status report: can't have SHIT in [school name redacted] because I am being forced out of my nice cozy dorm and forced into a place that will supposedly be safer but will definitely be more crowded. weh. at least the roomie and I have a ride there because it's already pretty wet out
(honestly, nothing worse than what I see on a normal rainy day in the summertime around here tho. and I'm not seeing "cat 4" thrown around anymore, apparently it strengthened less than people thought it would overnight which is Definitely Good.)
going to handwrite so much fanfic I have to transcribe later :)
ahahahaha I'm In Danger (hurricane coming my way) (it was projected to be cat 2 why the FUCK is it suddenly now projected to be a cat 4) (aaaaAAAAaaaaAAAA???)
it is very likely that I, personally, will be fine and will just be annoyed by my lack of internet and/or power for a while. may or may not come back with several pages of handwritten fanfic due to sheer boredom if it comes to that, that is what usually happens.
(honestly I'm most annoyed by the fact that I am probably being forced out of my nice, cozy dorm when I would probably be safer in here but whatever. I'm coping by being annoyed by the little things you understand.)
as a floridian. cat 3, and anything below it? ain't shit. cat 4 is shit.
tl;dr I will be fine but I will bitch about it and I have enough power banks that I will be able to bitch about it fairly often from the horrendous thing that is mobile tumblr if/when power goes out.
who knows tho maybe I'll finally finish the next chapter of tboyl :P
Basically Google is rolling out the ability to track you via your android devices even when you're offline and you have to manually opt out of it. Many android devices no longer come with a wired headphone jack, so if you have Bluetooth headphones or a keyboard or anything, your location will be tracked and stored by your device unless you opt out of this.
I tried using the link they gave me in the email to opt out of it, but it didn't really seem to do anything. So I looked up how to opt out and found the following steps, which worked for my phone:
Opting out from the Find My Device network is as simple as tapping a toggle in your phone's settings.
1. On your Android device, go to Settings.
2. Tap the Google setting.
3. Tap the Find My Device setting.
4. Tap the toggle to off next to "Use Find My Device."
5. Confirm with pin, pattern, or biometrics.
That's it. Your device is no longer participating in the Find My Device network. To rejoin, just flip the toggle back on.
Please reblog to spread awareness. My husband has the same phone as me and he didn't get any emails about this.
eveeyones got it wrong your mid 20s arent for going to the club or partying or picking up new crafts. your 20s are for discovering how much more autistic you are than you thought you were in high school
There is no greater breed of coward than artists who draw Eileen the Crow without her mask as a sexy smooth skinned 20 year old instead of a grizzled old lady made of 70% scar tissue.
Never forget when a nerd from my high school when I was 17 and he was 16 or so said "women can't write shonen" and then two minutes later he said hia favorite anime/manga was Fullmetal Alchemist. Never forget his face when my friend told him to check out who the author of that manga was. Never forget
