This is a niche rant that no one cares about but I HATE that caving has become mainstream mostly through stories of people dying in caves and those claustrophobia videos. Like don't get me wrong I enjoy I good story of a man dying underground but it really has flooded the internet so that when you want real, reliable information about hobby caving all you get is YouTube slop about the hundredth guy to die of asphyxiation. Anyway I like going underground and if I die make sure no one makes an AI slop YT vid about it. Here's a good website by an experienced caver that I've come back to frequently over the years

can you imagine being someone who hasn't read the books or engaged with wot outside of the show, watching this episode of the show where everything so far has been, for fantasy, pretty normal. everybody looks human, no physical quirks like pointed ears even (the only exception is the trollocs and they're the standard fare of 'orc' species that every fantasy show has) and then, with literally Zero build up or warning, blorbo #1 stumbles through an archway thats kinda implied to be sus, but nothing beyond the usual 'ah fuck weird magic fuckery' and suddenly the scene is being shot like its a psych thriller/horror and the camera pans around the unfortunate blorbo to show, casually, this bright orange and blue anthro fox/cat creature with needle teeth in what kinda looks like kinky bondage gear and the cuntiest high heels sans heels you've ever seen just kinda posing menacingly over poor blorbo. like could you imagine. they don't even explain. once the interaction is over they just cut to blorbo getting the fuck outta town and the season ends like. huh.

Alternating between feeling blessed for being a fan of the books and seeing this iconic creepiness immortalized on my screen and wishing I've never read the books so I could see this and be like What in the everloving fuck-
