☀ — “Are you really so willing for a stranger?” It seemed the other was, as Guy watched him sit and extend a hand. “Well, I accept your forwardness my friend!” Soon the two have grasped hands and Guy is smiling like there’s no tomorrow.

Owain can’t help but match the other’s grin. Not too many people were open to his forward personality, so he’s excited beyond belief. 

“I am the legendary hero, Owain Dark! Vanquisher of villains from all lands. Defender of the innocent. Fetch quest extraordinaire! And who might you be? An ally of Justice as well?”

“Joker!?”

Owain perks up at the familiar voice. Out of everyone he could’ve guessed would arrive in the city next, he never expected him. Honestly, the butler was sort of intimidating-- his ability to go back and forth between doting and sharp-tongued always left Owain with his head spinning.

He frowns as he remembers that Joker doesn’t know his true identity. It couldn’t hurt to let him know a little in these circumstances, right? At least, before someone else does it for him. 

“H-hold your apologies, my dear compatriot. You are correct! It is I, the legendary mage, Odin Dark! It’s actually... quite a complicated explanation. But I could fetch my Nohrian vestments, if you need proof!”

      FIRST, IT WAS his surly scoundrel of a right-hand man; now, joker finds himself bearing witness to the ruminations of lord leon’s bombastic left. surely, he must be aware that both of his retainers have departed for this city, though he inwardly suspects that the prince’s presence is not far behind. regardless, the other man seems to be oblivious to the remainder of the world around him; a situation only halted by the clearing of the butler’s throat to alert odin to his presence. 

      THOUGH, AS HE gets a closer look at the other man, perhaps he is wrong in believing him to be odin - at least, the odin that he is aware of. 

❝ Well. You certainly seem alike to one I knew in the past, but… perhaps I’m mistaken in thinking you to be the dark mage Odin. Apologies for the disturbance. ❞

“A companion, you say!?” Owain jumps in as soon as he hears the other’s woes, almost comically, “I would be glad to offer my companionship if you so wish!”

He plops down next to the man and extends his hand for a shake.

☀ — Guy is staring at the sky seated on a bench. “What’s a man gotta do to find a good companion around here?” He was itching to talk to people like he used to.

“You! I can sense... a strong power coming from within your fleshy vessel!”

Owain is gripping at the wrist of his hand while it shakes violently, as if it has a mind of its own and is ready to pounce at any moment.

“My sword hand... it’s reacting...!” 

Nothing’s actually happening within any part of his body, but most people unfamiliar with his theatrics are usually thoroughly convinced (and a little weirded out) by his actions when he gets like this. “I don’t know... if I can control it!!!”

“Ohhhhh, I see. I guess I do that too, but I don’t really see how it makes a weapon special or nothin’.”

The exorcist shrugs, staring down the wooden sword. Hey, he’s got something like that too- a play weapon. He pulls out a small toy hammer- it’s almost embarrassing how weak it seems compared to his proper innocence.

“’Aight, let’s strike a deal. You imbue this thing one of your names, I’ll let you in on some interesting info, got it?”

“A hammer?” Owain taps his chin in deep thought. “This might take a while, my friend.”

Every weapon has its merits, no matter how strong or weak it is. It’s important to make sure he names it something memorable, especially since he’s trying to impress this guy who--so far--hasn’t seemed very enthused about anything Owain says. And, admittedly, he can’t stop thinking about this “interesting info” Lavi mentioned.

“Name imbuing can take days or weeks at times! What do you say you fulfill your end of the deal first, I mean, while we’re here...?”

Technically “first cousins once removed”, but I think Lucina being called “aunt” sounds better
