Update from the Admin and TW Mental Health
Hi everyone. I apologize for the delays on InuYasha Yashahime Video updates.
I found out that I have Complex PTSD from childhood abuse. So I am indeed Neurodivergent as I suspected for a long time. In the 90s they called it "autism" but now that education has furthered my critical thinking style came through genetics and hard rewiring in my brain through traumatic childhood abuse. I was conditioned to not tell anyone what happened to me.
I had to look at myself as a "science subject" and I noticed I do a lot of things subconsciously. I have CPTSD fragmented personality through "Internal Family System" [INF] and I won't even hide it. For a long time I have had characters in my head that helped me get through the bad times. InuYasha especially was absorbed into me as part of my personality fragment. They are apart of my consciousness through my feelings. Which explains why people really liked my portrayal online. I absorb information in -mass- amounts of quantities. I calculate patterns and predict through percentages.
I am working on organizing everything.
I'm already at "High Functioning" again.
A lot of my interviews, merch, manga and anime are scattered in boxes but I've been pulling them out a bit at a time.
I hope you continue to support my team and I as we press forward.

Kagome Higurashi’s Birth-Day CALCULATED
After a lot of studying, asking Teachers from Japan, variations of the manga, novelization and episodes for lunar cycles I believe I have come up with definitive answer for “Kagome’s Birth-Day” without dismissing it as “they never said her bday”. Making it as accurate as you can be. It’s only fair because @officialkagome managed to calculate mine. I’ll be doing the same for her’s this time because there actually is enough evidence over-all that can pin point the exact date.
First of all there are two different versions of the manga, one says 1997 and the other says 1996. The one that says 1997 is actually incorrect, so we will use the correct one 1996 for this matter.
Kagome at the beginning of the series says that it’s her birthday, it’s Spring - which would be in April for Japan. She also is 15 years old. In Chapter 35 they are in their Summer clothes which means they are in Midterms. Now, our member, Hiroyuki is actually an English teacher in Japan who has mentioned the terms for schooling in our group. So Kagome definitely fits the bill for being in Junior High School
Japan runs a Three Term System - The Japanese school year begins in April and ends in March and is divided into three semesters. The school year starts in April. So the first semester begins in April and ends near late July. The Second term starts in September. But Kagome doesn’t say “It’s the first day of the second semester!” and it isn’t Fall. In fact in the fourth volume she mentions it’s summertime. Which points to April, and June is the beginning of Summer. Hiroyuki specifically states it’s the first day of school, being April 1st. So that’s the definitive month for Spring - The beginning of the school year.
So we know two things so far, 1996, April, first semester of school and in Japan. Another factor that people question way to much and all the time, they question it incorrectly is actually her “Uniform” -
[ Art by Rumiko Takahashi, PNG from kisspng ]
A few of our members also discussed the changing of uniforms. It is common knowledge that this occurs -

[ Source - http://atlasp.net/questions/7.html ]
I have seen people argue about it saying Kagome is starting her second semester, that would mean after my calculations Kagome’s birthday would be September 24th. BUT a second semester in the first episode which is very untrue. In episode 11 we can assume that is the last day of Winter Wear and that it is May 31st. In Episode 12 they all switch to their Summer Wear - June 1st. We can also use Mayu as a great example. Mayu Ikeda was stated in episode 12 and Chapter 35 by Souta that she had passed away 6 months earlier. The series does have it’s own regular time jumps and sometimes we are given hints as to how much time has passed in between episodes, but I’ll explain that in a bit how that plays out for her birth-day. In this episode everyone has changed into their summer uniforms, meaning that Kagome is at-least in June now. That means Kagome has been going to school for two months at episode 12/Chapter 35. That means Mayu died in December which matches her attire. Kagome says “Why is she wearing a down jacket, it’s summer isn’t it?!”

Mayu is ten years old and she was an elementary school student.

