as of march 12th clip studio is on sale celebrating their version 4 release. it's an incredibly powerful drawing program you will NOT regret getting, especially if you want to ditch adobe. the sale ends in 5 days so if you were looking into getting it, now's the time

and since i see this brought up often when i make these posts:

for pc and mac users, there's a perpetual license option; you do NOT have to get a subscription to use clip studio unless you're on an ipad

you can forever own the version of the program you buy; if a future version has things you want, you will be able to upgrade for a discount

future update releases won't make your current version unusable. you simply won't have the features any new release will include. for example, i will not be upgrading from ver 3 to ver 4 because i'm not interested in the new features

pro is for illustrations, character art, concept work; ex has handy tools for comics, webtoons and animation. both can make use of their 3d assets

As someone with OCD, THANK YOU for saying that!

Like it was said earlier, often intrusive thoughts stem from what someone feels is scary or incredibly morally wrong. OCD actively uses your own moral code against you.

As someone who has OCD and has come out the other side after therapy and whatnot (so I can now understand what intrusive thoughts are now), we are probably the last people who would ever do the things we have intrusive thoughts about.

As an example, pedophilic intrusive thoughts often result in people actually avoiding children and anything connected to children because of this fear that because they've had an intrusive thought it means they could be a pedophile. Interacting with children or even just being reminded of children can even cause a person with OCD to have a great deal of anxiety. It can take therapy to realize that you're not actually a danger to anyone and start living without fear and guilt again.

OCD thoughts aren't secretly what we're thinking. I think of it like a parasite that isn't a part of you but instead an outside source that feeds on your fears. So it does everything possible to create this anxiety in you.

If anyone who has OCD is reading this please know it's not you. Ignore what ignorant people say, your intrusive thoughts are not you.

Hello everyone, by now you've probably seen me sharing Bisan's campaign many times on my blog. I wanted to make an official post of my own highlighting her fundraiser.

Bisan reached out to me a few months ago, and we have become good friends. She is a very kind and caring person, even checking in on me when I have been unwell while she is in the middle of a genocide.

Bisan needs to raise £16,000 for her and her family, to cover the extremely high costs of food, medicine, and winter supplies. Bisan was able to get a new tent for her family, but with the cold of winter upon them, it does very little to keep them warm at night. Food and medicine are catastrophically expensive, and there is never enough to find or go around. Bisan has been trying to find flour for days to no avail, and she cannot find all of the medicine that her Father needs. Bisan herself has gotten sick multiple times over the past few months.

There is also the constant threat of bombings and gunfire around them at all times from the IDF. Bisan tells me that the shooting never stops, and it makes me worry for the safety of her and her family. Every day I message Bisan, to make sure her and her family are still okay. I worry constantly for my friend and her loved ones, but despite the horrific situation Bisan is in, she is an extremely kind and compassionate person with endless love in her heart for those around her.

So, if you have any money to spare, please consider donating it to Bisan's fundraiser. I understand money is very tight for a lot of us, and there are many campaigns that need our attention. But even the smallest donations will add up if enough people keep donating, so please do what you can. Donate whatever you're able to, share this to your blog, to your friends/family, to your other social media, anything you can do will help greatly. Please do not ignore my friend.

Bisan's campaign has been slowing down a lot recently, with barely any donations in DAYS. So far we have gotten her campaign to £13,819 / £16,000 which is amazing, and we are slowly nearing £14,000. I know we can make it to this number.

So, as an added encentive, for every $5 or more you donate to Bisan's campaign (with proof of donation), I will draw you something, with higher donations getting better quality work. I know I haven't posted any of my art in ages, it honestly hasn't felt right to post my own art with everything going on, but if you want an extra bonus for helping my friend then I will draw you something for donating. But even if you can only donate $1, it will still go a long way, so please do not hesitate to donate if that's all you can give. And please give more if you're in a position to do so! $5 is just the minimum amount to get a drawing, but PLEASE give more if you're able!

Hello hello hello! Since we are already in the holiday season and I need to save some money for gifts and a couple of important things at home, I have come here with a special offer… for fun!!

Something is Killing the Children is a horror comic by James Tynion IV about monsters who hunt children and a woman who hunts monsters. It has really creepy art and such atmospheric storytelling. "Warning, contains violence against children" - An internet user.

"Haunted women. Women who haunt the narrative. Lots of metaphors about weaponizing childhood trauma (derogatory) and musing about the nature of monsters, if they're made or born. In terms of plot, it's like really fucked up peter pan mixed with a slasher. Has crunchy gore art if that's your thing"

Also it contains the first rep of a gay boy who is younger than mid teens that I ever saw, which may not be a big draw to anyone else but is a big draw to me.
