Losing my SoMo-Ginity

I suppose my first post on this blog could be my first SoMo concert experience...

I saw him October 2 in Kansas City! I was kind of bummed out about it being general admission because it always sucks and I got there a little late, but the crowd was really calm and everyone had plenty of wiggle room! 

Before Kirko and Jordan performed I hit up the bar and triple fisted a few vodka redbulls because I was nervous for the show! I haven’t been nervous for a concert in a really, really long time, but I was nervous for SoMo.

So I got a good buzz going, took some really cute selfies with my friends, and *fast forward* SoMo came onstage and I got so overwhelmed! I’ve been watching him on YouTube for years, and I feel like he’s my friend, like I grew up with him! To hear all those girls screaming his name and singing along to his music just got me so overwhelmed! I felt like a momma bird watching my babies leave the nest.

Well, I got over that quickly because he looked so damn good. He sounded incredible, he looked incredible, he put on such a good show...My post-concert depression has been strong!

During one of his last few songs, he threw a water bottle...In slow motion, I watched it soar through the air and it started to fall directly above my head. I reached up, misjudged, and the water bottle hit me square in the face! I had water in my eyes, so I couldn’t see, but my best friend Drew tried to scramble for it, but the girl standing next to me got the bottle. 

That’s fine. It’s a water bottle, for God’s sake. 

But I was truly blessed that night. SoMo hit me in the face with a water bottle. <3

Then, he took off his shirt. I just happened to have my camera zoomed in on him, and I just held down the shutter and got 92 shots of that glorious moment. His abs were sweaty--Homeboy is hella fine, and I lost my damn mind.

After the show, we went out for late night iHop, then back to the hotel. I changed into pajamas, which was a tshirt I bought from the merch table, and took a selfie on Snapchat and said “Sleeping with SoMo tonight ;)” and I sent him the snapchat.

...

...

And then he replied to my snapchat. Sent me a kissy face emoji. My heart was beating through my chest and I nearly flung myself off the eleventh floor balcony. I was so hyped up from the show, and getting hit in the face, and getting a snap reply that I couldn’t fall asleep. I just sat in bed listening to my friends snore and replayed my videos over and over and over again. 

I can’t stop talking about it, so I came home and made a blog. 

So here I am :)
