half of the reasons i see for leaving him out make absolutely zero sense. ive been in the call of duty fandom so so so so long. A reminder with PBS being defunded that it is SO MUCH MORE than PBS Kids. It broadcasts educational shows about science, history, current events, nature, art and so much more, instructional television for cooking and home improvement, British shows that might not be available in the states if it wasn’t for PBS, theatre productions, indie productions that PBS gives an opportunity to broadcast they might not get otherwise, and all that’s not even mentioning NPR!!!!! Losing PBS would not only be losing nostalgic shows like Sesame Street and Arthur, but shows for teens and adults who might not be able to afford other channels as well, and THAT is one of the many reasons why it’s so important to fight for it. It's Juneteenth yall. And I'm not letting this day go unmarked.

Black people fight for everybody. We stand in solidarity with women, lgbt people, poor people all over the world of every skin color and background. Every religion and nationality.

Today, stand with us. Be with us. Tell a black person you love them. Hug a black person (with consent). Ask that hot black girl out today. Make a black person smile. Black lives matter to everybody and you matter to us.

When the task force find themselves in a safe house in the middle of Cuba for a recon mission, they all become bored.

The heat is unbearable. Everyone except Ghost have sunburns, although he’s a sweaty mess under that mask.

Naturally, Soap spends most of the time shirtless. It’s driving Simon fucking mad.

He can’t stop looking at his happy trail, the way the sweat makes his Mohawk cling to his skin, that fuckass tattoo of Charlie Brown on his lower back. Ghost has been through torture, seen his friends and family die and many unspeakable things, but nothing made him doubt his survival as much as this did.

“Gaz, tell my mum I love her” Johnny groans dramatically, stretching his back, revealing the waistband of his boxers. Ghost can’t breathe.

Gaz rolls his eyes and chucks a water bottle at the Scott.

Price walks into the room smoking an authentic Cuban cigar (one of the main reasons he even accepted the mission) and narrows his eyes at his boys. His gaze ends up landing on Ghost.

have another moment for the ledgers, catalogs, and records that were burned and the homes that were destroyed to hide the presence of very much alive and still enslaved people on dozens of plantations and homesteads across the south for decades after emancipation.

and have a third moment for those who were hunted and killed while fleeing the south to find safety across the border, overseas, in the north and to the west.

black people. light a candle, write a note to those who have passed telling them what you have achieved in spite of the racist and intolerant conditions of this world, feel the warmth of the flame under your hand, say a prayer of rememberance if you are religious, place the note under the candle, and then blow it out.

if you have children, sit them down and tell them anything you know about the life of oldest black person you've ever met. it doesn't have to be your own family. tell them what you know about what life was like for us in the days, years, decades after emancipation. if you don't know much, look it up and learn about it together.
