A Guardian of childhood. It makes sense that he’d be the guardian for that. She didn’t know that Santa had something like that to guard. It makes him all the more interesting. “You’re doing a great job then!” It’s not an easy job, after all. Going to houses and houses to drop off gifts, but also it’s not easy in seeing the children who were bad. Ismael had been bad a couple of times when she was just a little child herself!

“You said fellow guardians…who else is there?” And she’s stepping back, releasing the hug. 

“There’s five of us. Protectors of childhood. Myself the Guardian of Vonder. Toothiana the Toothfairy the Guardians of Memories, Bunnymund the Easter Bunny though he is not in fact a bunny surprisingly, he’s the Guardian of Hope. Then there is Sandy the Sandman the Guardian of Dreams and finally our newest member Jack Frost, the Guardian of Fun.“ 

He looks up the sky and smiles. 

“Of course, the man who brought us all together. The Man in Moon, uhm in terms you might understand uh..He’s our Charlie and ve’re his angels. I might also be the Bosley though too.” This might be an outdated reference North.

He said yes. HE actually said yes and she does not hesitate to just throw herself into his arms. Most kids at her age would just stop believing, but NOT Ismael. No siree! She just never told anyone that she still believed. She has no reason to hide it now though!

Huh.  At his words, she looks up at him, “I think you’re right! Thank you, Mr. Claus. You really are the best and you give really good hugs. Probably because your love is immense.” 

He wraps around her and gives her a gentle squeeze, careful not to smother her with his beard. As you pull away you stop to give her a reassuring pat on the head. 

“Immense huh? I try. It’s only fair to give vat you receive. As a guardian of childhood it’s my jop to spread vonder and love and hope and fun along vith my fellow guardians to all others.”

She cannot scream. Don’t scream! you’re ALREADY losing your mind! She inhales then exhales, “Okay! I’ll be sure to tell everyone HERE!” She’s balances on her heels, hands clasped behind her, “Can I actually give you a hug?” At least she asked, but oh god her heart feels like it’s gonna just jump right out. She’s so excited!

“But of course little von.‘ 

With that said, North stretches out his arms and welcomes the woman in. 

“Sometimes it’s the little stuff like a hug that ve need of course vith permisison. Nothink is wronk vith that at all. Show you still carry love in your heart.“

“You’re a lot taller than I thought!” She is AMAZED. “I have to tell KYRIE about this. And Nero, and Grimm…Oh and Ms. Okina. Oh my GOD, you’re here. You’re real. You’re actually—” She’s getting way too excited. SO excited that she’s THIS close to giving him a big hug. Never mind that he’s got tattoos! NEVER MIND that he is extremely tall and has an accent! 

“you’re so COOL!”

“Ah a fan!” 

He chortled, a soft smile form under his beard. Icy eyes beaming at her as she list off friends she could tell. It was always nice to see this level of excitement and hope coming from anyone any age. 

“Ice cold as some might say. You can tell all you vant my identity is no secret. “

even over the sound of their own footsteps and their flames crackling, they can hear the old man call out just behind them! they let out a surprised snort. he didn’t miss a beat!

hm…

their pace begins to slow, feigning exhaustion as they huff and puff. surely, the man must be right there, about to grab them…!

and just as he makes an attempt, they transform again! this time, they shrink down to a scorbunny, barely a foot in size, sprinting ahead and hopping up on top of a mailbox.

Are they mocking him? North stared at the now rabbit in exasperation. 

“Of course....” 

Little did they knew that the sight of the rabbit provided a drive to the guardian as memories of certain non rabbit involved with Easter came to mind. 

“Bunnymund!” 

Eyes squint as from his pocket he pulls out a red velvet sack. Yes the sack and loosened the neck. Ready to pound on his pray.

“You think to mock me? Trust this old man can not only can he run but also....“
