the lady of lys felt as if her attention was getting bad, the conversations were getting too long, loud and the idea of being around other people was starting to cause a slight headache. ahava knew she needed a small break, to just look around, breathe a little and be alone with her own thoughts. it was pleasant to know she wasn't alone -- that she wasn't the only one needing to be away from everything for just a little while. "my apologies," the rogare quickly let out, her soft smile growing small. "i'll have to agree... it all gets too much at times" a hand comes to softly fix her hair, unsure on how to proceed next. leave the other lady alone? perhaps, keep her company? "would you be willing to share your hiding place for a bit?"
open starter — the claiming .
— “ IT seems you’ve stumbled upon my hiding place . ” the baelish lady smiles politely along with her words , though discomfort at being caught unawares tightens the look into something resembling more a grimace . a subtle escape to the gardens , away from the booming mass of nobles , for a moment of peace and quiet is no longer the easy feat it was in an emptier keep . “ a break for fresh air is quite necessary at these events , i have found . ” she continues , though clarification has yet to be demanded ; there is always an urge to explain , an urge to apologize for a crime when none has been committed . it will linger in her bones until her skin is dust .

the youngest lady of the rogare family looked up to the voice calling her name, quickly yet softly adjusting her attire. not that it was disheveled but ahava had noticed she had been fixing everything extra carefully during the festivities. perhaps, as a way of keeping appearances. "lady juliet," ahava acknowledged the lady of highgarden with a nod. "i am, indeed, enjoying my stay," her words were soft and sweet, though they hid something else. "and being able to witness a dragon claiming was surely fascinating. i believe everything has been very pleasant, thus far"
@ofamour ⸻ to ahava rogare .
doe-like eyes looked out from over top of her drink , a vision in red though she wouldn't think so as the color rarely appeared in her wardrobe . " are you enjoying your stay , lady ahava ? " melodic voice asked the lyseni guest . she doubted westeros could really compare to essos in terms of beauty , but surely a dragon claiming was something was new .

the interest, awe and enthusiasm were quick to wear off for the youngest lady of lys. somewhat, her attention couldn't be on the dragon for too long nor the event in itself. sure, one cannot deny how it was rather interesting at first. for ahava, it even pinged a sense of inspiration. the lady is quick to look at oh-so-familiar lady laena with a playful smile. "how come you read my mind?" the youngest quickly inquired. "i too thought it'd be prettier but, still, its colors are rather interesting, i won't deny" ahava added onto the discourse with a shrug, her usual smile never leaving her lips. "are you enjoying the festivities thus far?"

observations of the emerald beast were made at a distance. due not to fear but rather lack of the fervent fascination that had infected most of the crowd. nereid's curiosity quieter. hues eventually drifted to the lady that stood beside her, not the normal rogare she oft gravitated toward but a member of her dear friend's family was still a welcomed sight. laena leaned closer and whispered, ❝ the dragon is impressive but not very pretty. ❞ it reminded her of a larger version of the lizards that climbed the rocks on braavos' coastline.

"oh, worry not" ahava let out with a soft smile. her hand quick to fix her attire, while the other strong on the glass, to not let her wine fly anywhere and ruin the event for both of the ladies. the youngest of the rogare family could somewhat understand elif's awe. she too had been in awe earlier on and for various reasons, that is. "it is an act of extreme courage, it seems," the youngest of the pair stated with a nod. "and it is rather interesting, overall. don't you think?" she questioned back with a tilt of her head.
Seeing a dragon and not being close to it but certainly not being far from it was still very overwhelming for her. She had never seen a dragon up close before, and she wasn't sure of what to do... stare at it? Look away? Would it set fire to everything? How safe was everyone currently? A ton of questions swirled around in her mind as she sipped her wine and nearly stumbled backwards over her own flowy gown. She caught herself but slightly brushed against someone nearby. "Oh! My apologies. I'm just... in awe. I've never seen a dragon this close before." She said. "I never thought I'd see a Targaryen claim a dragon. What do you think of it?" She asked curiously.

her familiar, soft smile, adorned her face as she carried around her glass of wine. ahava was sticking to whoever dared to give her some of their time - conversations could get quite boring fast, and so the lady of lys dared to stick close to her siblings or rather people that seemed more interesting in her eyes. her attention is fully on the lady of winterfell, a twinkle in her eyes from pure amusement. a giggle almost bubbling at the actions of the older woman. the offer was quite tempting, ahava wished to not cause problems, however, the youngest lady couldn't help but to want something fun. thrilling. "a competition?" ahava enquires with an enthusiastic smile. "a sip of wine is nothing... but i'm afraid i'll have to accept the challenge you propose", she concludes with a smug shrug. "so tell me more of it"
* ⠀🐺 𓂅 with an exuberant countenance adorned by an eager smile, alessia wasted no iota of time in gracefully approaching the wine table upon her entrance to the event. in her delicate grasp rested a half-empty glass of wine, a testament to her early immersion in the hedonistic pleasures of the libation. the ambiance of the venue, alive with vivacity and tranquility alike, draped around her like a silken veil, ensconcing her in a buoyant cocoon of euphoria. "remarkable indeed is the elixir bestowed upon these festivities," she declared with a touch too much volume, directing her words to the companion who had ventured near the table, her actions punctuated by a discreet pour of wine into her already brimming glass. "but hush now..." she interjected, placing her dainty fingers upon her companion's lips, the subtle effects of the wine taking gentle hold of her senses. "pray, do not apprise my progenitors of my indulgence," she murmured, her concern faintly tinged with apprehension regarding their potential disapproval upon witnessing her current state. "and what of thee?" she inquired with a playful lilt, her gaze alighting upon her companion with a mischievous gleam. "shall thou merely be an observer or art thou inclined to partake in imbibing alongside me? methinks a competition may ensue!" her words, uttered as though a revelation of profound brilliance, carried an air of whimsical suggestion. "thou art familiar with such diversions," she continued, her thoughts momentarily adrift in a labyrinth of contemplation. "i shall pose a query; shouldst thou falter in response, a sip of wine shall be thy penance. dost thou accept the challenge, or dost thou shrink from it in trepidation?"

( mint ranchrawee, 26, cis woman, she / her. ) announcing the arrival of AHAVA of house ROGARE, the LADY of LYS. whispers among the court name them to be both SYMPATHETIC and QUIXOTIC in disposition, and those closest to them speak to their interests in painting. if we bards could compose a song for them, it might tell stories of never living up to your potential, twirling around in dresses, being in the shadow of others while baring the brightest smile. the seven whisper to their most devout queen as she sleeps, making her question where their loyalties truly lie. are they right to whisper? for their loyalties truly lie with THE EMPEROR OF ESSOS.

— you're the youngest of the family, born with three older siblings that carried the responsibilities and burdens of the family from the start. you, however, were doomed to live under their shadows ever since you can remember. always clinging to everyone's sleeves and begging for something more
— you want your father and those around them to look and think of you as worthy of their trust. but no one can look at ahava and think of her as something other than a pretty flower that still needs a lot of work to fully bloom
— it takes you a while to accept you'll never be worthy of a lot within the family. you accept your softness, your kindness and your lack of deep knowledge on the family business. you keep up with appearances and never let your family down, however, you never exactly feel like you fit in.
— the death of your father sort of weakens you, as you lose idea of what to do. ahava, you truly never knew who you were, right? you smile, you act right, you read the script everyone has been throwing your way from birth but you never truly took the time to understand what you like. what you dislike. to think for yourself
— you live in your bubble of pretty ideas, of brown brushes and paint-tinted fingers. maybe one day you'll come in handy, who knows.
