             hana can only grin at the other ’s words, laughter DARING to spill past her painted lips.  ❝    hey ! who ever said anything bad about being a bartender !   ❞   she defends playfully, shaking her head before she takes a final swing at her drink.     ❝   but i do gotta disagree with you there !  i always like a good drunk who wants to get a little rowdy !    ❞   she raises up her hands almost as if she were ready to throw a punch. &, only then does she CRACK, as a stream of laughter finally escapes her.    ❝    it’s always funny to watch them create a scene. i mean, as long as it’s not me they are trying to fight .  ❞

               if it had been any other night, hana probably would have been at a bar or club, right about now .  &, if it had been a normal night—— hana probably wouldn’t have been going on about why the moth man surely existed. but, tonight was neither of those things, & when the girl hears her friend’s voice, suddenly she stops amidst her spiel. her mouth twisting into a grin as her gaze illuminates with EXCITEMENT. perking up from her seat, she nods over at the other.     ❝   is that supposed to be a trick question ? of course i want one, silly !     ❞

                it is the voice of another which almost immediately has the girl peeking from under the covers which had once been hiding her identity. perhaps it was distracting for hana to be acting in such a manner, especially inside the other’s home while she was trying out new recipes. however, that didn’t stop the girl from whining.    ❝   betty !   ❞  her brows furrow, as her lips pull into a slight frown.    ❝    i’m bored out of my mind . i’m just trying to entertain myself a little. loosen up  ! i’m getting you in the holiday spirit ! look at this place,   ❞   she motions to the decor of the other’s home.    ❝   as of right now, your attitude is the scariest thing in here !   ❞

                   there’s an AMUSED hum that comes over red━painted lips, lips pressing into a line as she nods easily upon the other’s utterance. humored by the offer that is shot her way. &, for a moment, hana eyes the girl before her. trying to figure something out, or perhaps trying to conclude whether she wanted to make a fool out of herself for the potential prize at stake.  but, with her mind made up, its a loud laugh which leaves her.    ❝   if you wanted a kiss. i think you might be out of luck.   ❞   there’s a PLAYFUL twinge that’s laced into the melody of words she spews. shaking her head, she wags her finger at the other.     ❝   i don't think i'd make it on my third or fourth try, let alone the first ! but if you still wanted that kiss, i'm not stoping you.   ❞

                      there is a pulsing that throbs within hana’s skull & the consequences for a hard night of partying causes the girl to huff underneath her breath as she hides behind a pair of sunglasses. she is already is in a bad mood, but when she hears someone’s voice from afar, hana can’t help the scoff which rolls off the tip of her tounge .     ❝     i’ve already bought it. do you just expect me to let my money go to waste ?   ❞

               there’s a spark of excitement which illuminates her gaze, & a smile which curls at the corner of her lips when jihoon’s words meet her ears. naturally, she feels a sense of giddiness itching at her fingertips. something about the potential of finding something odd beyond the sea of graves has her heart fluttering with ANTICIPATION. &, without thought, the girl grabs for the other’s hand . a sense of eagerness painted across her visage.    ❝   well , what are we waiting for ?    ❞    hana exclaims a little louder than she had intended. a flutter of laughter escaping her before she looks back to make sure her friend is alright .     ❝  it’s been a while since i have visited a graveyard . . honestly . . .   i’m kinda scared.  but , if there are gonna be ghost ANYWHERE, there outta be some chillin’ around here .   ❞     she admits with yet another laugh.

          it’s a peaceful sleep that the female finds herself immersed in. that is, until it’s a light knocking at her door which causes hana’s  eyes to flutter open through that of thick lashes. leaning upward to the sound of a remote hitting the floor, the female rubs at her eyes, doing her best to comprehend what she has woken up to. surrounded by darkness, it takes a moment to adjust to the lack of light. & standing up form her once comfortable position, hana heads in the direction that three light knocks had come from. her body moving without much thought as drowsiness blurs her line of sight. unaware. she stumbles over her own feet, her hair cascading down her body in a haphazard mess as her bangs frame her face in a sloppy fashion . without a care. she opens her door.

       it is the image of a familiar female that is seen before her very eyes.

      ❝     sohee  ?    ❞     her visage grows GENTLE, consisting of something along the lines of surprise & delight. &, for a brief moment, hana leans against her door frame. her mind working slower than usual. there’s a brief pause that lingers within the older of the two, building up space before she is capable of reading the body language of the younger girl who stands in front of her door.

        almost within seconds, hana snaps to reality. a look of concern washing across delicate features as she makes room for the other to enter her home. tender & soft , words escape past parted lips in an unexpected departure. making themselves heard before the woman has the chance to even think    ❝   come on in,   ❞   she motions the other forward holding the door open for her. welcoming sohee with open arms as she flickers on the light beside the door. lightening up her home for the other as hana senses something wrong,

