I still have thoughts about Cinta, but I'm not ready to discuss them with the greater SW discourse because y'all know how fans can be, yeah?
BUT I have found comfort in imagining Vel, widowed and sad on Yavin, and Kleya, the mother of the Rebellion who thought she was on a suicide run and survived, finding solace in each other.

Ordered!!
Look at this beauty. A 500-page book centered around Mon Mothma. If God hates the gays, why do we keep winning?

Argh unfortunately due to life being an ass, I have had to put a lot of my writing on hold for the time being. I still get ideas and write them down in a frenzy at 2am, but rn work has been beating me up, so won’t be updating my wolfwren fic for a bit until it’s settled.

Oh no :(
when andor first tells them about the existence of the death star, out of everyone in that room, bail organa is the most vocal in dismissing its existence.
bail organa. from alderaan.
let that sink in

This aged poorly
Really living for Kleya having a horrible time running the rebellion on her own bc Luthen is off asking miracles of everyone

Really starting to wonder if luthen knows exactly what he's telling people to do. He keeps commanding Cassian to go and do risky things, and getting upset when Cass doesn't want to risk it.
It's almost like (real world parallels am I right) telling the public to throw your money at crowdfunding (or similar) when the people are struggling themselves.
It's that kind of righteousness that a person can hide behind. The idea that if you aren't giving everything, you are supportive of the cause.
At some point you have to prioritise yourself before you can give to others who are also struggling.
And I think it's easy for Luthen to play that authority card where he is the one who knows what is supposed to be done for the rebellion, but doesn't realise what he's asking is Cassian's life and family. And from seeing Rogue One, we know it works, bc Cass loses everything.
It's the tragedy of push and pull here, and Luthen is probably going to have a rude awakening to it when he loses something close to him that he didn't plan for.

There's something about having two "evil" characters start dating that just makes me a little uncomfortable??
Like Syril fell for Dedra way faster and before her, assuming she fell for him too. It kinda feels like she's doing it out of sympathy because he saved her, and less like she actually felt the same way to begin with.
But, I do think she started gaining affection for him over time, esp in the time jump we've had. So although not entirely healthy, it's still a consenting and real relationship. And we know that bc Dedra is constantly checking in on how Syril is doing during the meal with his mother, and seems genuinely concerned for him at times. I dont know if she actually has good intentions for him, but I believe she's being won over by his cartoon villain charm.
Obviously just my observations thus far!!

This is just the tip of the ice burg of my ideas about Andor lol
I think one thing we have to talk about, especially with Mon Mothma's arc in season 2 of Andor, is how you cannot half ass what you believe.
For example, with Mon, it's very easy to see why she is being so protective, she has a lot to lose, and if the wrong people, (like Syril,) go looking, her entire part of the rebellion will collapse.
But it isn't just the money that I'm talking about. Her crashout during the wedding was her finally realising that Luthan had to remove Tay from the picture, and that she had to have blood on her hands to ensure the security of the rebellion.
And we can truly parallel that to real life too. It's not really about how much money you can give, it's what you may have to lose in order to fight for what you believe. For Mon, it's only just hit her that it's something you cannot avoid. For us, it's having to leave people behind that don't follow the same beliefs you do.
It's a massive thing to do of course, but you cannot be part of something and also be surrounded by those who don't feel the same, or want to go against what you believe. You have to be pretty emotionally part of your beliefs, instead of standing by and watching other people slander it.
Anyway, all that goes to say, Mon Mothma has such a delicate and complicated story, and I can't wait to see what Andor brings next.

Super refreshing to hear Bix say "he tried to rape me" bc we very rarely hear it so plainly. No wonder Andor season 2 got such a high rating
