[ i like to think that oz can be… accidentally unsettling, every now and then, especially if he’s not particularly focused. like out of nowhere he would comment about one of your uncommon fears. you get mildly uncomfortable near a mountain and don’t have the right word for that fear and he just goes “oh yea that’s terrifying. you think mountains can come to life too?” out of the blue before realizing that you didn’t say anything about it and immediately just tries to change the subject.  he sometimes stares in front of him because someone on the other side of the room got scared because of a video they watched and they had a sudden spike of terror he couldn’t ignore.  one of his little guys says something to him while you two chat and he just mutters something in gibberish back and you don’t know it’s a chat about you refusing to go in one specific way because you noticed a black cat ]

Like she said. Beggars can't be choosers, and while she likes it when her paramours can take a hint and play the game of back-and-forth that she likes, navigating her whims and the dressings of romance, even as they lead here, she might as well get things into motion. She already put her teeth around Oz once. It's not such a hard leap to understand that she would like to use them. For that, he gets a single rose, fragrant and flushing from a princess pink at the edge of its petals to a lurid crimson at its heart; a key, golden and ornate and etched with the symbol of her kingdom, the open heart laid bare, billowing smoke and coiling with tube worms through its arteries; and a little note tied around it, penned so prettily in shiny blue ink, dotted with a signature and a heart, which reads, "Meet me at my castle. You do know why."

Well, one of them had to make things go a little bit faster, isn't it? The things in question being... complex, to say the least.

Oz already mentioned to her how much he adored her, and yet he kept pushing himself back, saying things just to act in the complete opposite way. One could say he was fumbling it. The fact that he was scared of her just as much as he loved her didn't make things any easier, of course-- but it's not like he could blame her for trying to be a little more assertive.

Even with her odd methods.

Some might enjoy a gift such as this one, but Oz? That... just makes him feel nervous.

something about his friends growing up and making new experiences and learning to be their true self in so little time for someone who lived for an eternity and growing old and the more they do the more he adores them and the more he knows that their time as young adults who just wanna have fun is gonna come to an end and it's an eternal cycle of him learning to open up just to slowly see his idealized world disappear once a gain and closing off again.