In real life, Elementary school students wear casual clothes very similar to Mayu’s with big jackets. You can see the kid on the far left is actually wearing a big red jacket just like her’s.
They are only wearing their summer uniform for 3 months until October 1st. They get into their Summer uniforms June 1st. Again, this would contradict her - saying it’s her second semester, than her first which is undoubtedly April.
If it’s easier to explain this way, Kagome is wearing her school uniform that is long sleeved April, May, and then June 1st. For then three months it’s her short sleeved uniform then until October, until June again which means they are usually wearing their long sleeved uniform for 8 months! [Well not really because of their breaks in between but you get my point] A majority of the time they are wearing that version. That explains why Kagome is almost always seen wearing her long sleeved uniform.
Then there is also THIS line -only- in the Novelization of InuYasha where it’s stated to be Autumn ONLY in the Feudal Era. While in the anime and manga it’s spring. But for the novelization’s “autumn” this is normal, traveling 500 years seasons and weather do change each year. We do have Global Warming as to current date. 500 years ago it was completely different due to distance and tilts.

Have as much of a headache as I do? It doesn’t end there. Now, I remember seeing the moon a lot in the anime and manga - This is gonna help me out.
On Episode 3 Kagome’s Grandpa says “You were missing for three full days”
At this point the episode is at Sunset and is becoming night time. Episode 4 starts at night time continuing on the same day. What do we have here?
Here we go again. This is where we can define everything right down to an exact date and figure out what Kagome really is. Using pre-recorded weather patterns and moon cycles in JAPAN as of 1996
My calculations for her birthday are - April 1st, April 30th - Kagome is a definitive April born.
The best one being -
Full Moon, in April 1996 is actually the 4th! That means that three days earlier from what Grandpa Higurashi stated is in fact exactly April 1st.
Full Moon, in May 1996 is
May 3rd. Taking three days would be April 30th!
Let’s narrow it down further.
“Children who have their 6th birthday on or before April 1 enter the first grade of elementary school of that year.”
As we check the way that schools are calculated Kagome would have to be turning 15 on April 30th!
What are the odds of us being able to figure all of that?! I mean, Kagome states it’s her birthday and it just so happens to land on the first month of school being April!
Kagome’s date of birth confirmed April 30th 1981.

I apologize for not responding to messages directly sent to me.
A few months ago one of my friends from the InuYasha fandom passed away. I believe that he took his life by the way he used to speak to me. I noticed he stopped being active online and that was when I found out he passed.
I've realized my neurodiversity and critical thinking was caused by C-PTSD.
That's why InuYasha has been something I've identified with since I was a child.
It's a permanent hard wiring in my brain. This is just who I am.
Currently I'm backtracking my memories into chronological order. Also - the InuYasha Birthday post is going to be moved here so that we can access it for the sake of convenience whenever there's new information added I can update/edit it here. It'll help be more organized.
Thank you everyone.

Hello,
just a question about the movie 3. Why on there Soryhua is Tenseiga's attack (Saya says something about Tessaiga's Bakuryuha and Tenseiga's Soryhua to defeat Sounga) ? It's Tokijin sword attack.
In the final battle, Tensiga attack seems the same as ever, not the Soryhua.
When it came to the original InuYasha manga, Soryuha [Dragon Strike] was a move that didn't exist at the time and was created as an anime original move.
It exists because of Sesshoumaru's demonic energy being channeled into his weapon. Example being Tokijin and Tenseiga. Now we've come full circle and it continues onto Yashahime where Sesshoumaru's daughter - Towa literally creates blades from her own demonic energy (translated and localized from 妖気 - youki). That's Soto no Soryuha - Twin Azure Dragon Wave. So the same as ever, is the same as ever. It's Sesshoumaru's demonic energy as is Towa's demonic energy being channeled.