    ❝  can i get you anything ?    ❞    she asks, her voice laced with UNDERSTANDING. sympathy dipped in a tone that expressed the worry that was seen clearly across her visage.    ❝    maybe some tea ?  or even a  blanket ?   ❞

disbelief   flooded   joowon’s   features   as  the   girl   persistently   urged   him  to   try   on   the   ridiculous  costume  .   the   embarrassment   of   the   situation   was   enough   to  make   joowon   regret   even  waking   up   this   morning  .   “  no   .  .   . its   just   NOT   happening   !   ”   he  said   grabbing   the   costume   within   his   hands   and   placing   it   back   onto   the   hook   to   which   it   came.  “  why   don’t  you   wear   it   if  you   love  it  so  much   ?   ”   he   questioned   back   at   the girl  . 

            when the other grabs the costume from within her grasp , it’s a DISSAPOINTED look which crosses her features. & like a child , her frown deepens.   ❝     don’t be a party-pooper, joowon.    ❞   her lip juts out in a small pout as her expression pleads with the other to maybe reconsider his choice.    ❝    i can’t wear it ! i am gonna be stantz !    ❞    she explains, perhaps a little too seriously for what is just supposed to be halloween costumes.     ❝     we are gonna do matching costumes ! GHOSTBUSTERS. & what would i be without the stay puft marshmallow man !  i mean , you could be venkman , but...    ❞

             there is a sense of laughter which bubbles to the surface of painted lips, a soft sort of chuckle that is quickly hidden by a masking hand as she watches the other protest against her costume suggestions.  ❝  oh , come on , joowon ! please ?  ❞  she offers the other sad look.  a glimmer of hope twinking in her eyes before she motions the stay puft costume his way.  ❝  you are gonna look so cute !  just try it on before you decide you HATE it.  ❞

                    when the other’s response meets hana’s ears, it’s a loud laugh which escapes past her look of disbelief. her cheeks pulsing with an ache, it’s her amusement which is at fault for the small pang which radiates within the pit of her stomach. there are tears beginning to pool at the corner of her eyes, & after a brief pause, hana tries to get a grip over her breathing. holding a hand to clutch at her stomach as she tilts her head to get a better look at her friend.  ❝   don’t tell me you’re scared !   ❞   the girl can barely manage to speak between her fits of laughter .   ❝  you can’t bail on me now haru !  we are in this together. don’t worry . i promise if anyone touches you i’ll fight them !   ❞  she jokes with a playful wink & before the other has the chance to protest anymore, hana is pulling her straight into the haunted house.

            it’s a night full of bright lights, sweat & heavy aromas—the smell of alcohol & stranger's perfume. it’s all something hana has become accustomed to. enjoying everything the nightlife the town has to offer, from the tunes which play in the background of her favorite club, all the way to the vibration & movement that came from the strangers she danced with.

        yet, it is an unexpected collision which has the young woman brought back to reality, & it’s a late reaction, as she hears a vaguely familiar voice speak out to her. but, it’s due to her inebriated state that it takes a brief moment for hana to comprehend the situation at hand. the words which have been sent her way delayed. however, once the girl is finally capable of peeking through long lashes, it is then that a sudden sense of distaste overcomes her. some sort of aggravation  blistering under skin as she feels the temperature  in her face rising. & the hands that were once swaying to the music are quickly sent to her side . it was their visage which sparked an almost forgotten memory of a past relationship that had ended on bad terms.

       forcing a smile upon her face, a small scoff escapes past painted lips. her words slurred together as the smell of whiskey rolls off her breath. ❝ i bet you would, ❞ hana lets out a small exaggerated laugh, a dry kind of choking sound that pains the back of her throat. ❝  too bad it won’t be you who is going to see me without it tonight . so what ? you bored or something ?  or did you decide you MISSED me ? ❞ the things which are spewed from her mouth are fueled by the alcohol which courses through her veins, & she uses them as an outlet for all her frustrations. unleashing all the tension which had been built up within her small frame because it was simply everything she couldn’t bring herself to confront. she channels her drunk agitation at the other before her.  

        ❝ i’m not interested in any games you might have up your sleeves, minjae .❞ her brows furrow as a slim finger presses assertively into their chest. as if in accusation.

                     with the DARK clouds that hang themselves in the night’s sky, a young woman finds herself sitting outside one of jeonseol’s hot spots. there she loiters, waiting as if for something. &, without purpose, the girl exhales a few of her own clouds ━ some much smaller & similar to the grey ones which loom overhead. she’s come out, in hopes to get a little air ━ to get some space away from the commotion which still goes on inside. & as delicate hands find their way into the pockets of some jacket she’s stolen, a cigarette hangs loosely from red painted lips. letting out yet another puff of smoke, she feels the cold air nip viciously at her bare legs. it’s only then, that she almost wishes she’d worn something a little warmer. it is a fleeting thought, however, as the presence of another sparks hana’s interest. tilting her head to get a better look at the individual beside her, naturally, she motions a box of cigarettes their way. a grin illuminating her features, & a flash of curiosity fills her gaze. ❝  you want one  ?  ❞
