him.

   ' couldn't help but overhear that— hello! ' giving a courteous bow, break makes sure to smile politely as he looks up, his best attempt at proper eye contact. naturally, this is a charade, as he's known to do every now and then ... and he really wants that candy.

   ' i'd love to help you out in this conundrum ... i'm quite fond of what you got there, you see. if you'd want to get rid of some of it, i'd gladly accept a share. to support you in your quandary! '

"ah." sea - blue hues blinked slowly at the woman , lips parted in confusion before giving a slight nod. her mind in a daze , that sounded right ; she was lost in her mind. quite literally really. "i ... mm. i just arrived here and ... i'm not sure what to make of it." seele was rather calm , she had to admit that ; it was due to her trips into the sea of quantum , the multiple bubble universes she fell into years prior. it wouldn't do to panic. seele would have laughed at her.

"Do you need any help there dear?"

If Camilla asked everyone that question in Spirale she would be helping people 24/7 throughout the city. Whether it was someone who just arrived or some lost soul there always seemed to be at least one person who had that look painted across their entire face. And today's individual was someone who really looked like they could use a helping hand, or at least a push in the right direction.

"Forgive me if I'm intruding but you seem like your mind is in a daze just standing there."

a sickness ?? an infection ?? was this like the honkai , or a variant ?? or perhaps something similar that belonged to this world ?? if so ... seele would listen to the woman's warnings ( even if she really didn't want to ) , pulling back ever so slightly but still within reach. blood seemed to be the source of the infection , judging by what the woman said. "i - i won't but ... your wound ..."

so as long as seele had gloves , she should be fine , correct ?? but ... blue orbs briefly glanced at the white gloves she currently wore ; they were fabric and blood would surely soak into them. maybe plastic gloves or leather would be better ... looks like she'd have to go shopping for some gloves later.

"you , you shouldn't casually talk about your wounds like that ..." was this woman the type to not care about her own injuries ?? "i don't have anything ... uhm ... oh !!" seele turned her gaze onto her own clothes , or more specifically , the trails behind her. while they were see through and might look like were mesh of a kind , the material itself wasn't. they could be used !! "please give me one second !!"

small hands reached back , carefully tugging at one of the trails before frowning ; it was connected to the back of her bodice. rip it ?? seele could ... trailing her fingers down the trail , she found a part she could comfortably reach and bring up to her face , small fangs digging and ripping it with a huff. "this should be long enough ..." the girl would mumble under her breath before placing it before the woman.

❄ While the girl had dropped down to help her, FrostNova's eyes went wide and she tried to push away. "Don't...!" Her body wouldn't harm the stranger at present, but she was still almost freezing cold. That aside there was the matter of her oripathy. "I'm... sick. You might get infected if you get too close to me." Her teeth were grit together. She didn't know if oripathy was contagious here but she also didn't want to get some young girl sick with it if it was.

That curse followed her everywhere. Even if it wasn't contagious, FrostNova knew it would bring her nothing but misery.

"It's just a flesh wound, I've had plenty..." Many worse than this. It was painful and she was clearly out of sorts because of the blood loss, but it was bearable. If she'd had control over her powers she could have just frozen it shut. She could tell looking at this child that she probably wouldn't back off though.

A compromise then. "Do you have anything I can wrap around it? If you do, leave it on the ground in front of me and I'll apply it myself. That way there's no risk of you touching my blood at least..."

mister clive and torgal , seele would remember their names !! two protectors ... "thank you for the offer but ... i can protect myself. please don't worry about me." a soft smile was given to the man , a sure nod following ; the wooden scythe she was given wasn't the best weapon but it would do. so far , this world hasn't show any signs of monsters or beasts ( but seele was given a weapon , that must mean something ) , she should be okay.

... this world could bring back the dead ?? or rather , could take people from a different time ?? that ... was confusing but reassuring. if the gods in this world was able to do that , they should be able to give seele a body too !! they couldn't leave her as a phantom , stuck in the quantum. that ... that wouldn't be right !! believe in that , seele had to believe in that.

"i see ... i'll believe in that then !!" the girl would nod , a hand resting against her chest , where her heart thumped rhythmically before looking back at clive and his outstretched hand. there was only a brief pause of hesitation before seele reached out and grasped his hand. "she should also be looking for me too ... we've never truly been apart before." not like this at the very least.

