"I thought we wanted this..."
Ironies.
As we already know, in the manga of our favorite ghost boy there is always some parallel, moments where we look back and realize it has happened before. Moments that reference others, despite the scenarios or arc in which it takes place, and it is obviously something intentional on the part of the authors.
If we were to revere all the times when ironically similar moments occurred, we would be talking about them until tomorrow. In the end, it seems that character's mistakes are not so far apart, in fact they are very similar, a déjà vu.
And like déjà vu, we start with Amane, not Hanako, not the facade he assumed. Amane and Tsukasa, the brothers, would like to destroy all the yorishiros to fulfill a wish granted by a higher being, God.
And that wish, what would it be? Salvation, erasure of their sins, and rest? Perhaps. Amane's wish, despite the selfishness, the wish would end the remnants of his twin brother's existence, who didn't care if that happened, it was what Amane wanted, but he didn't care about Tsukasa. Right?

The situation was created by misfortune, by Amane Yugi's lack of reach. Tsukasa's perception was also already ignorant; he thought nothing mattered anymore. Not even their relationship.
And unfortunately, friends, this will not be the last situation where someone literally put someone else down and questioned their actions, and chapter 86 is here to remind us of that.

"Isn't that what you wanted?"
Yashiro confronts Hanako for committing wrongdoings in the name of regaining the lifespan that, in theory, never existed for the poor girl. But he did so without consulting her first. The proof of love, but a love that perhaps, deep down, is a little more unpredictable, or rather, dangerous.
Doesn't that remind you of something? They both try to stop, things are different now, a clear confusion, a change of desires, but the listener is already distant, somehow, opposing opinions.
They argue, they deny, and then, the end is.

"I hate you so much."
I hate you so much for caring. I hate you for making me care so painfully. I hate that I still love you, and most of all, I hate you for not understanding this.

Anyway, we're running in circles all the time, it seems.
But anyway, that was just a a digression of mine.
Hi, hi, hi. It's been a while since I posted anything here, hasn't it? A very short time, just... A year? Okay, it was quite a while. But it was fun anyway. The details in this manga are incredible and they try to remind us of the path the story has already taken, every detail seeks to tell the story better, and it's magical, really ಥ‿ಥ
If I'm wrong or forgetting something, feel free to correct me, I appreciate it!
Bye~
(Note: I was inspired a bit by a post by thelunarfairy to make this quick analysis.)

This strangely fit like a glove.
Here I was, remembering the happier times of Hanako-kun (although at that time things were already starting to get dark), I was rereading one of the most iconic arcs, in my opinion, of course. The Perfect Painting arc.

Sure, it won't be a complex theory or a mind-blowing event.
But. In chapter 57, we see this:

Mitsuba's in a box with 'fragile' written on it, and Yashiro's in a box with 'vegetables' written on it.
I think you described each of them very well, brush-chan!🥺
That was really cute, haha.
