Not that Hyrule has specific diagnoses, but Doll grew up with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, a condition that causes thin, weak skin and hyperflexibility in the joints. Before his first adventure was over, Doll was researching Heroes of the past and had come to the conclusion that he could replace joints that failed or other parts that had been injured. A few pieces he crafted himself, but most he worked with artisans to produce, preferring tough, enchanted porcelain. As he adventured, he replaced more and more, coming to see himself as more puppet than human. He died young—and then was revived decades later with more repaired parts than ever, winding up in A Link Between Worlds.

Now, Doll has a modest home to himself in Hyrule, but can often be found with the court, and more specifically with Zelda, to whom he is informally betrothed. He is well-spoken and navigates the political atmosphere with ease, but a part of his heart does long for adventure again, despite everything. He has rather mixed feelings about what he is now, and can occasionally try to conform to people's opinions of him rather than be true to himself. He misses traveling and all that it brings, and takes most chances he can get to leave the kingdom on errands.

Hello! It's about time for an update on this project, and I arrive with bad news. So, this is not the most recent update on this. The file I was working on got corrupted, along with a lot of other files. It's really rather unfortunate, but this is the last time you'll see this test animation. On the bright side, it was a test, and I learned a lot from attempting it. While I was definitely in the home stretch, I hope to put what I've learned to the actual series, now. Before that, though, there are a few other projects I want to try out. Safe to say, while it is a dampening-of-the-spirits setback, you haven't seen the last of me! Cheers!

The hairs on the back of Adam’s neck froze and he pressed the pause button. Whether this was the future or some strange present or some stranger past, Adam didn’t want to figure out. He took a step away from the railing, hoping to find another set of stairs down a different hall, but stopped in his tracks, blood like ice, when DIO took a step up the stairs. Neither spoke for a moment. Even from this distance Adam could see the furrow in DIO’s brow, confusion and shock warring within his expression. The ice in Adam’s blood turned into boiling heat. “Who are you?” DIO asked, words harsh, shot through bared teeth. “How can you have the same type of stand?”
