My Whumpees are always broken losers, so it's hard to relate to all these defiant, unbreakable Whumpees in my feed... time to make some relatable conditioned, broken, loser Whumpee content!

Breathing hard against each other’s lips, Whumpee stepped back as they felt Caretaker's finger gently stroke their jaw. They took it as a sign to lift up their chin, so Whumpee did. A small frown appeared in Caretaker's face, but none of them said anything as their lips reconnected.

Thirsty pet Whumpee + Caretaker
Not a word was said, as Whumpee realized they were being fed. Handfed by Caretaker, their new owner. They carefully bit off the toast given to them by Caretaker, whose lap they were still on.
Whumpee didn’t say anything as they ate the whole toast with spread, bit by bit. They kept on eyeing the water, as if at some point it would vanish. Whumpee remained silent, not even daring to glance up at Caretaker, until there was no toast left on the plate.
That was when Whumpee watched as their new owner reached out for the glass of water and they felt their chest rise and fall, almost in anticipation as to what would happen next.
Luckily for Whumpee, their new owner seemed to be in a good mood. They watched as Whumpee drank the whole glass in record time and even filled it up again right afterwards.
Caretaker didn’t say a word until Whumpee downed the fourth glass of water like it was their first.
“How about we save some for later?” They said, as they put the empty glass down. Then, without a word, they gently moved Whumpee's hair out of the way, when they saw a strand had fallen to their forehead. “You can drink whenever you like, okay?”

Both in my head and in my Google Docs, pet Whumpee sees Whumper instead of Caretaker during a fever and they are happy to see Whumper, as they miss them. Not because Caretaker doesn't treat them well, but because they spent so many years with Whumper that they believe they only belong to them, despite all the pain and the hurting.
Caretaker similar to Whumper + delirious Whumpee
Consider having similar features for Whumper and Caretaker, so during a delirious moment of Whumpee being struck by fever, they don't see Caretaker. They see Whumper.

“P—Please, I’ll—I’ll be g—good…!” Whumpee breathed out.
“I know,” Caretaker nodded reassuringly, “I know. You’re always good, Whumpee.”

I always get the whumperflies when Whumpee is found in Caretaker's closet, hidden from a storm because they're scared and they needed to feel safe.
That's it, that's the post.

Storm whump
There's something so beautiful about Whumpees who are terrified of storms for a variety of reasons.
Let it be because they are scared of the thunder; maybe they hate the rain because of previous trauma with Whumper; perhaps they remember when they were locked in a dark room during a storm; it could be that they were forced to stay outside during a storm, as a punishment for "misbehavior".
For any reason they're terrified of storms.

Imagine this, a pet Whumpee that's been with Whumper for so long that they can't imagine themselves belonging to anyone else. They love Whumper and they belong to them.
However, Whumper grows tired of them one day and sells them.
Whumpee spends months in a shop with other Whumpees. Nobody buys them, nobody want a used up, "second-hand" pet. That is until Caretaker walks into the shop and buys Whumpee.
Despite having been bought, Whumpee still feels like they belong to Whumper and all they can do is try to live with the fact that Whumper hated them so much that they sold them.
+ points if Caretaker's job is rescuing pet Whumpees.
+ points if Caretaker ends up falling in love with this particular Whumpee.

Whump + Cages
Consider this, a Whumpee that was caged for so long they ended up missing it once they were "freed". As long as the confinement was terrifying, Whumpee missed their personal space and the safety of being alone in their cage.
Bonus points if Caretaker finds Whumpee hidden in a closet or any other space similar to a cage, where they feel safest.
Even MORE bonus points if Caretaker finds Whumpee there during a panic attack.

Whumpee mutilation
TW: mutilation
Whumper has powers, such as healing ones, and they love to have an audience. Keeping that in mind, Whumper sets a camera right in front of Whumpee and presses the button to start recording live.
The torture begins. Cuts, bruises, scratches, any type of wounds all leading up to the end of the live, the part everyone waits for.
With a knife on their hands, Whumper starts off by cutting Whumpee's fingers off in a bid. The people watching offer more and more money. Once Whumpee is a quivering, bloody mess they are healed.
All ready for the next round of bidding.
