One shots🫧

What happens when Barnacles has a bad day? How does he react when it happens? And how can his crew help? Well, find out.

He woke up in a dark hallway, completely alone and disoriented. Where was he? And why alone? "Am I dreaming?" he wondered as he took a step forward.

In front of him is a bright red door, hand on the knob to open it, to his surprise there was another hallway with another red door at the end. He put his hand out. To open the door again to find more doors, this further annoyed the barnacles who began frantically opening the doors trying to find a way out, but could not find one.

Suddenly the space, once wide, began to shrink little by little. In the blink of an eye, he was already being suffocated, and if he didn't act soon, he would be crushed to death.

Despite his efforts, the walls (and his claustrophobia) won and he finally woke up.

He was sweating and upset, he put his hand to his chest while counting the seconds, every second seemed to freeze in time, he felt his heart would go out at any moment which would be unpleasant if you think about it.

Soon he managed to control his breathing and everything became clear, it was just a nightmare, everything was a figment of his imagination or that's what he wants to think, he doubted that they would ever be real, but there was still a chance.

He went to bed again and checked the time, it was 3:19 am, he was used to waking up early but not so early, this could ruin his sleep schedule severely... Who are you trying to fool? He already has a bad schedule to start with, and even if he was paid, he would never try to fix it. There were more important things to do, like his crew.

The barnacles smiled softly as they remembered their crew, no, their family, they were a thousand times more important than their sleeping hours (according to him).

He took his blanket again and covered his whole body, thought "I still have three hours to sleep, nothing bad is going to happen" as soon as he thought the octoalert sounded "ok now I regret having said that, "he thought as he got up and ran to the headquarters.

When he arrived he found dashi at the computers, trying to find out what triggered the alarm. A few seconds later came the other octonauts, all still in pajamas and half asleep.

"What's the matter, dashi?" Barnacles asked, his hands on his hips.

"It looks like a very strong storm is coming," the ti officer said.

Whispers and comments like "oh no" or "jumping jellyfish" started to be heard all over the room, everyone was scared, including barnacles, but this one was not going to show fear, not in front of the crew.

Finally barnacles declared "everyone calms down, the storm is not here yet, I will drive the octopus out of the range of danger," he said with an authoritative voice

"Should I activate the rudder, captain?" Dashi asked, inches from the buttons.

Barnacles gave the green light and the rudder was activated, barnacles took the rudder firmly as he headed for safer and less turbulent locations.

Through the communicator he said "everyone can go back to bed, me and dashi will take care of this" said barnacles as he moved the helm to the right.

"And you listened, all back to bed," said tweak as he chewed a carrot he pulled out of nowhere.

(it's 2:27 and I'm still awake 😫)

Todo el mundo salió del cuartel general para irse a dormir, barnacles quería acompañarlos pero él no podía, sus vidas estaban en sus manos y él no podía decepcionarlos, pero eso no quita el hecho de que él está agotado.

He fixed his gaze on Dashi, who also worked hard to guide him through the water. "Are you okay?" He asked, tilting his head.

"Yes, I'm fine, I'm just hungry," replied the brown-furred dog.

"Well, the vegimales are making breakfast at this time, how about we go?" Barnacles offers. "Sounds good, let's go" replied Dashi as she jumped into the octoduct, Barnacles followed behind her

They both arrived at the dining room and saw that everyone was already there, they could smell coffee and freshly made pancakes coming from the kitchen, their mouths watered and they took a seat next to the others.

"Good morning," Inkling greets in his seat, holding a cup of tea with his tentacle.

"Good morning, Professor," said Barnacles, "what's on the menu?"

At that moment, Tunip came with a look of concern mixed with nervousness. "Ajake Unisy Tans Unizew Towp," Tunip said to everyone. As expected, no one understood him.

"What did you say, Tunip?" I ask with a lowered eyebrow. "He said there's only enough food for one person," Shellington translates, holding his coffee.

At the same time, Barnacles and Dashi looked at each other with a "what do we do" look on their faces. There was only one portion of food and there were two of them. It wasn't going to be enough for both of them to eat. They had to make a decision.

With the pain in his soul, Barnacles made a decision "You can take that portion" he said to Dashi who was surprised by the sudden response

"But captain, what are you going to eat?" I asked, to which Barnacles smiled and said, "Well, nothing."

Before anyone could protest, he added, "I'll be fine, don't worry about me," he said, and got up from the table and headed toward the octoduct, but a voice stopped him for a few seconds.

"Where are you going?" I ask for ideas

"Headquarters, if you need me, I'll be there," he replied and finally jumped up and left the room.

In the hallways, he walked with his arms wrapped around himself and his gaze downcast. This day was bad in every way. First, he had a horrible nightmare; second, he didn't sleep.

