I love The Spirt Bares It's Teeth so much it's a book I could read every day for the rest of my life and never would I get bored of it

Every time I read it I fall in love with the book more

One of my favorite things about the book is the fact that at the start there is a warning of the content in the book that refers to reading the book as an operation and says "You can get off the operating table at any time you want I won't blame you"

I love that so much because it's suiting for the book to say that

I also love the foreshadowing that's so subtle I missed it the first two times I read the book

The fact that when Silas arrives at Braxton's he notices that the teacher had "misshapen socks" foreshadowing the fact that her feet were mutilated

I just love this book so much

I love how when Silas realizes Daphne is like him he is so relieved and he let's himself break when he had spent 16 years being broken because he was told he had to be broken to be fixed so that he would loved and he finally found someone like him

I do really feel bad for Silas because he really loved his brother and it was clear that his brother loved him too his brother might not have understood what Silas was going through but he was trying

George, his brother, gave Silas his old clothes because he knew it would help Silas and he did so much to let Silas learn to be a doctor beside him

And I also understand George didn't really have much choice because he had to take care of his wife somehow and if the only way he could money was going against everything he believed in he had to do it

I love the way Silas uses metaphors related to the human body and surgery like when something makes sense he compares it a joint clicking into place and when something doesn't make sense he says it's "nothing like a scalpel going through skin"

I also really fucking live the way Silas sees himself and his manhood

"How cruel is it, that I only get to be myself as a costume?"

"A strange truth about being a boy like me is how difficult it is to untangle the truth of yourself from the world's perception of you..I still connect with women. I find companionship with them, closeness that cannot be denied, because the world will always do it's darnedest to see me as one of them. As long as we are seen as the same, we will experience the same."

I also really love the characters how they each have a part and show something important

As much as I hate Charlotte she is a great character she shows how the school breaks the girls to be perfect

Although I still hate her as a person I love her as a character if that makes any sense

I love the parts told in the girls perspective as spirits

"Because they know how angry dead girls can be"

"At least the doctors has the decency to kill me before they started."

I love that the pages are black when in the girls prespective

I also really love how the spirits take form of the most traumatic thing that happened to them

Ellen is mangled because the school had driven her so insane before they killed her

Anyways I fucking love this book mors vincit omnia or whatever
