i …. haven’t posted in like 84 years !!!!! But I’m not gone I’m just putting this blog on a small HIATUS for a couple weeks !!! i have a lot of personal issues going on atm & i’m just too drained to write anything or even think abt tumblr !! hopefully i can find my inspiration to write again soon but for rn I need to focus on everything that’s going on in my life !! So I’m sorry for my spotty activity ! ily all if anyone wants to talk i’ll send u my discord (tho I admit i’m also …. rarely on there) okay bye love u !

     THIS MUST BE WHAT HAPPINESS FEELS LIKE – getting to wander around , not having to worry about battling heartless or fighting the darkness. it was great , wonderful really to be spending time doing… nothing. A DAY OFF. the last time he had this opportunity he spent it simply WATCHING other teenagers with their friends , WISHING he could be like them. &. now here he was , not just watching , but now AMONG them , &. this time with a friend of his own.

     they weren’t in the town for any particular reason , other than that they were curious to see if anything about the town had changed while they were in sora’s heart ( but he wasn’t thinking about that right now , that thought could come some other time ). they’d passed by the different shops that roxas had been in before – or at least , in the virtual town he’d been to those places. that bittersweet feeling of both nostalgia &. LOSS couldn’t hit so hard , though , since he was distracted. xion – maybe out of curiosity or maybe because she KNEW he may get upset otherwise – had asked him to tell her stories about the shops , the people in the town , or anything else he could think of. so he did.

     he was rambling , probably for what was much too long of a time , until they reached a certain familiar place. gazing up at the large window to what had once been his own ( fictional ) room , roxas stopped in the middle of the story about the missing necklace from the jewelry store. he couldn’t see inside – couldn’t tell if anyone was living there currently or if the virtual world had placed him in an empty house on purpose.

     out of nowhere , he feels a warm &. comforting presence gently holding his hand. he turns his head to face her , but her eyes are still looking up at the window. she must’ve figured it out – not that it would’ve been hard to guess anyway.

     ❝ thanks. ❞ he breaks the silence that he had brought upon them with just that one word. but he knows that she knows what he meant. it wasn’t just a thank you for comforting him , it was also for listening to his thoughts , coming here with him , &. for always being there for him.

     without saying anything in return , she turns her head back to him , finally catching his gaze with a soft smile on her face. they’re ready to move on from this place – HE’S ready to move on.

     she keeps her hold on his hand &. leads him toward the sunset.

hurt me. / accepting ! 

          EXHAUSTED. she was exhausted. tired of running, of questioning her existence. she just wanted to sit on the clock tower with her two best friends & eat ice cream & laugh & pretend, pretend, pretend like they had hearts. 

          she wondered why having a heart was a good thing, because even without one all she could FEEL was pain. she was hurting & she was ANGRY. she felt controlled by anger. anger at xemnas. anger at saïx. anger at riku. why should she give up who she is, so someone else could live? why should she say goodbye to roxas & axel, so sora could say hello to his own friends? but most of all, she was angry at herself, for knowing what she had to do. she hated that she wouldn’t allow herself to be selfish.

       THEY WERE SAT ON THE CLOCK TOWER; as they usually did. but she felt SAD, ( but she’s not REAL, she’s a THING & she can’t feel sad; can’t feel anything ) everything felt different now. it was all wrong. this would all be better if she’d never existed, roxas & axel would be better off without her. USELESS PUPPET.

           “ have you ever thought about running away? leaving the organisation, finding a place where they couldn’t track us down?” SILLY GIRL ( thing. it. puppet. ) with silly thoughts. she doesn’t look at roxas, doesn’t want to look. it’s HARD. looking at him when she’s knows her future, knows what’s at stake. she looks at him & feels so much guilt. she’s SORRY. so, so sorry that she CAN’T tell him the severity of the situation. why the world NEEDS sora & doesn’t need her ( even if roxas does ).

            “ that sounds nice xion. peaceful. “ she hears a slight hum in his voice & wants to look at him SO BAD. but she can’t. it hurts so much. she feels like her chest has been ripped apart & the ghost where her heart should be has been torn away. “ i’m not going anywhere without you, you know that right? “ 

            AND JUST LIKE THAT she’s sewn back together & ripped apart all at once. she loves roxas. she LOVES HIM & she loves axel & she DOESN’T WANT THIS. she doesn’t want to leave them. she finally looks up at him & is taken aback by the look of sincerity on his face. she loves him & she’s sorry. ( please forgive me for leaving, i need you to forgive me ). 

          she smiles at him & thinks having a heart isn’t worth it; if anguish was this severe without one. her fingers reach out to grab his & she gives a slight squeeze. “ i don’t want to go anywhere without you, roxas, “ & she turns her head away to look at the sunset, barely aware of the tear that was rolling down her cheek.

A few things of note:

Ignoring Mickey, Donald, Chirithy, and KH1 Sora, Ephemer is the shortest, followed by Kairi, Xion, & Namine in a 3-way tie, then young Eraqus

Sora, Roxas, Ven, Vanitas, and Dark Riku are all just about the same height. Repliku is very slightly taller due to his platform shoes (lmao)

Aeleus is the tallest, followed by Marluxia, then an approximate tie between Vexen, Ansem SoD, and Xemnas

Terra is second only to Axel in height among the guardians of light, but Terranort ranks among the shortest of Org 13

     HE DIDN’T KNOW WHY SHE WAS HERE – was she an ILLUSION or was she real? his head feels like it’s being bombarded with BRICKS , aching desperately trying to remember her name – remember who she was. there was something so familiar about that smile. about that look in her eyes , deep &. blue as the sky– no , the SEA. like a wave crashing on the sand , leaving beautiful seashells in its wake.

     ❝ you’re… ❞ it’s on the tip of his tongue now. remember. remember. remember her , remember who you were before. the organization. missions. axel. ice cream. clock tower. xion. XION. ❝ xion? ❞ everything comes flooding back to him now – she was ( is ) his best friend. he would’ve done anything to keep her safe &. to keep them together. but he couldn’t.

     ❝ we’re dead? ❞ he remembers seeing sora – asleep , missing MEMORIES scattered in the wind. he’d died for him , hadn’t he? &. xion had done the same. he REMEMBERED now. he feels like crying , tears of anger , anguish , &. PAIN , but nothing comes. a nobody couldn’t feel anything , right? even if he was in sora’s heart now.

     he watches her mouth move before he hears the ghost-like sound of her words. ❛ there was nothing more you could have done.❜ &. just like that she’s silent again , still staring at him with that tragic look in her eyes.

     ❝ we could’ve run away.❞ the words come out in rapid succession , as if they’ll remain unspoken if he doesn’t speak quickly. ❝ i don’t know where we could’ve gone but- ❞ no.she was right. there was nothing else he could have possibly done to SAVE her. they would’ve been found. either turned into dusks by the organization or KILLED by the man in the black coat. they couldn’t have changed their FATE. they would’ve wound up here sooner or later – not dead but not truly existing either. they’d be stuck here for who knows how long , maybe forever.

                    but at least he &. xion were together again.
