Beginner's Fashion Guide (Men's Edition)

"Simple yet fashionable" must be your mindset if you are a person whose looking to conduct a paradigm shift on his wardrobe. Guys would usually avoid the trouble that is to come if they were to contemplate on what they were to wear that day. That would be why some guys pick up the first shirt on the pile and wear the first jeans that they see. This is when the quote interrupts. Unless you'd be attending a formal event, fashionable outfits for everyday use don't require too much time to think over. You could imagine what you'd wear when you're taking a bath, eating, etc.. All you have to know to make it easy is what looks good on what. Here are some of the pairings I've collected:

The basic go-to

The shirt and jeans pairing would be the most basic of all. It's just a matter of looking for the right shirt or right jeans to pair with each other. Top it off with casual sneakers or rubber shoes and you're good to go.

Comfy Wide

If you're in a rather sluggish mood, going wide would be a pretty good option. Wide pants provide comfort to your movements thus complementing your lazy day. This is also the kind of outfit where you could wear your favorite sandals. You never thought much for it, but still on point fazzown. (ft. Han Seungwoo)

Casual Clean

Some guys really do have more slacks than jeans. The stereotype for slacks is that they are usually worn in church, for school uniforms, or for formal occasions. However, that's not the case. Slacks can be worn casually. If paired with a casual piece, any formal clothing would be seen as casual. Pair your slacks with a simple shirt and sneakers, you've achieved the clean casual look.

Ralph Lauren's Piece

Polos and polo shirts can be considered basic apparel. Whether you'd want to look effortlessly classy or clean. Slacks and jeans would go perfectly with it. I tell you these pairs can be worn at school.

Cardigans

Some may think that cardigans are for-girls-only pieces. But no. They could also be worn by guys. As simple as a shirt or sleeveless top would do the trick.

Cold Season's Pairs

Cold seasons are the most opportune time to flare up your ootds. Explore your closet and layer up different pieces on each other. You'd get fashionable whilst staying warm and comfy.

Shortcuts

As much as I dislike shorts on guys, we can’t avoid but it because some guys prefer shorts rather than long pants. If these were paired with the right pieces, they wouldn’t look too weird. Also, they’re simple and comfy, so why not?

These pairs could be your starter pack for the new year. However, you must have the right kind of pieces to find the perfect pair. To end, here are a few parting tips for you to find the right one:

1. Know the right color palettes for you

       - To know your colors, you must first know your skin's undertones. Whether you're warm-toned or cool-toned, your color palettes depend on it. Those with warm tones would naturally glow on oranges and yellows, while those with cool tones would be perfect on blues and blacks. You must also choose those colors that scream classic and not those bright ones. There are quizzes available online on how to know your undertones. Check it out before choosing your pieces.

2. Less is always better

       - This doesn't just mean the less clothes, the better. This could also be applied to your clothes' design. For example a shirt with a single print or just a plain shirt would be much better than those shirts with a rather large print that occupied the whole shirt.

3. Never fear inserts

       - Inserts make the whole outfit classy and clean. It just feels right. If your outfit may look better on insert, then go with it. Inserts are not invented only for formal affairs.

4. Explore and Experiment

       - I may have listed a few pairs but take note, they are just guides and examples. What looks good on you would solely depend on your great self. When you feel good of what you wear, only then would you look good. Remember, fashion is meant to build up your confidence. Find all that is right for you and walk the halls or streets with your head held high.

Life Changer at its Finest (Who Are You: School 2015)

For as long as I can remember I have always been into Kdramas, Kpop, and overall Korean culture, even if the blood of a Filipino runs through my veins (yes, I’m a Filipina).  The very first things that really drew my heart to the arts of South Korea were their over the top dramas. Though the very first drama I watched was Boys Over Flowers, nothing could ever compete with how much I love Who Are You: School.

The first time I watched the series, as in on episode one, I was a confused wreck. The drama didn’t lay out everything in the first episode like some of the dramas out there. Well, I could say its understandable to be hella confused when you haven’t read about the plot of the drama. The sisterhood/twinhood of Eun Bi and Eun Byul (yup, those two up there-or one) was what made me to almost give up on the watch. And I’m glad I decided not to give up on it with hopes of understanding it in the next episodes.

The most major conflict in which I pulled my hair out, is this girl: Kang So Young. I’m sorry Jo Soo Hyang, I wished on your character’s death many times in the drama. That’s how much I hated this girl. She always seems to look for problems with Eun Bi wherever she goes even when she has transferred schools. During the whole series, I focused more on the bullying story this girl has created. It was almost unbelievable as her bullying reached to great heights that greatly affected the majority of the characters. Goodness, I really hate her. But still, her role was necessary.

Yeeess. Her role was truly necessary. It was for this sole purpose. This moment had my every nerves stand on attention. Like,wow!! I absolutely love and scream for those I AM THE QUEEN HERE scenes, you know, spikes out your inner feminist. Eun Byul is just that: a Queen. So all of those conflicts are worth the irritation, anger, and just pure frustration when this scene happens, I swear,

And yep, this wouldn’t be my ultimate drama if the spice called romance is not present.Though the sweet moments were only a few and they were not that focused, that ‘s what makes it more interesting. When the romance is all laid out the scenes would then turn all too cheesy which would then make it less flavorful. I was glad that even if she did end up choosing one of those guys, they didn’t show their actual lovey-dovey relationship. If they did, the thrill of those unsaid feelings would gradually decipate.

Overall, the drama is yes the most amazing, confusing, and bone-chilling one I’ve seen. If you don’t think so fine, I don’t care. If you haven’t watched this drama yet, I’m so sorry about the spoiler gifs. I also recommend this drama if you haven’t seen it. Yeah, it’s high school but I’m surprised by the characters’ way of thinking. It seems you would be enlightened by their insights on situations. This drama brings a great deal of lessons which would leave your mind heavy with contemplation.
