Jon didn’t remember, he had dissolved and returned like the others, completely unaware of who he truly was–how the hell was she going to tell this to Krypto? How was she going to tell Lois and Clark?! “Hi, Koda.” She knelt in front of the animal, offering him her hand so he’d smell her before attempting to pet him. “It’s a fitting name–it means the ally or little bear.”

tobias had never met the girl in front of him before , she was just a nice woman who seemed to like dogs. “ it fits-- i just named him after one of the bear’s in brother bear , that disney movie , “ he confessed. “ i didn’t think that the name could be so fitting. “

“wrong.” kate deadpans in response. she runs a hand over the beast’s fur, grinning, thinking of lucky. “he’s mine, now.”

“ okay , you can take a few steps back now , “ tobias joked. “ get your own angel dog. “

“he’s gorgeous.” kate’s voice is filled with awe as she drops down towards the animal, holding a hand out for him to smell before she can ambush him. “he’s yours?”

“ he most definitely is ! “ tobias said with a bright yet PROUD smile.

   “ sorry, kid.  me && animals don’t really get along. ”  he backs away a half-step from the animal, trying to be a little respectful.  he suspects it’s the lingering smell of demonic that sets them off. 

“ really ?? “ tobias perks up , looking at the man. “ why’s that ?? “ he couldn’t think of any reasons why an animal may not like the man before him but then again he did tend to be too trusting at times.

‘ a dog ! ’ she exclaims, the amazon falling to her knees in front of the animal as she reaches forward to pet the gentle giant. there is a fondness upon her face that is unmistakeable. 

tobias smiles at the woman’s reaction. the joyfulness that everyone seemed to get around koda brought such a happiness to tobias that nothing else could master. koda loved the petting , he lived for the pampering and it was evident on his face as the woman pet him. “ do you have a dog of your own ? “ the high school student asked , watching how much koda seemed to like her.

   “ he’s adorable. ” the dog is huge, but it’s a dog so isaak is enamored already. he scratches behind the pups ears and under his chin, a grin lighting up his face, “ koda - from the disney movie ?? ”

“ thanks !! “ koda couldn’t be more than happy to have the attention of the other man , especially when he was scratching him behind his ears. “ exactly , actually. “

his green eyes go wide and there’s nothing but a childish joy that shows up on adrian. within an instant he is on the ground petting the dog, one hand scratching his head while the other is there to stroke his back. looking up he can only smile before he signs a simple “thank you.” after a few more moments of what adrian would argue is true love, he stood back up and held out his hand to shake. obviously he had to make friends immediately.

tobias loved the joy that his dog brought to people. seeming that smile really brought something to the young boy. and koda seemed to enjoy the attention so he wouldn’t complain. tobias hasn’t been more grateful for their knowledge of ASL. he took a class junior year and some of it actually stuck. “ he likes you , “ tobias commented , shaking the others hand.

“ looks like he does ! he likes everyone as long as you scratch behind his ears. “

His feet stop as if he was frozen, looking at the face of someone that means so much to him, but they don’t remember him. “If you had an actual bear for a pet I would be concerned. Why the name Koda?” He bends down to pet the dog, glancing back up after a second.

tobias had never met the other before in his eighteen years but there was something so familiar . something that told him that this person was important but he had no idea why . piercing blue eyes glance at the other . “ a pet bear would be awesome , “ he shrugs . “ have you ever seen that disney movie ? the one with the two bears ? and the main guy is turned into a bear ? my dad liked that movie and it seemed to fit him . “

“ this is koda ! you can pet him , i promise ! he might be like a small bear but he’s more like a giant teddy bear than anything ! “

tobias was just heading home after hanging out at the library all night. and MAYBE he shouldn’t have taken the long way home but... oh well. “ um w-what ? “ the high school student stumbled over his words . “ thanks but , uh , i’m good ! “

                 “ you know , you’re a BIT too cute to be walking around this LATE , “ masked FIGURE will say teasingly , arms crossed over . they’ve been a little OFF PUT as of late , not feeling themself ALL TOO MUCH — and they didn’t like it . not one bit . “ i’d OFFER to walk you home , but that’s not really my style , y’know? “ if the person could actually see his face , they’d see him winking .

tobias johnson was just a regular guy . a regular high schooler who participated in sports , was president of his class and was going to go to NYU eventually ( probably on some sports scholarship. ) and no matter what jonthan kent-- or tobias johnson loved dogs . “ can i ? “ bright blue eyes widen with joy . “ i’d love to ! “

bucky barnes was the longest surviving prisoner of war, one of the howling commandos, an american war hero AND publicly known as infamous assassin the winter soldier. only issue? jamie did not know about that, he didn’t know that was him. he was easily recognizable for someone who had no idea they were technically famous so when the former soldier caught strangers eyes he often assumed it was the large husky mix that was often dragging him down the street garnering the attention. “ uh - hi. did you want to pet him? ” jamie spoke up the dog obediently taking a seat by his owners side.