Somehow, she seems but distressed and grateful - he can't say he doesn't understand, losing your sibling is... not easy, at all. He knows this from experience. But it's clear she's grateful for the help that came her way. Clive smiles gently; he's always happy to help.

"Seele... It's nice to meet you. My name is Clive." He tilts his head towards his wolf. "This is Torgal. This world is strange, but we'll keep you safe." Though, so far this world isn't dangerous, he has yet to explore the branches that were here.

Her question, though, makes him pause. A person without a body. Just who was this girl Seele was looking for? Surely she was just a sister, right? Clive decides to not question her right away, the more important thing to focus on was answering her question.

"... Someone from my world is here. he should be dead, but the gods here seemed to have pulled him from another point in time." He puts his hand to his chin in thought. "If they can do that, then perhaps it's possible for them to give someone a physical body. It will make looking for her a little harder, but..."

Standing up, he gently holds out his hand to her. "This world is strange, but curious. I'm sure we'll find the answer, and her, though." Even if they can't go by scent, they can at least ask around, or use their eyes.

perhaps wandering at this time of night wasn't seele's brightest idea. perhaps she should be a little more apprehensive , more cautious with what she might find , hidden around the alleyways. but seele wasn't that scared , not anymore , she's seen and faced worse when she was younger. this wasn't the orphanage , she wasn't a child anymore , things like these , humans , didn't send her into a panic like it did back then.

seele was stronger now.

( though , she wasn't that confident with the wooden scythe she had been given , in exchange for her normal scythe. the weight difference was drastic , the wood being too light that seele's steps were a bit off. but it would have to do )

"ah !!" seele gave a slight squeak , sea - blue orbs widening in shock at the sight of a woman before her. ( bunny ears !! no , priorities , blood !! ) small hands hovered before her , the girl unsure what she was supposed to do now. was the blood the woman's ?? was it someone else's ?? that means someone was hurt -- "miss !!"

the moment the woman collapsed to her knees , seele was immediately by her side. ( bandages , fabric ?? ) "are you - no , that's - i-i don't -" she didn't have anything she could use !!

❄ "Why are you out here wandering by yourself?" FrostNova had good reason to approach the teen under these circumstances. It was the dead of night and the casino sector of the Golden Ward was teeming with crooks. She was hiding a knife wound on her own arm from an earlier encounter. The back alleyways like this one were not safe.

"You should return to... your..." The cautus woman fell to her knees suddenly. She'd been losing blood for a while now, she was dizzy. If the stranger looked to FrostNova's left side, she'd definitely see blood pooling.

a chance , even if there was a smallest chance of seele being here , she needed to take it. maybe their connection was just separated due to the rules of this world. yes , that had to be why they weren't together , why the room was missing , why ... why she couldn't sense seele.

( please , that had to be the reason why )

"thank you so much !! uhm , my name is seele !! it's nice to meet you ..." seele trailed off , waiting for the man ( a kind stranger ) to answer before something crossed her mind. they were going off of scent ... but seele originally didn't have a physical body , would scent still work ?? how would someone who didn't originally have a physical presence exist in this world ??

"... what if , what if that person doesn't have a body ?? a physical one , i mean. would ... how would that ..." seele wasn't quite sure how she could explain her situation to him , not without revealing a lot about her.

As she gazes towards Torgal, the wolf in question lets out a small bark, tail wagging to show his friendliness. For a moment, Clive's gaze shifts towards his hound with a soft smile, before he shifts it back to the girl in front of him. When she answers him, his smile drops for a small moment.

Ah. She's looking for someone - and from the sound it it, it sounded like a twin. He can feel his heart being tugged at. He knows what it's like to lose his sibling.

"I'm sorry, I haven't." The outlaw answers, a bit of sadness in his voice. Still, though, his eyes take a determined shape and feel to them. "But you've just arrived here, right? There may be a chance she is around. If I was able to find my own brother... Perhaps the person you're looking for isn't far off."

