It felt strange to question herself, yet, ever since she came here it felt like those thick walls that allowed her to analyze were beginning to crumble, leaving room for doubt. What she did recognize was that she had formed something like an attachment to one of her patients, The Joker, such a dangerous game to play, but she had full control of the situation, right?

Harleen's distant gaze returned to her patient and their most recent conversation, her. With anyone as she would feel the need to lie, an act of false confidence, of course I know how to read them! Psycho-analyzing allows me to become them to understand them. Which, perhaps some of it was true, maybe it was her getting too deep into the minds of the 'criminally insane' that left her feeling lost and at night finding herself trying to, and on some occasions getting to the bottom of a bottle just to get some proper amount of sleep.

No, he got honesty. "I'm not so sure of that one, " The blonde paused for a moment, her thoughts attempting to collect themselves before she continued. Glacial blue eyes turned to focus on his eyes, "Would you say after our sessions that I am remotely close to understanding you?"

Reminder for delays & slow replies as of returning:

As of January 24th, the newest addition to the family was added. This means as of now, I am taking care of my for kids, a soon to be 10 year old, a 3 year old, a 2 year old and an almost 3 month old baby. I can easily tire on some days and others be unphased by all the hard work and be writing back to back. But I will try to write when I can, but breaks and pauses should be expected, I'm busy and writing in downtime to relief stress as well as fun. I've missed a lot of you.

So as I make this return to this account, please keep that in mind.

Also! If anyone had previous threads with me that they would like to continue, please bring it to my attention. It's been months since I've actually gotten on this account so searching to find is going to be a bit difficult.

Restless bones kept her moving, fingers tapping along her arms while pacing back and forth. She was so used to jumping into it, if something was needed in the past Harley never hesitated, with or without the word. She supposed that was what made her both useful and annoying to the Joker. But Bats was a drastically different guy, reckless behavior wasn't his style, nor did he intentionally put others in danger for the benefit of himself. It was something she admired but also, due to situations like this, found irritating. Easily a few more hits to that broken nose would have a confession... well she supposed she would have to worry about the others first. Okay, so maybe it was a little more complicated.

Her lips parted to say something, but his gesture made her remain silent and even stop her restless pacing as she lowered herself down to get a better look. "What do you think it is?" Her voice was nothing but a whisper this time. Batman had a point, it was too weird, this whole situation, the number of people in the area- small but also large. And above all, someone she had already run into previously. "You think they got more scouting out the area?"

     The busted look of the man’s nose had all but taken Harley’s attention away from Batman. She could feel her lips lifting upward into a smirk of triumph at the damage she had managed to do in such a small amount of time before she had been pulled off. Though… now that she looked back on it, she wasn’t quite sure what it was about the man that had set her off in such a fit of rage- eh, maybe it had been his face or somethin’. It did bring forth the question, why was he here? Of all the places in Gotham, he so happen to be with the group they were watching. Nah, it didn’t add up.

     “Yeah, I think you’re right.” The words felt weird leaving her lips, given the fact she would take up any opportunity to argue or disagree with him. “Oooh, can I get that information, we can play good cop bad cop! I wanna be the bad cop, oh please, please, pleeeeaaaase!”

Harley's smile remained, "Joker huh? That has a really interesting ring to it, ya know?" She giggled softly before offering a curtsy of her own, "Well, it's a pleasure to meet you, Joker, I'm Harley Quinn." A part of her wondered if she should have introduced herself as Harleen, but it had been such a long time since she had gone by or even been called that name, to begin with.

"You give quite the show, you got any more tricks to show, or do you have any other fun acts you like doin'?" Joker had to have been one of the more interesting people in Gotham, she was actually funny, and people in Gotham were just... dreary. This was a nice change in pace, and she wasn't ready to just let this woman slip between her fingers. "If not, I understand, but I gotta be honest. And call me crazy, but I already feel like I wanna stay in touch with you."

With the woman’s delight, Joker did various bows and curtsies. “Thank you! Thank you! I’m in Gotham all day, every day!” She broke off the gratitude with a giggle, taking the card back from the woman and making them both disappear. Only to whip out the deck again.

“Normally a magician never reveals her secret, but for you?” Cards put together, shuffling the cards once more. And then revealing the other side. All of which were Jokers with the same ‘HAHA.’ It was a trick deck.

“What can I say? The Joker is the most important card!”

     Thinking about it, Harley couldn’t remember the last time she had enjoyed a trick so much, or honestly, even given it a shot in the first place. Maybe it was something about her aura, or the way she carried herself that kept her lingering around, curious and even wanting more. Knowing that she would be in town gave her all the more of a reason to stop by again and see what else this woman had up her sleeve.  

     She had fallen silent once again, the tingle of excitement at the fact- this trick was actually going to be revealed to her. Her eyes lit at the brilliance behind the card trick, in this case, she would never get the card wrong no matter how many people walked by and drew a card.

     Laughter bubbled from her, “That’s amazing! Truly~”
