“Lucas! Of course, dear, I’d love to play in the water! Oh, I have missed you, too!” Water was the best place to play, Ocho thought.

“Mushrooms?! No, no, Nana dear, do not eat the mushrooms! They cause terrible hallucinations! They use your worst fears and insecurities against you, do not, under any circumstances, eat the mushrooms!” What kind of friends would tell her to eat those horrid mushrooms?!

“I really need to get rid of that sign... Nana, please believe me when I say you absolutely do not want to eat the mushrooms. I’ve lived here most of my life, trust me, they are not good to eat. That’s why this place isn’t known to be pleasant.”

“You’re on Tanetane Island, Nana. I can take you back to Tazmily if you’d like. It’s not a long swim from here. Though I have to ask, how on earth did you end up here? This is not known as a pleasant place to be!” Ocho furrowed his brows. Humans tended to avoid this island like the plague.

“That’s wonderful my dear!” Ocho’s eyes squinted in a smile. He was so happy to see Ness! It felt like it had been so long! He never wanted to leave Ness for that long again. Ness meant the world to him!

"Ness, my little one! Oh how wonderful to see you again!"

“Wehhh! OCHOOO!” Ness replied excitedly just before grasping his little self on one of the octopus’s wiggly tentacles. Oh what a day to be alive!

Ocho lifted Ness. Oh, he could hardly contain his joy! He loved getting to see his little friend! “My little Ness, have you been well? I’ve missed you terribly, dear. I’m sorry I had to be gone for so long!”