"I can help you look for her, if you wish. Torgal here is fairly good at tracking people." He wants to help, because he understands all too well. "We may be able to pick up a scent..."

the people here were really kind , seele nodded to herself , shaking the bag of sweets she was given by a very kind old lady. or rather , bags , plural. so many different types , flavors and colors. there were even sour ones ... maybe seele would have like those , she didn't like sweet things. seele wondered briefly if there were spicy candies too.

"though ... this is a little too much for just me ..." while seele might like sweet things , even she had a limit to how much she could consume in one sitting. but , it would be rude not to eat them ...

"eh ??" the presence of another approaching seele caught her off guard ; with , for the past few minutes , her being ignored by civilians ( at least , that's what she believes they were ) left and right , she hadn't expected anyone to actually talk to her. sea - blue eyes blinked slowly , watching , studying the man before her ( he was taller than mr. siegfried !! ) before her gaze moved towards the ... dog ?? no , that form was more of a wolf.

( cute , seele thought , absentmindedly waiting for seele to agree or disagree , only for the void to be what answered her )

"ah , yes !! have you seen --" seen a girl that looks like me , was cut off. because ... seele didn't have a body , outside of hers. and seele was only able to appear outside her body when they were in the sea of quantum. so , the chances of seele being in this world , outside their shared body was ... "... i ..."

... but maybe , the rules were different. maybe , in this world , seele could have a physical body too !! "have you seen a girl that looks like me ?? uhm , she has red highlights instead of my blues ??" please , seele had to be here too.

It's Torgal who notices the distressed girl at first.

His good hearing lets his ears perk up at the sound of someone whispering. It's an instinct to immediately catch the leg of Clive's pants to stop him from going any further, tugging on it to get his attention. The swordsman stops, to look towards his faithful hound.

"What is it, boy?" He gazes in the direction Torgal's own gaze is locked on. There stands a young girl, clearly distressed and seemingly looking for someone. Clearly someone who just arrived, if the last eclipse was anything to go by. That's what people say, anyway. Of course, it's in Clive's nature to help those in need.

So he goes towards her. He can't leave someone distressed, after all, not when everyone else seems to ignore her, walking around her.

"Excuse me," The older man starts, gently kneeling in front of her for better eye contact. A soft, friendly smile, because his usual scowl in this situation won't do at all. "I couldn't help but notice you seem a little lost. Are you looking for someone?"

"hmm..." seele was ... confused. the information she was able to gather wasn't making sense. this clearly wasn't a bubble universe ; the rules weren't the same , there weren't any monsters roaming around and nobody here knew what honkai was. so , rather than a bubble universe ... was this considered a branch ?? something entirely outside of what she knew ?? oh , if only seele were here , then seele would be able to bounce information back and forth , rather than throwing it into the void space between them.

but seele could do this , she could figure things out. she just needed time , maybe some help ?? it was okay to ask for help if she really needed it. // @nohrsrose

"see ... le ??" for that very brief moment , that familiar presence , one that seele sincerely missed with her whole heart was within reach. she could even see the room that they shared , their space , in her view before it all went black and she ... woke up ?? the girl was confused , instinctively reaching for a connection that should have been there , only to once again grasp air. no room , no seele.

ah , it was happening again.

small hands rubbed against each other , seele taking small and careful breaths as her mind gathered and filtered what information she had at this moment. which ... wasn't a lot. seele should have been with her , they were right there. but something , someone ( ?? ) had separated them again. but ... it wasn't like the other times they had been separated ; no headaches , no sudden pulls left and right. it was ... discrete. like waking from a dream.

this couldn't be a dream , right ?? a pinch on the back of her hand proved it not , young valkyrie standing up , brushing down her dress with eyes looking around. seele had to find seele , fast.

a baby that can swing a scythe much larger than herself. don't ask how she's able to do it ; let's just say it's valkyrie stuff and be on our way.

normally has a claw swinging guardian watching her back and protecting her. right now? not so much. she's coping. no she's not.

used to hide away and let other people protect her , used to heavily rely on others too. she's growing out of it and is trying to do better. it's working but a certain someone isn't too happy about that.

years ago , she sort of fell into the sea of quanta , an entirely different universe outside of reality with no way to contact the outside. she was also together with what she , at the time, deemed a monster. she got out and how the monster is her best friend ! she will try to befriend literally anyone that needs one.