When is InuYasha’s birthday?
I’ve been seeing everyone sharing that InuYasha’s birthday is April 1st 1479.
Let me first explain how that is wrong.
In 1996, Kagome traveled 500 years in the past to 1496. 1496 InuYasha had already been pinned to the tree of ages for 50 years.. 1479 was during the time he was pinned to the tree. How was he born while under Kikyou’s spell?
Lets break it down to something easier to believe.
The series starts off in 1996 Tokyo Japan, Kagome goes down into the well making that 500 years off of 1996, which leaves us at 1496 in Feudal Japan - The Sengoku Jidai.
When you remove the 50 years from 1496, that means InuYasha was sealed in 1446. Debunking “April 1st 1479”.
Did I mention that’s something that someone posted on a publicly edited website for April Fools? DEBUNKED. Even more so as we continue on in this post. You’ll see why -
No where in the series, the anime, manga, novelization, video games, Drama CD Audios, Artbook, and not even the InuYasha Profiles Book state any type of information as to what InuYasha’s birth date is. Until we look at one of the movies, which has the closest evidence for this and will help us be as accurate as possible to what InuYasha’s real date of birth is.
Looking towards the third installment of the InuYasha movies - “Swords of an Honorable Ruler” We get to see the beginning of InuYasha’s life. During this day it was snowing with a full moon, where InuYasha’s half brother Sesshoumaru and their father the Inu no Taishou are talking right before he runs in order to save Izayoi from Takemaru of Setsuna. With that we know that it takes place in Winter, and on a Full Moon leading onto a Total Lunar Eclipse.
In which even Takemaru of Setsuna says, and I quote directly:
“The night of a lunar eclipse. Excellent. It is the perfect time to slay a demon.”
During the viewing of the film we are granted with a few exchanged lines between Saya, Toutousai and Myouga in regards to the passing of InuYasha’s father, stating it had happened 200 years ago.
The same night that InuYasha is born, his father dies.
Taking off of what we have currently: 1496, reduces it down to the year 1296.
UPDATE:
In InuYasha Wide Edition 4, InuYasha is said to have taken place during the 1540s but that wouldn’t make him born around the 1340s and here’s why - As of Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon - Episode 21 - “Secret of the Rainbow Pearls” Summary from Animedia March 2021 added weight to this. It states that Taishou died in the Kamakura Period, which takes place during the years of 1185-1333.
Making it also Historically Accurate.
Now we have the following evidence in place
- The starting year for the series is 1996
- Traveling around 500 years back in time to the Sengoku Period during the 1540s
- The 200 years ago when the Inu no Taishou’s passes during the Kamakura Period is 1296
Making us closer to the most accurate answer for InuYasha’s date of birth.
I’ve compiled down this information from various Almanacs, which is an annual calendar containing important dates and statistical information such as astronomical data and tide tables. Meaning there was so much in terms of lunar cycle to sift through before I could get even far enough as to establish a definitive date. The one benefit here that we have, is that Japan is a small island and lunar eclipses only happen so often.
Narrowing it down to a handful of dates that the moon was visible enough to even see, let alone during a celestial event such as a lunar eclipse.
We were left with the most realistic date given that it’s winter in the area of the years around 1296, and on the correct moon cycle in Japan -
Total Lunar Eclipse of March 29th 1298
Partial Lunar Eclipse - October 2nd 1297
Partial Lunar Eclipse of May 18th, 1296
Total Lunar Eclipse - May 30th 1295
Leaving us with a total eclipse of the Moon occurring on December 4th 1294 with maximum eclipse at 10:44 UT. A dramatic total eclipse lasting 1 hour and 38 minutes plunged the full Moon into deep darkness, as it passed right through the centre of the Earth’s umbral shadow.
The penumbral eclipse lasted for 5 hours and 59 minutes. The partial eclipse lasted for 3 hours and 45 minutes. The total eclipse lasted for 1 hour and 38 minutes.
If we convert the 10:44 Universal Time to Japan time, that made it 7:44 PM. That would be the time that InuYasha was born. In the movie we hear his crying as soon as it becomes a Total Lunar Eclipse.
A Total Lunar Eclipse on a snowing night.
December 4th 1294
Japanese calendar: 11/09/1294
Senkachi, 9th Shimotsuki 1294 (1294年霜月9日先勝)
