BARNACLES OUTGREW NATQUICK SM. I also may have accidentally made Barnacles way too big, but maybe Natquick is just tiny!! Anyways 🥰

Dude Natquick was isolated for YEAAAARRRSSSS. This man doesn't know how to really communicate needs to properly make sure he takes care of himself the best. He knows how to maintain himself but he forgets to, and I just know it scares Barnacles sometimes...

Could you imagine how the Captain must've felt? Seeing Natquick so much older, yet he felt the exact same? But even so, he can still tell Natquick was changed in some deep way he can't understand?

Or how strange it must've felt for Natquick. Living in isolation, trying to keep his sanity through endless research, letting it become the reason he kept going, letting himself drown in it, only to see Barnacles again? So much older, so much more grown, with all of the octonauts and all these accomplishments he never got to see or congratulate Barnacles on?

DASHI ART LETS GO!!!

Just a few cutesy Dashi’s because shes the only one I can confidently draw. Left Dashi is a head cannon design for future captain dashi (and I shall be making another post on it shortly) because she’s definitely future of the octoagents especially with anb season 5 basically confirming it.

barnacles: not actually BUT he knows a lot of old marine/nautical superstitions that he'll avoid doing out of habit. not because he believes in any of them. totally not. nuh uh—

kwazii: yes. do i need to explain this one. he probably has a ton that he completely made up but still follows/believes rigidly

peso: i feel like he tries to tell himself it's not real but i also feel like he was raised superstitious ykwim?? just a vibe i get lol. couple that with anxiety and yeah this penguin isn't walking under any ladders anytime soon

dashi: like. ironically. thinks they're super fun. found a four-leaf clover as a puppy and probably still has it pressed in a notebook somewhere. thinks astrology is cool + likes to read her and her friends horoscopes

tweak: the logical side of her says no, but they're still in the back of her mind yk? she tries to avoid stepping on cracks when she notices them, she occasionally knocks on wood, etc. she doesn't have to, but she does anyway bc why not

shellington: no. once broke a mirror on purpose in front of kwazii to tease him and immediately cut his hand on it. hasn't lived it down.

Anyways I know that above and beyond has like so many octo agents so ofc they can't get into their own like families and lore and etc, but like...

Paanis a macaque. They're EXTREMELY social creatures. He always travels alone and literally talks to water, and can't help but ramble endlessly whenever he does have someone to respond to. Hes been inside the octopod and has cooked kelp cakes with the vegimals. Hes stated that he feels like he's known the octonauts forever.

I just feel like he was lonely. Anyways, Paani was kicked out from his macaque group in my au. Not sure why yet, some sort of family drama im still developing,but like. Ough. Monke.

Also you just KNOW this guy is incredibly dramatic (and adorable) when he's sad 😭😭😭🤏🥞