Third, he forced himself to drive for 6 hours straight, and number four, he didn't eat, now that he thinks about it he didn't even drink the coffee they had prepared and that infuriated him, he really loved Brazilian coffee (That's where they get the coffee beans)

It was definitely a bad day for Barnacles and that was evident in his attitude and mood. If he continued like that he would end up crying out of rage, something that he did not do.

Another one through another channel that led him directly to the headquarters, being there he sat at the table and watched the sea, it was clear and bright, he could see fish of many colors "I hope a jellyfish passes by, that would make me happy" he thought as he leaned back on the table, using his arms as a pillow and waited patiently

I wait and wait for what seemed like hours (actually 7 minutes passed) hoping to see one pass in front of his eyes, which didn't happen, as his eyelids became heavy in seconds.

Perhaps if he lay down completely he would again feel sleepy, the barnacles knew this would not help at all, but he did it anyway, as soon as his head hit the table he fell asleep and soon the sleep wrapped him in a soft blanket that seemed not to let go just let him wrap it and rest

"Captain, are you awake?" He heard barnacles in the distance, little by little he felt his body slowly waking up,

Barnacles is confused and a little scared, Inkling is usually a kind and good person, but when he gets serious it usually scares him a little because he thinks he did something wrong, and he wasn't wrong.

Inkling said "to answer your question, the octoalert went off and we all came to see what happened, but when we arrived we found you asleep on the table" he summarized while crossing his tentacles

Barnacles knew he was going to be scolded, "Did everything go well?" He asked first.

""Everything went well," he said. "Kwazii took control and was able to handle the situation." Hearing that, a twinge of guilt washed over him. Barnacles knew that Kwazii was the lieutenant and everything But normally he was the one who led the missions and when he fell asleep he felt that a responsibility was being passed on to him that did not involve him.

"Barnacles, I love you and everything," continued Inkling, "but you have to learn to go to bed earlier and set limits for yourself. At first it seems insignificant, but over time, it could become a serious problem."

""I know, Professor, but sometimes it's impossible to stay asleep," Barnacles replied. "I understand it's difficult for you, but you have to try, okay," Inkling replied.

Barnacles just stood there silently, processing everything and blaming himself for the mistake.

"Now go to your room and try to get some sleep. Later you'll have more responsibilities and you won't be able to do them under these conditions," Inkling finally said.

With his eyes lowered, Barnacles left the room, leaving the three Octonauts alone.

"Do you think I'm going to be okay?" Inkling asked.

"Well, let me see... Maybe so," Shellington said, his hands in his bag.

"I just want the best for him," he replied, adding a tweak, "We all want the best for him, but you have to understand that it's not easy for him to just fall asleep."

"But you know what, sometimes it's ok to be strict, I tend to be too when vegetable people don't eat their vegetables," shellington said, trying to encourage the inkling.

""But that doesn't take away my guilt." The three remained in a tense silence. Shellington no longer knew what to invent to improve the situation.

"You know what," Tweak said out of nowhere, "I'll go see him and see if I can help him. He usually has a lot of trouble sleeping, and maybe I can help him."

"Okay, but do it quickly," said Inkling.

"Don't worry, I'll make it faster before they can say, 'Super Crunchy Carrots,'" he replied before heading off towards Barnacles.

Tweak is in front of barnacles' door, he knocked about three times, but no one opened him, but hey, he's waiting for him, he wants her to think he's asleep, but the light under his door betrays him.

He knocked one last time and opened the door, leading into his room.

Tweak looked everywhere and found him, wrapped up in himself looking at the wall, he looked sad and that bothered Tweak, he hates seeing his best friend sad

Little by little she approached and sat on the corner of the bed, barnacles noticed her presence and looked into her eyes immediately noticing how worried she was.

"Are you okay?"Tweak asked in a gentle voice, "No," Barnacles replied.

"Why not?" Asked

"Because I had a bad day," he replied as he hid his face in a pillow. "No Domi, I didn't eat, and Inkling scolded me."

Tweak clicked her tongue in annoyance, she knew Barnacles was holding back tears, she knew him like the back of her paw (she was his best friend after all)

I looked around the room for something that might help Barnacles fall asleep, and Bingo! His gaze fell on a fluffy blanket and a book.

She doesn't usually read books because she found them boring or she couldn't identify with the story, but she knew that Barnacles loved to read and everything about the field of reading.

He ran and took the two objects and sat down again.

"Here," he gave him the blanket and Barnacles took it, confused and curious to know Tweak's plan.

"What are you planning to do?" he asked, surprised by her attitude.

"Just cover yourself and close your eyes" said tweak as I opened the book halfway "which page did you stop on?"

Barnacles raised an eyebrow. "Are you going to read me a fairy tale?" he mocked, to which Tweak rolled his eyes and replied, "Yeah, now answer my question."

