The third anniversary episode is now live as we embark into Season four! I read three stories by Roger D. Aycock: "Ultimatum", "Grim Green World" and "The Wheel is Death."
I hope you've enjoyed the past three years of episodes, and I look forward to sharing more classic science fiction with you.

Episode Index is going to need organizing
71 episodes of Old Man Yells at Spaceship have been recorded. One more episode to go and I'll have released 3 full seasons. It's a good feeling.
When I started doing this podcast, I had no idea that I'd feel such a sense of satisfaction three years in. Bit by bit, I've recorded over 22 hours of show. Given that each episode takes about 2 to 3 times it's run length to record, edit, and clean up for posting, this means I've spent 2-3 full days on this over the past 3 years.
I know people are listening, I can see the statistics on the various sites I've connected the feed to. I have no idea how many of those listeners came from Tumblr, or found me on other social media, or had me suggested to them by an algorithm on Spotify or Apple Podcasts.
I've even had feedback sent directly to me, from someone who'd been looking for a science fiction story I'd just so happened to have read. It sounded like they enjoyed what they found, which made me very happy.
So, if you have been listening, thank you. I'm not monetizing any of this, it wasn't my goal to do so (though I do have a kofi link in my Episode Index post, for anyone who wants to support the show). I don't know if Spotify or any of the others put ads on my episodes, but if they are I'm not benefiting from them. I'm not doing this to try and get rich or famous. I just wanted to use my voice to do something I thought would be fun. If people like it, even better.
If you've been listening, I want to hear from you! Let me know if you have a favorite story I've done, or one I haven't done. For copyright reasons I'm only reading stories in the pubic domain, but that covers a lot of ground and a lot of fun stories.
Thank you.

The new episode is up! I read "The Shipshape Miracle" by Clifford D Simak. This is episode 23 of Season 3. The next episode to go up will be the last episode of this season.
We don't take a break, so we'll be back in July with the first episode of SEASON FOUR. I can hardly believe it. Thank you all for your support over the past three years. I hope you've enjoyed the stories as much as I have.

We are experiencing technical difficulties with launch, please stand by...
Due to unforeseen circumstances, the new episode will be delayed until Monday.
I haven't missed an episode until now, so it's an odd feeling, but it just wasn't going to happen this time and I don't think I could accept that until now.
Hopefully this will be the only one.
