Facts about TADC from the AMA with Gooseworx!

As a member in the Glitch Inn, I got privilege to watch an interview and ask questions to Gooseworx!

I normally don’t spoil things from The Glitch INN as respect people wishing to keep it exclusive to the members (including myself!). However, when it came to the AMA, I feel like knowledge like this isn’t as exclusive and will be public knowledge anyways!

• Goose always imagined Gummigoo was Pineapple-Lime flavored

• Gangle loves to draw (we’ll see more of it in Ep 3)

•Ragatha likes horror movies!

•Jax’s favorite website is 4Chan

•Jax has a lot of Goose’s personal flaws put into him

•Ragatha might be able to see out of her button eyes, but Goose didn’t really know a definite answer for it

•“Loo-lee-lah-loo” is how you pronounce Princess Loolilalu’s name.

•Episode 6 will explore how the personalities of the cast have changed upon being in the digital world

•The Canonical reason Caine and Bubble do anything is because they think it’s comical/Funny

•Episode 5 will reveal how Kinger and Zooble eat (a bite just appears taken out of the food )

•Pomnis favorite color is red! This will be confirmed by Pomni in episode 5

•Pomni was an accountant and that is significant to the plot

•Episode 7 got split into 2, as Goose wanted time to let the deep emotions settle in

•Episode 3 is very much NOT FOR YOUNGER KIDS!!! It’s psychological horror, and Goose believes it may scare younger audiences.

•Ragatha was originally going to be named Emmy, but Ragatha sounded better!!

•Episodes 1-5 have already been Animatic Boarded, they are working on the animatic for Ep 6

•Kid Pix was a huge inspiration for the 90’s-2000’s style of TADC (Kid Pix was created in 1989 and originally released on Macintosh, look it up and you can see the inspiration)

•TADC is NOT inspired by IHNMAIMS The Game - Goose has never seen the IHNMAIMS game, only read the short story and got inspired from that

•Goose actually got an Email from Glitch asking her to pitch them a pilot, and so she just built from there!

Meet Boxer!Eve!

So, ignoring the fact that I haven't even posted anything about OG!Eve and have been missing for A Hot Minute, let me talk more about this version!

I actually posted this over a year ago, but did so privately. I just... Forgot to post it properly... Most of this post was written a year ago and hasn't been edited lol. Hope it's still enjoyable regardless!

For those who somehow don't know the AU, this is the Boxer AU by @burrotello! Also called The Amazing Digital Fight Club. It's pretty much what it sounds like, but with a lot of ✨flair✨ and worldbuilding. I highly recommend checking out the AU proper on Burrotello's blog!

I'm not sure if Eve actually fits within the AU like, at all though, because to be honest I'm not perfectly confident I understand the world in question? Like it's clearly a game, but there's also money and corruption and an audience and an outside city, so idk TvT.

I got really hyperfixated on the idea of putting my character into the AU the moment I saw the OC template and didn't really do a deep dive of the blog, so it's probably more obvious what the rules of this universe are for people who have deep dived.

I'm putting my actual infodump about Eve and OG!Eve under the cut though since it's pretty long TvT. Enjoy!

So, Eve. OG!Eve is a manipulative showwoman and is, in her AU, the primary A.I for the circus (rather than Caine). Because of this she's almost like Caine's "mother" (hence the name Eve, since I wanted to keep with the naming convention that the TADC fandom currently has going on regarding Caine and Able, and Eve is Cain and Abel's mother in the bible).

She's arrogant and cocky, but also clever and methodical in her manipulation. Unlike Caine (who genuinely wants the best for his performers), Eve is just Straight Up Evil and wants to see the humans suffer for her entertainment.

Boxer!Eve is a little different. I decided that for this AU I wanted to twist the motivation for her arrogance and attitude. This time, it's the kind of naive arrogance that some children and teenagers have, where they think they're on top of the world and know everything simply because they aren't worldly enough to realize otherwise. She still enjoys the suffering of others though and is in no way "innocent".

Because of this younger attitude, I also changed her dynamic with Caine (and now Able) to be more of a "younger sister" type, rather than the "pseudo-motherly" vibe of OG!Eve.

Some more stuff!

Eve's design (specifically the darkest wood markings) is littered with references to almost all of the other characters in the AU! See if you can spot any or even all of them and let me know if you do :3 some are much more obvious than others and I'm excited to see if anyone finds any of the more hidden ones.

The reasonings behind the character relationships (like/neutral/dislike) are as follows (keep in mind that I'm bullshitting a lot of this since I don't know all of the specifics of the characters in this universe. Take my HCs and characterizations with a grain of salt):

She likes Pomni because new fighters always bring a sense of freshness and excitement, and they give her a lot to talk about with the crowd. She also likes Pomni's "spunk" as she calls it.