"Page 84," Barnacles replied before pulling the blanket over him and settling in near the wall.

Tweak started reading, trying to change her voice so that each character and gesture had a personality, something that more or less worked out for her, but hey, she was trying.

Five full pages passed until he heard a snore next to him, looking over, he saw that Barnacles was already asleep, hugging a pillow as if it were a stuffed animal.

Tweak didn't know if it was because of how tired he was or how bored his voice was, but it felt good to help his friend complete a difficult task.

She quietly left the book on the nightstand and left the room, closing the door behind her. Finally, Barnes could sleep undisturbed, and to be honest.

He deserved it

Sad Headcannos🫧

🫧:Peso has a bad habit of biting his fins because of his anxiety at work. Barnacles tried to help by giving him gloves to protect his fins, but he kept doing it

🫧:Because of his autism, Shellington tends to have meltdowns for many reasons such as: flashing lights, loud noises or when something doesn't go as planned.

🫧:Tweak suffered some discrimination when she went to college for the simple fact of being a female engineer, this had a strong impact on her life and sometimes she cries about it.

🫧:Barnacles has scars all over his body (especially his arms and legs) which causes him great insecurity and the only thing that compels him is to wear long clothes.

🫧:Kwazii also suffered discrimination from his family. They thought that because he was a pirate with good intentions, he was weak and a disappointment to everyone

🫧:Dashi, on the other hand, suffered from an eating disorder as a teenager to the point of being hospitalized. She thinks she's ugly, but Tweak always tells her she's the most beautiful woman in the world. 🥰😭

🫧:The Vegimals are prone to having nightmares because of Kwazii's pirate stories. This leads to arguments between Kwazii and Shellington. They think it's all their fault, but Shellington He always tells them that nothing is their fault.(please give them an award for best father 😭)

🫧:Although Professor Inkling is calm and in a good mood, he is afraid of something: Death.The mere thought that he could leave at any moment terrifies him.

I just discovered this mode that translates everything I write into English. And you don't know how happy I am about this (although I'm afraid of writing something wrong and not knowing it because I don't speak English 🥲)

Revivi después de mucho tiempo y estoy listo para el segundo round >:D

No fuera de bromas pido disculpas pero estaba en exámenes y hace una semana y media estoy de vacaciones (aunque solo tengo un mes de vacaciones 😫)

¿Como reaccionaria los personajes si les dan un regalo?

Cuando le dan un regalo el actuará que le encantó y daría las gracias,pero cuando este en su cuarto el grita de la emoción a tal punto de llorar de felicidad,pues,cuando oso recibe regalo,oso feliz ❤️

Kwazii 😼

Cuando recibe el más mínimo detalle grita a todo pulmón y se abalanza a dar abrazos a quien le haya dado el regalo,también presume su regalo a todos para que tengan "envidia" en conclusión,estará eternamente agradecido

Peso 🐧

Si le dan un regalo el estaría feliz y con buen humor todo el día,a la mañana siguiente como agradecimiento daría un origami diciendo "tu me diste esto ahora yo te doy esto" (soy peso en la vida :D )

Shellington 🦦

El jamas recibe regalos,por eso,si recibe un regalo intentará dar gracias mientras se aguanta las ganas de llorar,pero inevitablemente llorara de felicidad

Dashi 🐕

Cuando ella recibe un detalle abrazaría a la persona y más tarde le proponería tener "una pijamada" por haberla hecho feliz,pero si no acepta la propuesta ella igual consentiria a la persona todo el día

Tweak 🐰

Ella no haría un gran escándalo por el detalle pero siempre invitaría a la persona a pasar tiempo con ella por hacerle el dia

Inkling 🐙

Al igual que tweak tampoco haría mucho escándalo pero ofrecerá una galleta a la persona y le contaría una historia de su juventud para agradecer (sus historias siempre son interesantes)

Tunip 🌱

Si todos los vegimales reciben un regalo el mismo día,se pondrán en modo automático y prepararían todo un banquete con las comidas favoritas de la persona ✨

✨🍓HOLA A TODOS🍓✨

Hoy mi padre me trajo unas fresas con crema porque es mi dulce favorito,quería tomarle una foto pero esto paso 😩

Se me regaron y casi me da un mini infarto 😭 por suerte actúe rápido y pude salvarlo pero perdí un poco de esa gloriosa crema

Pero mientras escribo esto se me ocurrió un pequeño headcanon de la nada XD (hay que ser positivo en situaciones malas)

🍓🐕:dashi adora las fresas con crema y en su cumpleaños los vegimales le hicieron unas y ella decidió compartirlas con tweak,ahora ambas son amantes de esta creación de los dioses ✨

En fin gracias por ver y si algún día ven un puesto de fresas con crema compré dos,una para usted y otra para mí 😉 (na mentira parce)