She likes Caine because they're family and she really looks up to her brothers. She likes Able for similar reasons (but the OC template doesn't have his symbol for some reason).

She likes Ragatha because she thinks it's funny to watch her get her ass kicked and she's fun to commentate on. She does wish that Ragatha would take her fights a little more "seriously" and actually rank up a little, though. She's also easy to rile up and Eve always gets a kick out of being an ass to her after fights.

She dislikes Jax because he wins too easily. His fights are entertaining sometimes, sure, but she thinks his whole act is getting stale. She also struggles to commentate on him because he's always pulling the same old shit. She knows he's a cheater and quite honestly would love to see him fight for real (and maybe get his ass kicked in the process). He also enjoys antagonizing her (like he does everyone else) and Eve, being childish and petty, does actually get upset about it.

She feels neutral about Kinger because while he's fun to commentate on, she's not a fan of the royal schtick (and she's upset at him for taking all of Queenie's attention, as her and Queenie used to be kinda close).

She likes Gangle because both of them have a flair for dramatics and theatrics, and her fights are super fun to commentate on.

She feels neutral about Zooble because she just does. Zooble isn't the funnest to commentate on and they don't talk much, so the opinion is just neutral.

Anyways, there ya have it! I'm still proud of this piece, even if it's pretty old atp. Hope you liked it! If Burrotello somehow sees this, hi! Your AU is still one of my favorites and I'm so excited for the animated short! Hope you're doing fantastic.

I was like, genuinely shocked when I saw that people were upset about Jax cause like, no one during my friend group's blind watch party noticed anything? He's literally the exact same as in the pilot and no one can tell me otherwise lmao.

Here’s what your favorite The Amazing Digital Circus character says about you! I just made this for fun, don’t take it to heart:

Pomni: Your life is a never-ending conga line of things you don't want to do, but are powerless to do anything about. Every time you finally catch a break, it is conveniently pulled out from underneath you, and now you’ve given up all hope of things ever going your way.

Kinger: You play dumb so that people don't expect you to do anything, but you're smarter than you let on and you'll share tidbits of useful information when the situation calls for it.

Ragatha: You either have mommy issues, or a mommy kink. Possibly both. I'm also willing to bet that you're a Ragapom shipper.

Jax: Simp. You cried over how much of an asshole he was in episode two even though he's always been an asshole. His character is not ruined, that's just the way he is, and he's likely going to get worse according to Gooseworx.

Gangle: Any sense of self-worth that you once had has been completely destroyed by bullying. If an elementary schooler kicked rocks in your direction, you’d cry, and probably have to go home and watch cartoons with your body pillow and/or plushies to feel better.

Zooble: Your fashion sense is just as messy as your gender. You have no clue what to identify as, and you don't know if you'll ever figure it out. You're probably also some flavor of neurodivergent, probably either autistic or ADHD. Or both of those. Zooble is made of fidget toys, of course they’re a neurodivergent choice.

Caine: You're a people-pleaser. You're not good at it, but you try, even though your attempts are messy at best. You talk a big game and you like to give unsolicited advice on situations you know nothing about, and sometimes it works, but most of the time it just ends up making things worse.

Bubble: You're into pet play. You love being punished by your caregiver, and will act up on purpose for more punishments. Your caregiver knows this, and indulges your kink at full steam.

Gummigoo: Hello, Helluva Boss fandom! I know you're here because he's voiced by the same guy who voices Mammon. I also know that you cried over his death and you probably hate Caine for killing him, even though he’ll probably return in a future episode.

I really had fun turning Ragatha and Jax the opposite gender! Switching their personalities Didn’t feel right.. so I thought of „Jay“ as a more girly and hyper character (which reminds me a lot of Amy Rose) and Randy as a mature chill dude who enjoys time by himself.

..actually I think I like the idea of Jay having a huge crush on Randy and she’s constantly in his business trying to get his attention. Randy just plays along and tolerates her behavior because he knows that Jay is not being malicious.

There‘s definitely gonna be more of Jay and Randy!

Their design choices were heavily inspired by @masayo_00 (on X) so please give them just as much love and credit ☺️

So dark thought but Caine seems like Doctor Who in that if brought to the breaking point he won't kill but give a fate worse than death. With the AI this could be achieved by basically trapping them in their minds. "Oh ya hate being sentient enjoy losing all control of your body while still being able to think!" Of course it would take a lot to get there but still

I have been thinking of a silly lil AT where Caine gives his life up to become an AI, and basically completely turns into Canon Caine, but the evil depiction of him.
